Study on Film Music for and (영화 <메리 포핀스>와 <메리 포핀스 리턴즈> 영화음악 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characters and narratives of series films and to extract corresponding elements of film music to compare and analyze how musical elements were utilized. The scope of the study was analyzing the story structure and characters of the films "Mary Poppins" and "Mary Poppins Returns" and the corresponding film music. After comparing the contents of the film "Mary Poppins" and "Mary Poppins Returns," the film matched the film music equivalent to the similar scenes of the two films. As a result, seven of the 11 songs of "Mary Poppins" overlap with those used in similar narratives of "Mary Poppins Returns", and eight songs overlap in "Mary Poppins Returns". Seven songs from "Mary Poppins" and eight songs from "Mary Poppins Returns" can be divided into nine scenes in total when connected to a common narrative. Among them, "A Spoonful of Sugar" from "Mary Poppins", "Jolly Holiday", "A cover is not the Book" from "Mary Poppins Returns" and "Triple light fantastic" were overlapping songs with narratives. Based on this, it analyzes leitmotiv film music, focusing on characters from the films "Mary Poppins" and "Mary Poppins Returns." The common leitmotivs in the two films are Mary Poppins leitmotiv, Lesson leitmotiv, Lullaby leitmotiv, World leitmotiv, Chimney Sweeper leitmotiv, Up & Down leitmotiv, Chimney Sweeper leitmotiv, and Sky leitmotiv. The characteristic rhythm and pitch used in Mary Poppins leitmotivs were used in the overall song featuring Mary Poppins. Through this, the elements of music symbolizing Mary Poppins, a key figure, were matched to the films "Mary Poppins" and "Mary Poppins Returns" and modified according to the narrative flow. The analysis results of this work have theoretical significance in that it is necessary to analyze the narratives and film music of series films to discover common features and consider how they are matched in theoretical terms.

  • 영화는 시청각 예술이고 다양한 시청각적 기법을 활용하여 영화에서 이야기하고자 하는 주제를 전달한다. 형체가 없는 이야기는 시각과 청각을 통해 형상화되고 그 과정에서 나타나는 등장인물의 심리변화 역시 시청각적 도구를 활용해 표현할 수 있다. 본고에서는 영화 "펀치 드렁크 러브"를 연구대상으로 삼아 영화에서 숨겨진 심리를 표현하기 위한 음악적 기법 중 하나인 라이트모티브(Leitmotiv)를 통한 표현기법을 고찰한다. 이는 영화음악에서 인물 심리의 상징적인 표현에 대한 예시와 관점을 제시한다.

Preservation and Practical Application of Stromatolites in Gyeong-San (경산 스트로마톨라이트의 보존과 활용방안)

  • Researching Stromatolites spread all over Gyeong-San, province Gyeongsangbukdo, it raise an objection for preservation of original state caused by natural weathering, artificial destruction, illegal emission and enviromental pollution. Stromatolites in Gyeong-San was formed on lake Meszoic era cretaceous. So it is representative rock of geological feature of sediment formed in water and landscape. It could be used as educational data on mesozoic stratum and earth surface, and resources of observation and experience program. It could apply as educational venue place in terms of Mesozoic era cretaceous motif. And it is managed various programs appling 4H (Healing, Hiking, Hand, History) experience program based on local community. And it is concerned software program introducing augumented reality, furthermore discuss with related field.

  • This is a study on the roles in the association of sound as subtext for animation. On this study, it will be helpful to develop sound concepts and to create animations with creativity. For animation without sound can be produced as an artistic purpose, however, most animations are created with sound. It is not means that sound is less important than visual in animations. Sound is also one of significant element to create animations. Sound have many important rolls for subtext such as parts of action, leitmotif, characteristic, time, ethnic, localization in the animations. It will be analyzed two animations such as Shrek (DreamWorks Pictures production/ Director: Andrew Adams) and Monsters Inc. (Walt Disney Pictures/ Director: Peter Doctor).

  • The film is an audiovisual art and conveys stories using various audiovisual techniques. Among the auditory elements, music has a wide variety of expressive techniques, a wide range of applications, and is sometimes used as a proprietary tool to convey stories. This study examines the musical expression technique for expressing the psychology of the character in the film by using the movie "Punch Drunk Love" as a subject of study. We study the use of music used to reveal meaning that does not appear on the screen in the film story flow, which is a tool to create the hidden meaning of the person's inner psychology and situation. This provides an example and perspective of the contrast and symbolic expression of character psychology in film music.

  • 21C digital culture is now affecting the life of arts and development through our system, as well as body arts and body painting. Body painting is not has been focused through our lives in 21stcentury as one genre. UV body painting is from short to long wave length that demonstrates to us the dimension by science and lighting showing more than 8 colors that are better off being set. From this research the theory of body painting considerate characteristics and vision for it. From the researchers line, dots, and side shows the UV body painting as a one piece of art and analyzing the 3D theory and once again showing vision through what it's affecting to their result.' UV body painting is usage of floral paints and using so called 'black light' that shows the short and long term wavelength that provides the 3D material, but first, this is different from normal body painting like dots, like, and layers shows more thoroughly and shows focused motive and you can easily tell the difference. As of all UV body painting is showing more 3D vision more than the design itself. From all this research, to all the body painters we await the future practical theory to be used and for the better future.
