매생이 에탄올 추출물의 생리기능성과 아질산염 분해능

  • 매생이의 에탄올 추출물의 기능적 특성과 추출액의 플라보노이드와 페놀함량과의 상관성을 검토하고, 아질산염 분해능과 효소의 영향 등을 측정하였다. 매생이 에탄올 추출액의 클로로필 함량은 물추출보다 에탄올 추출의 경우가 높았으나, 플라보노이드 함량은 물추출액에서 약간 높게 나타났다. 추출액의 TPC함량은 TFC함량이 높을수록 높게 나타났으나 직접 비례하지는 않았다. 그리고 매생이에 함유된 아질산염 함량 측정결과와 아질산염 분해능 결파 비교로부터 에탄올 추출의 경우에는 아질산염 분해능이 시료자체의 아질산염 함량과 직접적인 영향이 없는 것으로 보였으며, 매생이 에탄올 추출액이 나타내는 아질산염 분해작용은 낮은 pH에서 높게 나타났으나, 매생이 자체에 존재하는 효소의 관여는 극히 미약하였다.

Decomposition of Monazite Sand (모나자이트의 분해)

  • The purpose of this investigation was to study the sulfuric acid digestion of monazite sand, and to prepare rare-earths-thorium containing material from the resulting solution which would be suitable for further preparation of thorium and rare earth elements by ion-exchange. Digestion of crude monazite sand was treated in $95{\%}C$ sulfuric acid for 2.0 hours at 150∼$250^{\circ}C$. The acid to sand weight ratio were 1 : 1.9∼2.8. Optimum condition was 95% sulfuric acid for 2.0 hours at $200{\pm}5^{\circ}C$. Within this conditions monazite sand was decomposed up to 99%.

계면활성제에 따른 다환방향족탄화수소(PAHs)의 생물학적 분해 양상

  • 유류오염토양의 자연복원 시 생물이용도(bioavailability)를 높이기 위해 사용되는 계면활성제의 영향을 살펴보고자 제지 폐수로부터 분리한 미생물과 5가지 계면활성제를 사용하였다. 계면활성제로는 Brij 35, Brij 30, Triton X-100, Tween 40, Tween 80을 사용하였으며 유류오염물질로는 PAHs를 사용하여 계면활성제 별 미생물의 성장률 및 PAHs 분해율을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 각각의 계면활성제에 따라 서로 다른 미생물 성장 및 PAHs 분해능을 보였다. 계면활성제에 따른 미생물 성장은 Tween 계열에서 뚜렷했으며 이들 중 Tween 40에서는 PAHs의 분해능 또한 가장 활발하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 광촉매 $TiO_2$/p-25를 POF에 코팅하여 IPA 분해 활성을 고찰한 결과, 코팅 시 용매의 조건은 에탄올에서 IPA의 분해효율이 가장 우수하였고 무기바인더(KR-400), 유기바인더(A-9540) 및 무$\cdot$유기 복합바인더(GPTMS, TMOS)중에서 유기 바인더인 A-9540을 사용했을 때 효율이 가장 우수한 것으로 나왔다. 유기 바인더는 광분해반응에 의하여 바인더 자체가 분해되고 무기 바인더는 부착성이 떨어졌다. 유$\cdot$무기 복합 바인더 중에서 광분해 효율이 뛰어난 TMOS를 바인더로 선정하여 TMOS/P-25의 비율을 0.05부터 1로 바꾸어 광분해 실험을 수행한 결과, 바인더로써 TMOS의 첨가는 IPA분해 효율을 낮게 하였다.

  • Biodegradation of dimethyl sulfide (DMS) was studied in a batch culture using Gordonia sihwaniensis PKL-1 isolated from a compost biofilter after 100 days of operation for the removal of volatile organic compounds. Optimal pH and temperature for the removal of DMS were 7 and $25^{\circ}C$, respectively. The Michaelis-Menten kinetic constants for DMS removal, $\upsilon_{max}$ and $K_s$, were 0.0016 mg/(mg-protein)ㆍhr, and 8.05 mg/L, respectively.

