Normally, a distributed computing environment is flexible in controlling complex embedded systems but their software components are becoming complex as these systems are equipped with several platforms and attached to various electronic devices, sensors, and actuators. These systems requires inter-object communication mechanisms to provide fault tolerant and QoS-enabled middleware service support in a distributed system. Generally, a middleware performs analysis of the parameters to ensure the availability and reliability of data dissemination. This paper focuses in particular to designing an application middleware for the specific scenario to improve the high availability and fault tolerance of data thus improving the QoS (Quality of Service) of a distributed system. The performance of an adaptive and highly reliable middleware can be significant based on the selection of vital parameters of the system.

In the midst of rapid cultural and artistic changes with the turn of the century, postmodernism is exerting great influence on the value and trends of arts. many artists are making utmost efforts in order to overcome ambiguity and confusion caused by these changes. Analysis of the works and philosophy of prominent fashion designers provides insight into the influence of postmodernism to the creation of modern arts including fashion. This paper attempts to explore how pluralism, one o the most important features of postmodernism, has given impacted to the modern fashion design. fashion trend and works of Paco Rabanne were reviewed with particular emphasis on pluralistic expressions in his fashion creation. it was found that Paco Rabanne's diversified and innovative use of materials and design methods were possible due to the influence of pluralism. It is anticipated that this trend will e observed in the various forms of arts wit the further analysis of fashion designers and artists.

SCADA control systems and protocols are developed based on reliability, availability, and speed but with no or little attention paid to security. Specifically in Modbus protocol, there are inherent security vulnerabilities in their design. The lack of common security mechanisms in the protocol such as authentication, confidentiality and integrity must be addressed. In this paper, security vulnerabilities of Modbus-based SCADA controls systems will be studied. An in-depth analysis of the message frame formats being sent between master and slave will be discussed to expose the security vulnerabilities. This will enable SCADA users to find ways to fix the security flaws of the protocol and design mitigation strategies to reduce the impact of the possible attacks. Security mechanisms are recommended to further enhance the security of SCADA control systems.

Paco Rabanne, who has created experimental and prophetic avant-garde fashion by cutting edge techniques and revolutionary new materials, is known as one of the most influential fashion designer of modern times. The purpose of this study is to analyze the various factors, including some major artistic movements, which influenced on the formative characteristics of Paco Rabanne\`s fashion design. First, Paco Rabanne\`s fantastic new materials is also influenced by his study in architecture and his own fantasies -which other people can hardly imagine- during his early childhood. Second, light one of the most important element in Paco Ranbanne\`s fashion design, shows some influence of medieval symbols of love and salvation. Third, the artistic trends which influenced on Paco Rabanne\`s fashion include surrealism, opart, and kinetic art. His use of new materials and avant -garde style represents the influence of surrealism. his experimental use of waving plastics and glittering metal during his early period is especially related with opart and kinetic art in the early 1960s which emphasize the artistic effect of light and movement. Fourth, the geometrical figures like triangles, rectangles, and circles represent the influence of Egyptian architecture like pyramids and the geometrical characteristics of Eguptian art. Fifth, Paco Rabanne\`s distinctive use of metal chains in his fashion shows the influence of the chain mail hauberk, the medieval knightly armour. By using the medieval material Paco Rabanne properly expressed the modern person\`s pain and suffering. Sixth, the ethnic elements of Egypt, Africa, Spain, and Japan reflect the experience in his former lives he insists he lived. The ethnic elements of his dresses emphasize the natural vitality and inheritance from the past.

본 연구에서는 긴 춤 시퀀스를 춤 세그먼트들로 분절하는 방법과 이 춤 세그먼트들의 자연스러운 연결을 위한 전이 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 분절화(segmentation) 방법은 라반 운동 분석(LMA)을 기반으로 한다. 춤 세그먼트 안에서 춤추는 캐릭터 외형의 변화가 일정한 패턴을 이루며 발생하는 것에 착안하여, 패턴이 변화되는 구간에서 춤 세그먼트의 경계를 찾는다. 이 방법은 춤 시퀀스에서 얻어낸 LMA의 외형 곡선에서 키 자세(key pose)를 찾고, 나타나는 패턴을 분석하여 수행된다. 제안하는 전이(transition) 방법은 춤과 같이 유사도가 낮은 모션을 대상으로 하고 있다. 이 방법은 선형 보간 방법을 기본으로 이용하고, 발에 발생하는 제약사항을 만족하도록 중간 자세를 생성하고, 전이 구간 중간의 키 프레임으로 사용하여 전이를 완성한다. 우리가 제안하는 방법들은 기존의 춤 모션 데이타를 사용한 새로운 춤 시퀀스 합성에 활용이 가능하다.

본 연구는 애니메이션 액팅에서 가장 중요한 과장 연기의 요소를 구성하는 제스처를 고찰하는 작업을 통해 애니메이션의 액팅이 획일화하는 데서 벗어날 것을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 애니메이션 12원칙과 라반의 에포트 이론을 활용 한다. 무성 코미디 영화와 기준이 되는 2D와 3D 애니메이션의 제스처 표현을 각각 분석 하며 둘의 공통점과 차이점을 도출 한다. 다음으로 무성 코미디 영화의 액팅을 애니메이션에 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지 그 가능성을 모색해 보았다. 찰리 채플린과 버스터 키튼은 초기 애니메이션에서 액팅의 주요한 참고요소가 됐으나, 최근 애니메이션 기술이 발전함에 따라 중요하게 다루지 않고 있다. 그러나 3D 애니메이션이 주를 이루면서 점차 액팅, 역동성과 연기가 차지하는 역할이 더 중요시됨에 따라 찰리 채플린과 버스터 키튼의 제스처 연기에 대한 좀 더 깊이 있는 재조명이 이루어질 필요성이 대두되고 있다.

