An Analysis on Technology System of Aircraft Development Based on the Concept of Architecture (아키텍쳐 개념 기반의 기술개발 체계분석 : 항공기 개발을 중심으로)

  • 기술의 복합성이 증가하고 제품의 존속 수명주기가 불확실해지면서 기술개발자가 의도하는 바와는 관계없이 사업 영역과 기술기반의 변하고 있다. 이러한 환경 속에서 산업 내 기술의 특성을 분석하는 이른바 산업기술분석 역할은 매우 중요하다. 그러나 그 범위가 매우 광범위하고 그 중 기술개발에 있어 관련된 산업기술분석의 프레임이 구체적으로 적용된 사례를 제한적이다. 따라서 다양한 산업을 지원하는 정부 기술개발 기회의 경우, 반도체에 적용되는 모듈러 기반 기술개발 틀과 성과분석이 항공기, 지능형 로봇과 같은 복합 시스템 산업에 그대로 적용해왔던 것이 현실이다. 이는 기술을 제품화함에 있어 필수적인 개발시스템의 기술적 속성이 산업기술 분석 방법론에 효과적으로 체화되지 못했기 때문이다 본 연구는 시스템과 서브 부품으로 구성되는 제품설계 특성을 구조화한 제품 아키텍쳐 이론을 소개하고 이를 기술개발체계에 적용하는 실증적 연구를 수행한다. 실증적 분석을 위해 항공기 개발 전 과정을 분해하고 아키텍쳐 분석방법을 실제 적용하였다. 아키텍쳐는 대표적으로 모듈 형(Module)과 인테그랄 형(Integral)으로 구분한다. 실제로 한 가지의 제품 안에도 모듈형 부품과 인테그랄 형 부품이 복합적으로 혼합되어 있는 경우가 많다. 또한, 제품을 어느 레벨까지 분해할 지에 따라 모듈화의 정도도 달라 질 수 있다. 본 연구는 아키텍쳐 중 Integral 속성의 정도를 파악하여 아키텍쳐 정도를 파악하였다. 측정 기준으로 첫째, 타 부품과의 기능적인 상호연관성과 둘째, 체계종합 설계와의 상호의존성 두 가지를 설정하였다. 이러한 두 가지 아키텍쳐 기준을 547개의 항공우주 부품 및 기술을 적용해 본 결과, 항공기 개발과정은 총 $65\%$의 인테그럴 속성을 가지고 있으며 기술분야 별로 아키텍쳐 정도가 다르게 나타나고 있었다(전자 부품은 분야는 오히려 모듈형에 가까웠음). 비단 항공기 개발과정 뿐만 아니라 다른 산업, 제품에도 적용될 수 있는 틀을 마련함으로써, 기존 연구개발기회에서 산업기술 분석을 통한 체계적 기획으로 전환할 수 있는 새로운 대안을 제시한다. 결과적으로 산업기술의 특성과 구조를 반영한 기술개발 방법론으로 아키텍쳐 이론을 적용할 수 있는 단초를 마련했으며, 이것은 본 논문이 기대하는 바이기도 하다.