  • 한국어에서 복합명사는 명사간 결합이 자유롭고, 단위명사로 띄어쓰는 것을 원칙으로 하나 붙여써도 무방하다. 따라서, 정보검색분야, 기계번역분야에서 복합명사의 정확한 분해는 시스템의 성능에 많은 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 논문에서는 ETRI의 태깅된 코퍼스로부터 추출한 복합명사를 역방향 분해 알고리즘을 이용하여 단위명사로 분해한다. 분해되지 않은 3119개의 복합명사에 대해 실험한 결과 약 96.6%의 정확도를 얻었다. 또한, 미등록어나 접사에 대한 처리에도 비교적 정확한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Optimal conditions of enzymatic hydrolysis for producing anti-inflammatory peptides from sandfish (Arctoscopus japonicus) hydrolysate (도루묵 가수분해물 유래 항염증 펩타이드 제조를 위한 효소 가수분해 최적 조건)

  • In this study, the hydrolysis conditions for the production of anti-inflammatory peptides from meat and roe hydrolysates of sandfish (Arctoscopus japonicus) were determined by measuring the nitric oxide (NO) scavenging enzymatic activity, experimental pH, temperature, enzyme concentration, and hydrolysis time. The optimal conditions determined when using meat hydrolysate were a pH value of 5.0, at a temperature of $30^{\circ}C$, 1% enzyme concentration, and 4 h hydrolysis time. The optimal conditions when using roe hydrolysate were a pH of 5.0, a temperature of $70^{\circ}C$, enzyme concentration of 3%, and hydrolysis time of 3 h. The NO scavenging activities of meat and roe hydrolysate were determined to be 18.94 and 19.81%, respectively. In summary, this study determined the optimum enzymatic hydrolysis conditions for the production of anti-inflammatory peptides from sandfish.

Lignin Degradation of Pine Wood by Unidentified Decay Fungi and Observation by Scanning Electron Microscope (미동정 부후균에 의한 소나무재의 Lignin 분해와 주사전자현미경(SEM)을 이용한 관찰)

  • The lignin degrading fungi were isolated from decayed woods and fruiting bodies gathered in forest area. Lignin degradation ability was investigated by Klason lignin of microbial treated pine wood. Among selected fungi, CJ-6 had 49.48% Klason lignin loss which was greater than 40.58% shown by Trametes versicolor that it is known as a typical lignin degrading fungus. Also, the biodegradation process and morphological features of degraded pine wood by selected fungi were observed with the scanning electron microscope. At the stage of 20 days incubation, mycelia invasion was observed without any failure of wood structure. At 60 days, wood decay was gone in some degree and one part of tracheid and ray wall was destroyed. At 100 days, tracheid wall was severely destroyed, and distinction between ray cell was difficult as cell wall was decayed much.

Isolation and Cultural Characteristics of Styrene Dimer [Endocrine Disrupter] Biodegrading Microorganism (Styrene dimer [환경호르몬 물질] 분해균주의 분리 및 배양특성)

  • We examined the culture conditions and degrading characteristics of styrene dimer (endocrine disrupter) using microorganism. The isolated microbe were consisted of 3 kinds of strain. The strains were identified to Pseudomonas sp. and Klebsiella pneumoniae by API 20E kit, but one was not identified. Single strain was not grown on the C-medium containing styrene dimer. However the complex strain YH3 could grow and we confirmed it by the broth color and O.D$_{660nm}$ (optical density 660 nm). The optimal culture conditions of complex strain YH3 were 35$^{\circ}C$, 1,000 ppm (v/v) of styrene dimer and pH 7.0, respectively. In tolerance test against the organic solvents, the complex strain YH3 could grow above log P=3.1, and could degrade ethyl benzene and 2,4-D, one kind of herbicide. As a result of TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) analysis, we confirmed that the metabolite of styrene dimer was created by YH3 after 5th day, but not at control samples.

Preparation for Calcium and Iron-binding Peptides from Rice Bran Protein Hydrolysates (미강 단백질 가수분해물로부터 Ca, Fe 결합된 peptide 제조)

  • Calcium and iron binding peptides were prepared by enzymatic hydrolysis and ultrafiltration of rice bran protein (RBP), which was isolated from defatted rice bran by phytase and xylanase treatment and ultrasonication. The isolated RBP had a molecular weight in the range of 10-66 kDa. The extracted proteins were hydrolyzed using Flavourzyme for 6 hr. After ultrafiltration under 5 kDa as molecular weight, the peptides were fractionated into 4 peaks by Sephadex G-15 gel permeation chromatography, and each fraction was determined for calcium and iron binding activity. As the result, Fl and F2 fractions were the best candidate for calcium and iron chelation, respectively. These results suggest that the calcium and iron binding peptides can be used as functional food additives in food industry.