본 연구는 Laban이 제시한 모션 분석 기법을 이용하여 모션의 긴장도를 측정하는 방법을 제안한다. 이러한 긴장도 값을 이용하면 캐릭터 모션과 배경음악간의 자동적 동기화를 위한 기준값으로 사용할 수 있다. Laban의 모션 분석 기법, 즉 LMA는 모션을 Effort라고 명명된 4개의 시공간적 요소로 나누고 각 4개의 Effort마다 2가지 상반된 기준을 제시함으로써 모션을 분석하도록 하였다. 이러한 기준을 양적으로 측정하기 위해 우리는 운동학, 역학에 기초한 수식을 제안하고 이를 통해서 계산된 실제 긴장도 값을 실험 데이타에 근거하여 조정하였다. 실험을 통해 제안한 긴장도 측정 결과는 어느 정도 사람의 반응과 비슷한 정도의 순위 판별 능력을 보였다.

새로운 텍스트 입력으로부터 제스처를 생성하는 것은 컴퓨터 게임, 가상현실 등의 응용분야에서 종종 요구되는 중요한 문제이다. 최근에는 유명 아나운서와 같은 특정인의 제스처를 모방하는 제스처 스타일화에 관한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 기쁨이나 슬픔과 같은 감정을 이용하여 제스처를 스타일화하려는 시도는 많지 않다. 또한 이전의 연구는 대부분 실시간 알고리즘에 초점을 맞추고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 SMS 문장을 캐릭터 얼굴 표정과 제스처 애니메이션으로 자동 변환하고 감정 요소를 이용하여 제스처를 스타일화하는 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템의 가장 큰 특징은 제스처에 희로애락의 감정을 결합하는 실시간 알고리즘을 제시하는데 있다. 모바일 단말기를 플랫폼으로 하기 때문에 서버와 단말기에 작업을 적절하게 분배하고 초당 20프레임 이상의 실시간 수행을 보장한다. 먼저, 디즈니 영상에서 감정을 표현하는 단어와 이에 해당하는 제스처를 추출하고 통계적으로 모델링 한 후, 감정과 제스처의 결합을 위하여 Laban의 움직임 이론을 도입한다. 제안된 시스템의 타당성과 기존 서비스와의 대체 적정도를 알아보기 위해서 사용자 반응을 조사 분석한다.

달구벌 북춤은 영남지역의 전통 북춤의 전형에 기반하여 지역적 상징성과 전승자 황보영의 춤철학과 사상, 예술적 감각을 가미해 현대적 형태로 계승되고 있는 춤이다. 이 춤은 전통춤의 주요한 요소들과 예술성을 장점으로 대구, 영남지역뿐만 아니라 국내외 여러 무대에 초청받아 활동을 이어오며 전통문화의 변용을 통한 대중적 가능성을 보인다. 본 연구는 이러한 달구벌 북춤의 움직임 특질이 무엇인지를 분석하여 이 춤이 지닌 독특한 매력과 상징적 의미를 고찰하였다. 구체적 분석은 제89회 한국의 명인 명무전의 달구벌 북춤의 영상을 대상으로 라반의 움직임 분석법(Laban Movement Analysis)을 적용해 진행하였다. LMA의 4가지 주요한 카테고리-신체, 에포트, 형태, 공간-를 중심으로 살펴본 달구벌 북춤은 군더더기나 지나친 화려함 없이 담백한 움직임과 강렬하지만 단순하고 경쾌하며 큰 산맥으로 둘러싸인 대구지역의 사람들의 호방한 기질이자 문화적 특성을 형상화하고 있다. 강하게 북을 쳐 소리를 만들고, 그 음악적 행위가 다채로운 춤으로 발전되어 형성되는 북소리와 춤사위의 멋드러진 조화는 악(樂)과 무(舞)의 일치를 통한 활달한 한국적 풍류, 멋과 흥, 신명이 무엇인지를 보여준다. 특히 프로시니엄 무대를 고려하여 구성된 춤사위 그리고 북놀음의 모습은 3차원 공간의 입체 구조를 활용한 조형미와 인간의 몸짓을 드러내는 문화적 상징성을 드러낸다. 또한, 사상적으로 삼수분화(三數分化), 천지인(天地人) 합일사상(合一思想)과 음(陰) 양(陽)의 조화가 깃든 짜임새 있는 구조와 정(靜), 중(中), 동(動)의 조화로운 움직임 표현을 보인다. 인간사의 갈등과 모순, 대립에서 벗어나 신명으로 소통하고 공동체의 화합을 희망하는 주제를 담고 있는 이 춤은 한국춤의 독특한 가치와 고유한 특성을 바탕으로 한국의 전통 철학과 동양 사상의 의미성을 현대적 재해석한 작품으로 해석이 가능하다.