국내 우수 연구자의 글로벌 공동연구 활동도 분석 연구 : 신산업 분야를 중심으로

  • 최근 4차 산업혁명 등 대외적 R&D 환경의 급속한 변화와 이로 인한 과학기술의 융 복합 및 첨단화가 가속화됨에 따라 이에 대응하기 위해 신산업분야를 중심으로 국가 간 공동협력이 점차 활발해짐에도 불구하고, 우리나라는 연구개발 주체의 연구역량 열위, 연구주체의 폐쇄성, 국가 R&D 제도적 미흡 등으로 인해 국가 간 공동연구 활동도가 매우 미흡한 편이다. 2016년 국가과학 기술혁신역량평가 국제협력 항목에서도 우리나라의 국제협력 항목지수는 0.206으로 2015년(0.182) 대비 0.024p 상승하였으나, 여전히 OECD 30개국 중 16위에 머무르는 것으로 나타났으며, 국제협력 상위 3개국에 대한 상대수준에서도 평균 10.3% 수준에 불과하여 국제 공동연구 활동도를 높이기 위한 다각적인 개선방안 확립에 대한 요구가 점차 증대되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2015년 연구에 이어 미래 신산업 분야에서 우리나라와 해외 주요국의 국제 공동연구 현황을 중심으로 핵심연구자 간(연구 활동도 상위 5위 이하) 국제공동연구에 대한 활동도 비교 분석을 통해 정확한 현황을 진단하고, 향후 우리나라 연구주체의 연구개발 개방화, 국제 협력 전략적 분야 및 대상 발굴, 국제공동연구 활성화 등에 대한 발전방안을 고찰하고자 하였다. 국내 및 글로벌 핵심 연구자 간 글로벌 공동연구 현황을 분석하기 위해서 KDD/KM 방법론을 활용한 공동연구자 분석(Co-author analysis)네트워크 기법을 활용하였으며, 동 방법론의 활용을 통해서 신산업 분야 중 가사로봇분야의 상위 10개 국가, 기관, 연구자에 대해 분석하고, 논문 활동도가 높은 글로벌 및 한국의 상위 5위까지의 핵심 연구자를 대상으로 연구자 간 국제공동연구에 대한 현황 및 활동도에 대한 공동연구 네트워크 분석을 수행하였다.

  • Compiler development projects, which are designed and taught in compiler course, allow students to practice and absorb valuable amount of experience and techniques in developing compilers. However, both instructors and students face difficulties as they are often limited by insufficient hands-on time during course of an academic year along with a relatively high level of technologies involved when dealing with compilers. As well, most compiler's target systems use interpreter-based technologies which are rather limited in drawing student's attention. As a result compiler courses often end up being more of a theoretical course than practical. This paper presents a new integrated development environment (IDE) that will help overcome aforementioned difficulties and allow students to obtain both theoretical and practical knowledge more efficiently. The development environment includes a reference compiler with $Mindstorms^{(R)}$ NXT Robots as the target system, compiler development tool, target language test tool, and code generation visualizer. It is developed as a plug-in for the popular Eclipse IDE which enables easy access and great expandability. This integrated development environment allows students to understand compilers better and start their development faster.

  • In this paper, we propose a Fuzzy Classifier System(FCS) makes the classifier system be able to carry out the mapping from continuous inputs to outputs. The FCS is based on the fuzzy controller system combined with machine learning. Therefore the antecedent and consequent of a classifier in FCS are the same as those of a fuzzy rule. In this paper, the FCS modifies input message to fuzzified message and stores those in the message list. The FCS constructs rule-base through matching between messages of message list and classifiers of fuzzy classifier list. The FCS verifies the effectiveness of classifiers using Bucket Brigade algorithm. Also the FCS employs the Genetic Algorithms to generate new rules and modify rules when performance of the system needs to be improved. Then the FCS finds the set of the effective rules. We will verify the effectiveness of the poposed FCS by applying it to Autonomous Mobile Robot avoiding the obstacle and reaching the goal.

  • Nowadays, the construction industry is suffering from the decrease of labor productivity caused by the lack of skilled workers and the aging labor forces. The hazardous work conditions and safety problems still exist at the construction sites. The earthwork operation is not the exception. The number of skilled earthwork equipment operators has been rapidly reduced and the equipment needs to be operated in dangerous / hazardous work sites. Thus, through the development of intelligent excavating system, Intelligent Excavating System(I.E.S) research team tries to enhance the safety of work environment, productivity, quality, and payability of the earthwork operation. It is also expected that this research contributes to the development of fundamental construction automation technologies and to the creation a new market sector.

