The game has been rapidly evolving through various media such as computer, console game machine, cellular phone and PMP based on the advanced development of scientific technology. In terms of demand, the interest in and desire to consume the game as a way of spending people's spare time have been on the increase constantly while the level of income has been improved. Eventually, the game has gradually expanded its scope of supply and demand, has established its own status as one of the media that is scientifically-intensive and has been developed into a game industry, a large-scale industry. Unlike image media, the methods of exposure in PPL are varied in accordance with the genre of games. This study divides the causes that have influence over the effect of PPL in the game into the genre of game and the skill of gamer. The results of the experiment on how much the aforementioned two elements have influence over the effect of PPL are as in the following: It has been demonstrated that the effect of PPL could appear different according to the genre of game and the skill of gamer on the game. Besides, the genre of game that is dynamic in its screen change in the game has relatively lower effect of PPL than that is not dynamic. Meanwhile, the persons who are highly skilled in the game have higher degree of recognition and preference to the inserted PPL than those who are lowly skilled. In this regard, it has given us a theoretical ground that the fees system for PPL ads should be established variously in accordance with the genre of game and the level of online game users.

Reinforcement learning is a well-known method for training an artificial software agent for a video game. Even though many reinforcement learning algorithms have been proposed, their performance was varies depending on an application area. This paper compares the performance of the algorithms when we train our reinforcement learning agent for a 2D racing game. We defined performance metrics to analyze the results and plotted them into various graphs. As a result, we found ACER (Actor Critic with Experience Replay) achieved the best rewards than other algorithms. There was 157% gap between ACER and the worst algorithm.
This paper presents an interactive wind system that generates artificial winds in a virtual reality (VR) environment according to online user inputs from a steering wheel and an acceleration pedal. Our system is composed of a head-mounted display (HMD) and three electric fans to make the user sense touch from the winds blowing from three different directions in a racing car VR application. To evaluate the effectiveness of the winds for reducing VR cybersickness, we employ the simulator sickness questionnaire (SSQ), which is one of the most common measures for cybersickness. We conducted experiments on 13 subjects for the racing car contents first with the winds and then without them or vice versa. Our results showed that the VR contents with the artificial winds clearly reduce cybersickness while providing a positive user experience.
In this paper, we suggest a haptic mouse system as an immersive interface between virtual environment and a human operator. The proposed haptic mouse creates vibrotacitle and thermal sensation to increase the immersion. The vibrotactile module is composed of eccentric motors and a solenoid actuator, and the thermal module consists of a thin-film resistance temperature detector and a Peltier thermoelectric heat pump. In order to evaluate the proposed haptic mouse system, we develop a simple racing game and conduct an experiment. The result of the experiment shows that the proposed haptic mouse system can improve the sense of reality in virtual environment and can be used as an effective interface between virtual environment and a human operator.

Conventional TSPC D flip-flop has the advantages of high speed, simple clock distribution, and no racing because of the single phase clocking strategy and its simple structure. But, it suffers from glitch, clock slope sensitivity and unbalanced propagation delay problems. Therefore, a new dynamic D flip-flop, which improves these disadvantages, is proposed. The main idea of this paper is DS(Discharge Suppression) scheme, which suppresses unnecessary discharge. As a result, the proposed structure is free from glitch problem and it improves maximum clock slope immunity from 0.25ns to Ins. Also, it uses only 8 transistors and it Is demonstrated that high speed operation is feasible by balancing propagation delay time.

In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a 12m plate girder railway bridge is analyzed using the commercial FEM program. A time history load is applied to a standard train load via the shape function ofthe beam element. In addition, lateral behavior characteristics were simulated using the Klingel sine movement. A feasibility study of the FEM program and an analysis were performed by comparing the displacement and the acceleration, from the experimental data and the results of the FEM analysis. the time history of the lateral and vertical displacements are reflected in the experimental results. Six kinds of reinforcements were studied from the effects of the displacement and the acceleration. The RF-1 model that was applied to the upper lateral bracing system, and the RF-3 model that reinforced the plate, turned out to be the most effective reinforcement methods with respect to weight limits and construction simplification.
Recently the construction of simulation environment is an important issue in all fields. In case of the training for operating machines such as airplanes or spaceships which cause a huge cost, simulators could be helpful to reduce the costs and training efforts by simulating real situations. When people get a driver's license, too many trainees have to wait for their turns because of the limited number of cars and the small space of training sites. To solve this problem, we have designed and developed the basic design for the simulators. We suggest the Computer 3D Simulation Model for a driver's practice. The concept of this simulator is from a 3D Racing-game which suits for a driving exercise. We provide users with handle-controlled simulation settings to let users feel reality as if they drive in real through this simulator. We also use a 'force-feedback' system which gives handle vibration when users collide against obstacles or exceed lanes. Users can be absorbed in the simulation program and feel the sense of the real. This paper is the study about modeling the driving exercise model of 'computer 3D simulation', and producing and utilizing the simulator through this modeling.

This paper presents numerical analysis results for the lateral-torsional buckling (LTB) strength of steel I-girder bridges. Current Korean and AASHTO design specifications for LTB consider the buckling strength of a single girder with both its ends constrained. The I-girder bridges are composed of more than one girder, and the girders are interconnected with intermediate cross-beams or cross-frames. Therefore, it should be required to evaluate the effects of cross-beam stiffness and the interactionof girders on LTB strength. It is also necessary to consider the effects of transverse web stiffeners on LTB strength. By considering these parameters, a series of four-girder systemswere numerically modeled using 3D shell elements to estimate the LTB strength while considering initial imperfections and residual stresses.
After the introduction stage, Korean mobile game market is approaching to the growing stage leading mobile contents market. The environment for the mobile contents business is getting better by the expansion of the 3G mobile networks and the enhancement of the mobile devices. In this research, at a content level, not a service level, market success factors of mobile games and the differences by genres and their changes over time were investigated through the analysis of the real market data of mobile games launched by a Korean mobile carrier. The most important factors for market success, especially for the genres of RPG/Tycoon/Simulation and Shooting/Action/Arcade, were found to be the 'design' factor and its effect turned to be getting stronger as time goes by after the launch. Consumers' purchase rate was actually higher for the mobile games of popular genres or in relation with socially popular subject matters. Also 'design' and 'creativity' factors which are related to the quality of contents, have gotten more important over time. One of the most interesting results was that there existed a "blue ocean" genres like Sports/Racing/Leisure which had a steady demand but not many competing games. In the analysis of the 'convenience' factor, one interesting implication for mobile game producers was that there exists a trade off between the ease of initial adoption and the steady sales of a mobile game.

In this paper, we propose technologies for enhancing the immersive realization of virtual objects in AR-based product design. Generally, multimodal senses such as visual/auditory/tactile feedback are well known as a method for enhancing the immersion in case of interaction with virtual objects. By adapting tangible objects we can provide touch sensation to users. A 3D model of the same scale overlays the whole area of the tangible object so the marker area is invisible. This contributes to enhancing immersion. Also, the hand occlusion problem when the virtual objects overlay the user's hands is partially solved, providing more immersive and natural images to users. Finally, multimodal feedback also creates better immersion. In our work, both vibrotactile feedback through page motors, pneumatic tactile feedback, and sound feedback are considered. In our scenario, a game-phone model is selected, by way of proposed augmented vibrotactile feedback, hands occlusion-reduced visual effects and sound feedback are provided to users. These proposed methodologies will contribute to a better immersive realization of the conventional AR system.
