Distance Weighted Filter based on Standard Deviation Distribution for AWGN Removal (AWGN 제거를 위한 표준편차 기반의 거리가중치 필터)

  • In modern society, with the development of IoT technology, various digital equipment is being distributed in a wide range of fields such as CCTV and exploration robots. Accordingly, the importance of data processing is increasing, and various studies are being conducted to remove noise generated in the process of receiving data in the imaging field. Representative noise includes additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), and existing filters for removing noise include an average filter (AF), an alpha trimmed average filter (A-TAF), and a median filter (MF). However, existing filters have a disadvantage in that they show somewhat insufficient performance in noise removal characteristics in high frequency areas. Therefore, in this paper, in order to effectively remove AWGN existing in the high frequency region, a weight filter according to a distance based on the standard deviation is proposed.

  • Lone Death is increasing as elderly population increases. Lone elderly is vulnerable in society for many reasons. This paper explores digital solution to protect solitary in society. First, sensor and AI care robot can be used to collect digital data and situation check. Second, digital device is checked regularly and visiting is expanded in digital environment. Third, digital emergency security system should be established. Fourth, user education is to be regularly carried out including complementary education.

  • As a 4th industrial revolution technology, robots are changing the form of labor market and trade in Korea. In the future, changes in the international trade order are expected to move in the direction of shortening global supply chains and restricting trade between countries. Accordingly, reshoring of relocating overseas production facilities to Korea or near-shoring of relocating overseas production facilities to neighboring allies may expand. In this context, this study analyzed the impact of robot introduction on the domestic labor market and trade based on firm-level data. As a result of analysis based on the 'business activity data' accumulated from 2017 to 2019, the introduction of robot technology was analyzed to expand low-wage, low-skilled employment. Analysis on trade shows that the introduction of robots decreases exports and increases imports. In order to expand exports through the technology of the 4th industrial revolution, employment expansion and robot introduction should occur at the same time, rather than replacing the labor force with robots. In addition, it is thought that reshoring's goal of risk management can be achieved when a stable supply chain for imports of raw materials or essential goods, which are difficult to transfer to Korea, is established together.

  • 한국통합 물류협회에 따르면 총 택배 물량은 2020년은 약34억 개, 2021년은 약36억 만 개로 매년 꾸준히 성장하였다. 택배 물류센터에서 택배를 고객에게 전달시키기 위해서는 포장, 검수, 진열, 파지, 상차, 하차 등 많은 공정이 필요하다. 고용 인력의 부족, 인건비 상승, 부상의 위험, 높은 노동의 강도 등의 문제가 발생하였고, 소비자들의 입장에서도 제품 손상 또는 배송 지연 등의 여러 가지 문제를 야기해왔다. 본 논문은 로봇과 자율주행 기술을 활용하여 상품의 분류 및 배송과정을 자동화 하는 '스마트 물류창고 시스템'을 제안한다. 컨베이어 벨트를 이용해 택배물품의 분류를 자동화하고 자율주행 차량을 통해 배송을 하게 되고 DB를 통해 물품을 관리하게 되어 효율적인 운영을 가능하게 하고 경제적 손실을 줄인다. 적외선 센서, 바코드 센서를 이용해 컨베이어 벨트 구동 및 물품의 정보를 알 수 있으며 서보모터로 물품을 분류한다. 또한 입출고 차량이 명령을 통해 물품을 자동으로 입고 및 출고하여 DB에게 물품의 정보를 전송한다. 스마트 물류창고 시스템을 통해 인건비 절감, 오 배송, 물품 파손 등이 사라지게 되고 물류창고 뿐만 아니라 다양한 분야에서 적용 할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 최근, RFID 기술이 발전하면서 RFID의 활용분야는 유통 물류 시스템 중심에서 로봇이나 홈 네트워크 시스템과 같은 다양한 분야로 확대되고 있다. 이는, RFID태그와 RFID리더를 사용하여 객체의 정보를 빠르고 정확하게 검색 할 수 있기 때문이며, 이에 따라 RFID 네트워크를 이용하는 시스템의 효과적인 객체정보 추출을 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 이와 관련하여, 본 논문에서는 RFID를 이용하는 시스템의 효과적인 객체정보 관리 시스템을 설계하고 개발하였다. 이는 RFID 네트워크 외부에 존재하는 RFID 게이트웨이와 RFID 네트워크를 구성하는 어플리케이션 서버, 변환 서버, 객체정보 서버로 구성된다.

