A Study on Development and Application of Artificial Intelligence Education Program using Robot (로봇 활용 인공지능 교육 프로그램 개발과 적용에 관한 연구)

  • In elementary school software education, a programming process is experienced through a simple problem solving process. And even this experience emphasizes that the problem-solving process is a CS Unplugged activity. However, CS Unplugged has a disadvantage in that it only learns the principles of computing, and the learner cannot experience real problem solving. In this study, a learning program using artificial intelligence robots was developed with the goal of cultivating the ability to solve problems encountered in the real life of elementary school students. Students could solve complex problems in real life from the point of view of artificial intelligence through the developed program, and increase their interest and understanding of artificial intelligence education through robot control.

An Analysis of the Difference of Perception on IT Convergence Learning after the Smart Device based Robot Programming Education According to Elementary Gifted Students' Level (스마트 기기 기반의 로봇 프로그래밍 교육 이후 초등 영재들의 수준에 따른 IT 융합 학습에 대한 인식 차이 분석)

  • In this paper, we propose an smart device based robot programming education program and analyzing students' perceptions such as satisfaction, Expectancy-Value of IT convergence learning after the robot education program according to elementary gifted students' level. Smart device based robot programming education program designed based on schematic of the convergence suggested by WTEC and consist of creative phase, integration/fusion phase, innovation phase, outcome phase for learning practical process of the IT convergence. We are conducting a smart device based robot programming education class to consist of 126 gifted students and analysing the difference of perception. According to analysis of the result, core and advanced students' perception on satisfaction score shows also high. However, advanced level students' satisfaction score shows higher than core students' satisfaction score. Also, advanced level students' expectancy-value score on IT convergence learning shows higher than core students' score.

  • In this paper, the effect of neurofeedback training program on attention ability of ADHD children is studied. The main concept of a neurofeedback training program is a robot control with brain wave. To do this, Mindset(neurosky, ltd) was used as a brain wave measurement and lego NXT was used to a robot kit. The developed brain wave training program has a 12 chapter. Students meet a problem situation and they invent and make a problem solving robot with NXT kits. After that, they control the their own robot by their brain wave. Developed program was applied to 8 student who live in chunan area. To monitor a change of attention ability, attention behavior checklist, K-CBCL, CTRS-R, ADS were used. These checklist were recorded with before and after the program. The result shows that student attention ability is increase after the program in the most of the checklist.

Redesigning of STEAM Learning/Teaching Program for Robot (로봇 STEAM 교수학습 프로그램 제안)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze STEAM learning/teaching program that relates robots and to develop and redesign STEAM teaching/learning program with a robot for elementary and secondary schools. 'Learning with a robot' is considered as one of the best candidates for STEAM education. This article mainly concerns a robot that can be helpful to improve students' interests in learning science and mathematics in schools. As the results of the STEAM learning/teaching program analyzing, the program for elementary schools contained more contents of liberal arts and fine arts, and the program for secondary schools contained more contents of science, technology, and math. In the middle school program, context for learning, class activities of creative design and emotional touch, evaluation, and job and career information were evenly implemented. In the elementary and high school program, there were few information about robotics career. We extracted all robot utilizable subjects and units from school curriculums, and redesigned contents which can be applicable to regular classes for schools. As the result of this study, we conclude that 'learning with a robot' can encourage students' interests in STEM area.

  • With the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, discussions on the use of artificial intelligence are actively taking place in many fields, and various policies for nurturing artificial intelligence talents are being promoted in the field of education. In this study, we propose a robot programming framework using artificial intelligence technology, and based on this, we use Python, which is used frequently in the machine learning field, and an educational robot that is highly utilized in the field of education to provide artificial intelligence. (AI) education program was proposed. The level of autonomous driving (levels 0-5) suggested by the International Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is simplified to four levels, and based on this, the camera attached to the robot recognizes and detects lines (objects). The goal was to make a line detector that can move by itself. The developed program is not a standardized form of solving a given problem by simply using a specific programming language, but has the experience of defining complex and unstructured problems in life autonomously and solving them based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It is meaningful.

