  • 이글은 LDV의 단일실현형 데이터로부터 얻어지는 여러 통계치의 정확한 추정을 위해 기존에 발표된 논문들을 정리함으로써 난류유동장에 대한 실험에서 정밀한 실험값을 얻고자 하는데 목 적을 두었다. LDV로부터 얻어지는 데이터열로부터 추정되는 통계값은 머리말에서 언급되었듯이 다른 여러 가지 편의들에 의해서도 영향을 받는다. 또한 속도 편의의 존재여부에 대해 실험을 근거로 한 논란은 계속되어 왔는데 이는 가우시안 형태의 레이저 빔이 갖는 강도분포에 의해 나타난다고 알려져 있다. 즉, 측정체적을 지나는 산란입자에 대한 광감지기에서 검출되는 산란 광전자는 속도편의와 상반되는 효과를 나타내며 이를 진폭편의(amplitude biss)라 한다. 이 속 도편의와 진폭편의의 상대적인 양은 실험자가 입자 도착 시간간격에 대한 확률분포함수 등을 사용해서 결정해야 한다. 결론적으로 산란입자에 의한 여러 가지 통계 추정량의 편의오차를 줄 이기 위해서는 제편의문제에 대한 이해와 실험치를 바탕으로 한 실험연구인들의 적절한 판단이 필수적이다.

Analysis of Homogenized Laser Beam Display by a Polymeric Stretchable Diffuser (스트레쳐블 폴리머 디퓨저를 이용한 균질 레이저 디스플레이 해석)

  • A stretchable polymeric membrane shaped diffuser was used to homogenize the coherent laser beam. The developed RGB module was used to focus and defocus test by beam combiners. Average oscillation frequency was set at 180Hz~300Hz and it resulted in the best homogenization effect in visual range. The blue laser module turned out to be the worst case for the transmission and primary reason is believed to be the short length of irradiated laser beam. The developed system removed the speckling and the brightness was decreased by 10 ~ 20% for the RGB laser. Overall the brightness was decreased by 13% and homogenity with respect to the temporal axis was improved from 30fs to 110fs.

  • The dark-field laser scattering system has been developed to inspect surface defects in infrared cut-off filters and then laser scattering characteristics against the defects are investigated. The qualitative analysis for the reliable and accurate detection performance is described through the correlation between incident angles of a laser and viewing ones of a camera. In this paper, reliable and important information with laser scattering is given for the surface defect inspection of IR filters. Its performance has been verified through various experiments.

  • The penetration depth and the size distribution of the droplets of fuel sprays are important in the operation of spark-ignition MPI engines. A fluorescence/scattering image technique for droplet sizing was applied to measure th edroplet size distribution in non-evaporating gasoline sprays. The fluorescence and scattering lights were imaged simultaneously by the two-dimensional visualization system composed of a laser sheet, a doubling prism, optical filters, and a CCD camera. Quantitative droplet size distributions were extracted from evaluating the ratio of the two light densities. The mean droplet size measured by the fluorescence/scattering technique was compared with the result obtained by the enlarged photographs of droplets. The fluorescence/scattering image technique also gives the useful information of the characteristics of droplet impingement in a inclined wall.

  • The influences of fluorescence, scattering, and flocculation in turbid material were interpreted for the scattered fluorescence intensity and wavelength, it has been studied the molecular properties by the spectroscopy of laser induced fluorescence(LIF). The effects of optical properties in scattering media have been found by the optical parameters(${\mu}_s$, ${\mu}_a$, ${\mu}_t$). Flocculation is an important step in many solid-liquid separation processes and is widely used in Photodynamic therapy. The interactions of several colloid particles can come into play which have major effect on the flocculation and LIF process. We measured scattering and fluorescence spectra of the sample for in vitro as function of concentration from lase source to detector. The value of scattering coefficient ${\mu}_s$ is large by means of the increasing particles of scatterer. Therefore, Phorphyrin A is larger than Phorphyrin C in scattering intensity ${\mu}_s$, but Phorphyrin A is smaller than Phorphyrin C in penetration depth ${\delta}$.

  • The influences of Methotrexate as fluorophor, scatterer, absorber in turbid material by light scattering were interpreted for the scattered fluorescence intensity and wavelength, it has been studied the molecular properties by laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy. It has been found that the effects of optical properties in scattering media by the optical parameters((${\mu}_s$, ${\mu}_a$, ${\mu}_t$). The value of scattering coefficient ${\mu}_s$ is large by means of the increasing particles of L-${\alpha}$-Phosphatidylcholine, it has been found that the slope decays exponentially as a function of depth from laser source to detector. It may also aid in designing the best model for oil chemistry, laser medicine and application of medical engineering.

  • Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) which a plasma is irradiated at a specific wavelength depending on the material when a high-energy laser is irradiated, and a Raman spectroscopy which measures rotation and vibration in molecules as light-scattering phenomenon occurs, are attracting attention as a space exploration technology because of the advantages of high accuracy and real-time analysis, and the ability to perform long-range detection. In this study, the tendency of the laser spectrum according to the change of the soil component was analyzed by laser spectroscopy and the two - dimensional chemical distribution was conducted based on the trend of laser spectrum. We have also established the environment of Mars (4-7 torr) and lunar atmosphere (<1 torr) in experimental setup, to prove that it is possible to measure by difference of soil chemical composition using LIBS and Raman spectroscopy even in artificial space environment.