  • This paper is analyzing the SoC policy of major nations as the U.S, Japan, Europe, Taiwan, China and draw the suggestions for the development of semiconductor industry in Korea. SoC is the non-memory semiconductor to support and put into action the function of system. SoC is big market over the 200billion dollars and have a huge potential for new IT convergence market. Developed countries as the US, Japan, and Europe have enforced the industrial competitiveness by company investment and Taiwan supported the SoC Industry by government fund. Korea is No.1 superpower in DRAM semiconductor, but very weak in SoC Industry. We should secure the competitiveness of SoC Industry by the development of core technology, planning the growth policy, and building the cooperative model to leap the SoC power nation.

  • The conventional remote fire image monitoring system has insufficient ability to check the video information of the fire scene in real time, so it was difficult to grasp the actual situation in case of fire and cope with it rapidly. In this paper, we propose a design of real­time fire image monitoring system using new RTSP module, which is composed of a server with RTSP function and client for transmitting and receiving images using wi­fi from a camera attached to such a robot system. We implemented the proposed remote fire monitoring system capable of receiving live video transmitted from a camera and confirmed, by field test, that the fire video image was normally received.

  • In this paper we present a translation lookaside buffer (TLB) system with low power consumption for embedded processors. The proposed TLB is constructed as multiple banks, each with an associated block buffer and a corresponding comparator. Either the block buffer or the main bank is selectively accessed on the basis of two bits in the block buffer (tag buffer). Dynamic power savings are achieved by reducing the number of entries accessed in parallel, as a result of using the tag buffer as a filtering mechanism. The performance overhead of the proposed TLB is negligible compared with other hierarchical TLB structures. For example, the two-cycle overhead of the proposed TLB is only about 1%, as compared with 5% overhead for a filter (micro) TLB and 14% overhead for a same structure without continuos accessing distinction algorithm. We show that the average hit ratios of the block buffers and the main banks of the proposed TLB are 95% and 5% respectively. Dynamic power is reduced by about 95% with respect to with a fully associative TLB, 90% with respect to a filter TLB, and 40% relative to a same structure without continuos accessing distinction algorithm.

Teleoperation Using Reconstructed Graphic Model (재구성된 그래픽 모델을 이용한 원격제어)

  • In typical master/slave teleoperation systems, a human operator generally manipulates the master to control the slave through the visual information like camera image. However, the operator may get into trouble due to the limited visual information depending on the camera positions and the delay on the visual information because of low communication bandwidth. To cope with this inherit problem in the camera-based teleoperation system, this paper presents a teleoperation system using a reconstructed graphic model instead of the camera image. The proposed teleoperation system consists of a robot control module, a master module using a force-reflective joystick, and a graphic user interface (GUI) module. The graphic user interface module provides the operator with a 3D model reconstructed using a small set of sensing data received from the remote site. The proposed teleoperation system is evaluated through a peg-in-hole assembly task.

Wide FOV Panorama Image Acquisition Method (광각 파노라마 영상획득 방법)

  • Wide FOV(Field-of-View) is required to contain much more visual information in a single image. The wide FOV imaging system has many industrial applications such as surveillance, security, tele-conference, and mobile robots. In order to obtain a wide FOV panorama image, an imaging system with hyperbolic cylinder mirror is proposed in this paper. Because the horizontal FOV is more important than the vertical FOV in general, a hyperbolic cylinder mirror is designed in this paper, that has a hyperbolic curve in the horizontal surface and is the same as a planar mirror in the vertical axis. Imaging model of the proposed imaging system is presented by ray tracing method and the hyperbolic cylinder mirror is implemented. The imaging performance of wide FOV is verified by experiments in this paper. This imaging system is cost-effective and is possible to acquire a wide panorama image having 210 degree horizontal FOV in real-time without an extra image processing.