  • 초등학생들의 학습에서 학생들이 알고 있는 지식을 이용하여 Project를 해결해가면 그 과정에서 지식이 살아있게 되고 지식이 더 깊어질 것이다. 주입식으로 지식을 알아가기보다 스스로 과제를 해결해가면서 무엇을 알고 무엇을 모르는지 스스로 깨닫고 알아가는 학습이 필요하다. PBL학습은 프로젝트를 해결하기 위해 학생들이 자기주도적으로 이끌어가는 학습이다. Piaget의 인지발달이론에서 구체적조작기에 해당하는 초등학생시기에는 직접 만질 수 있는 학습도구인 교육용로봇이 효과가 있을 것이다. 이에 교육용로봇인 피코크리켓을 활용하여 PBL학습프로그램을 개발하였다.

  • 인간이 하기 힘들거나 번거로운 작업은 지능형 로봇이 대체하고 있다. 하지만 로봇을 개발하기 위해서 설계, 구현 단계에서 실제 로봇을 사용하기 어려워 시뮬레이션 환경이 많이 사용된다. 실제 로봇을 사용할 경우 시간과 비용이 많이 들며 개발에 실패하거나 문제가 생겼을 경우 위험부담이 크다. 그러므로 위험부담을 줄이고 개발기간을 단축하기 위해서 실제 구성될 환경과 동작 환경을 고려한 시뮬레이션 환경이 로봇 제어 프로그램 개발에 많이 사용되고 있다. Pyro는 교육과 개발의 용도로 많이 사용되고 있으며, 로봇에 대한 세부적인 지식이 없더라도 제어 프로그램을 충분히 구현할 수 있어 시뮬레이션 환경으로 적합한 로봇 개발 플랫폼이다. 본 논문에서는 Pyro에 대해서 알아보고 Pyro 플랫폼들을 비교해본다.

  • 초등학교 정보통신기술 교육에서 새롭게 실시되는 프로그래밍 교육을 위해 로봇 프로그래밍에 대한 관심이 어느 때보다 고조되고 있다. 교육용 로봇을 이용한 프로그래밍교육은 학습자가 로봇을 직접 제작하고 프로그램을 작성하여 실행시키는 과정을 통하여 프로그래밍의 원리뿐만 아니라 학습자의 창의력과 문제해결력 신장에도 많은 도움을 준다. 이러한 로봇 프로그래밍 교육을 활성화시키기 위하여 본 연구에서는 초등학교 아동의 발달 수준에 맞게 게임, 가상체험, 시뮬레이션 기법 등을 적용한 학습 지원시스템을 설계하고자 한다. 이를 통하여 학습자는 고가의 비용을 들이지 않고도 기존의 인터넷 환경에서 접근하여 가상의 로봇을 통하여 재미있고 흥미롭게 프로그래밍기법 및 알고리즘에 대해 쉽게 원리를 배울 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 한다.

  • 교구로봇' 교육은 영재교육과 경진대회를 통하여 초등학생과, 학부모, 교사에게 기대와 인식이 매우 보편화 되었다. 또한 창의성과 통섭교육에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라 초등학교 방과후 교실의 로봇교육은 더욱 증가할 것으로 보인다. 그러나 방과후 로봇 교실 운영에 대한 초등현장의 교구로봇 교실 운영 실태조사가 이루어지지 않고 있을 뿐만 아니라 지도교사 양성이나 체계적인 프로그램 운영 관리가 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 초등학교의 방과후 '교구로봇' 교실 운영실태 및 교사의 인식을 조사하여 문제점을 파악하고, 보다 바람직하고 효율적인 방향으로 방과후학교 로봇교실이 정착될 수 있도록 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.