  • There have been many efforts in automatic object recognition using computing technologies. Especially in the development of automated construction equipment, automatic object recognition is very important issue for the proper equipment maneuvering. 3D laser scanning, which uses (time-of-flight) method to construct the 3-dimensional information, is applied to the civil earth work environment for its high accuracy, quick data collection, and object recognition capability that will be developed by the authors in the future. The 3D earth model is also used as a fundamental information for intelligent earth work task planning. This paper presents the analysis of the 3D laser scanner market and selection of the most optimum 3D scanner for the intelligent earth work planning. As well as the hardware configuration for the automated 3D earth modeling is developed but also the software structure and detailed user interface are designed in this research. In addition, it is presented in this paper that the accuracy comparison test between TotalStation(R) which is a traditional survey tool and ScanStation(R). The accuracy test is done by relative distance measurement using known targets.

  • Recently, the drone industry rapidly rises to the surface as the new market leading the future, and it seems that the hot UAV drone market shows the similar trend to that of the smartphone. It is expected that the individual application of the drone is quickly diffused as the smartphone roles of camera and game player with the communication medium. For example, the drone is developed mainly as war weapons, but now it is getting close to our real life as the toy or tool for the aerial photography. In this paper, we studied the education for how to bring the aging population to the drone industry. Previously, the controlling skill and taking aerial photography seemed to have nothing to do with citizen seniors. However, we develop the education for try to show any positive relationship between those, in this paper, thus creating more job opportunities for them.

Recognition and Modeling of 3D Environment based on Local Invariant Features (지역적 불변특징 기반의 3차원 환경인식 및 모델링)

  • This paper presents a novel approach to real-time recognition of 3D environment and objects for various applications such as intelligent robots, intelligent vehicles, intelligent buildings,..etc. First, we establish the three fundamental principles that humans use for recognizing and interacting with the environment. These principles have led to the development of an integrated approach to real-time 3D recognition and modeling, as follows: 1) It starts with a rapid but approximate characterization of the geometric configuration of workspace by identifying global plane features. 2) It quickly recognizes known objects in environment and replaces them by their models in database based on 3D registration. 3) It models the geometric details the geometric details on the fly adaptively to the need of the given task based on a multi-resolution octree representation. SIFT features with their 3D position data, referred to here as stereo-sis SIFT, are used extensively, together with point clouds, for fast extraction of global plane features, for fast recognition of objects, for fast registration of scenes, as well as for overcoming incomplete and noisy nature of point clouds.

Development of the Novel Intraoperative Neuromonitoring for Thyroid Surgery (갑상선 수술을 위한 새로운 수술 중 신경감시시스템의 개발)

  • It is very important to identify recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) and prevent RLN injury during thyroid surgery. The intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) for the prevention of RLN injury is a useful method because it can identify the location and status of RLN and predict postoperative vocal cord function easily. The IONM consists of a stimulating side that applies electrical stimulation to the nerve and a recording side that measures the surface electromyography (EMG) of the vocal cord muscle through electrode endotracheal tube. The nerve stimulator and surgical dissector are separate instruments. So, during IONM for the prevention of the RLN injury in conventional, endoscopic, or robotic thyroid surgery, repeated exchanging between surgical instruments and the nerve stimulator is inconvenient and time consuming. On the recording side, the accuracy of the electrode endotracheal tube which measures the EMG of the vocalis muscle can be affected by contact with between electrode and vocal fold and position change of patient. We would like to introduce recent several researches to overcome the current limitations of IONM.

  • To prepare for and implement policies for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is characterized by convergence, super-connectivity, and AI, this study summarized the effects and characteristics of individual technologies on our society and discussed the issues with humanity and social science perspectives. As a result, in terms of AI technology, the issues of job losses, project-type works, basic income and robot taxes, accountability of AI, and algorithm inequality were dealt with. Security, cyber hacking and privacy infringement issues were highlighted in big-data technology. In the part of block-chain and bioengineering, the society of decentralization, the concentration, digital divide, and ethical issues were discussed. On-demand economic aspects highlighted the problems of civil ethics and human commercialization. Lastly, the development of VR is discussed including side effects such as cyber-syndrom, avoidance of reality, and so on.
