Analysis of Equivalent Torque of 78 kW Agricultural Tractor during Rotary Tillage (78 kW급 농업용 트랙터의 로타리 경운 작업에 따른 등가 토크 분석)

  • This paper is a basic study for the performance evaluation, durability improvement and optimal design of tractor transmission. The engine torque of the 78 kW agricultural tractor during rotary tillage was measured using CAN communication. It was calculated with equivalent torque and then analyzed. In order to develop a reliable tractor, it is important to convert measured torque in various agricultural operations into equivalent torque and analyze it. The equivalent torque was calculated using Palmgren-Miner's rule, which is a representative cumulative damage law. The equivalent torque of rotary tillage period and steering period are 229.2 and 136.7 Nm, respectively. The maximum and average torque during rotary tillage period are 336.0 and 234.4 Nm, respectively. The maximum and average torque of the steering period are 288.0 and 134.6 Nm, respectively. The engine torque in rotary tillage period is higher than in the steering period because of cultivation of soil through PTO. The maximum and rated torque of engine are 387.0 and 323.0 Nm, respectively, which are 183% and 136% higher than the equivalent torque during rotary tillage and of steering section. Because transmission of agricultural tractor in Korea companies is generally designed by the rated torque of engine, there is a difference from measured torque during agricultural operations. Therefore, it is necessary to consider it for optimal design.

The Cutting Characteristics of Rotary Tools Using Regression Analysis (회귀분석법을 이용한 로타리 공구의 절삭 특성)

  • This paper deals with the study of feasibility of rotary carbide tools in the machining of aluminium alloy. A rotary tool holder was designed and manufactured for this work. Experiments were performed using Taguchi methods and regression analysis to analyse the influence of various factors and their interactions on the cutting characteristics of rotary carbide tools during machining. The cutting force is influenced the most featly at the inclination angle. The surface roughness is influenced distinctly at depth of cut. It deduced an equation to predict cutting force and surface roughness. Hence, it could be concluded here that the proposed model agrees with the experimental data satisfactorily.

  • An experimental study to investigate the unconventional chip formation called triangulation of chip in cutting with a SPRT (self-propelled rotary tool) is performed using acoustic emission (AE) signal analysis. In doing that, a quantitative model of the AE RMS signal in triangulation with a SPRT is first developed. The predicted results from this model show good correlation between the AE RMS signal and the general characteristics of triangular chip formation. Then, effects of various process parameters such as cutting conditions (cutting speed, depth of cut, oblique angle and normal rake angle) and the work material properties on the chip formation in cutting with a SPRT are explored. Special attention is paid to the work material properties which are found to have significant effects on triangulation.

  • 우리나라는 국토의 약 68%가 산악지형으로 포장의 경사와 토양중의 자갈이 밭작물의 재배와 기계화에 장애가 되고 있다. 포장중의 자갈은 토양의 보습력과 통기성을 향상시키고 경사지에서의 토양침식을 방지하는 긍정적 측면이 있으나, 자갈이 토양 표면에 산재할 경우 작물의 발아와 입모를 억제하고, 작물생육을 위한 토양환경을 조성하는 경운작업 재배관리 작업을 어렵게 하기 때문에, 농민들은 포장내의 자갈을 제거하기 위해 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 특히 관행 로타리 작업 시에는 자갈이 대부분 토양 표면에 노출됨으로 생육환경 및 기계작업 환경을 더욱 악화시키게 된다. 2cm이상의 자갈이 토양 표면에 있을 경우 기계 파종이나 이식이 어렵고 발아이후의 생육도 좋지 않게 된다. 그러나 지중에 존재하는 자갈은 토양의 투수성을 향상하여 경사지에서 토양침식을 막아주고, 수분과 온도의 보지력을 크게하고 토양 통기성을 향상시키므로 뿌리의 발육을 촉진해 준다.   • Vibration and Noise of air conditioner are entirely determined by compressor vibration. Compressor vibration transmitted to the enclosure of air conditioner or pipes connected compressor with heat exchanger. Enclosure generate(noise and vibration. Therefore, the analysis of compressor vibration analysis is considered significant technical issue. For the reduction of vibration of compressor, it is necessary to grasp correctly vibration transmission paths and excitation sources in the compressor shell. Because, shell ( Surface of compressor ) shows whole vibration characteristic of compressor mechanism. In this paper, vibration intensity was applied to measure vibration energy flow on the shell .From this technique, it is possible to catch the path of vibration propagation along the one cycle and the location of vibration energy sources may change with time on the shell.

  • Japanese larch veneer, Cryptomeria veneer and japanese cypress veneer were peeled with condition of nose bar pressure at 5%, 10%, 15%, to find the optimum nose bar pressure. 1. Optimum nose bar pressure was 15% in 2mm thickness veneer of japanese larch. 2. Optimum nose bar pressure was 5% in 2mm thickness veneer of Cryptomeria. 3. Optimum nose bar pressure was 15% in 2mm thickness veneer of japanese cypress.

  • For a R134a rotary vane compressor used for car air conditioners, characteristics of gas compression and oil supply have been studied. The compressor model under investigation has the low volume ratio of suction to discharge volumes so that there occur flow reversal from discharge port to compression chamber as the leading vane passes over the discharge port. As a result, the volumetric and adiabatic efficiencies turn out to be relatively low compared to other types of displacement compressors. Oil supply mechanism has been comprehended for mathematical modeling and oil flow rate has been calculated for the individual oil passages. This study on the gas compression and oil supply of a rotary vane compressor can be applied to a future design practice on a similar type of compressor.
