  • 1990년대 말 본격화된 인터넷 서비스는 일반 개인들의 라이프스타일은 물론 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화적 측면에서 많은 변화를 야기시켰을 뿐만 아니라 텔레비전의 출현만큼이나 우리 생활양식을 크게 변화시켜 왔다. 나아가 통신망의 광대역화 및 방송의 디지털화에 따라 One phone, VoIP, WiBro, HSDPA, DMB, IPTV 등 유. 무선 통합, 음성. 데이터 통합 및 통신. 방송 융합이 발현되는 신규 서비스들이 속속 선보이면서 서비스, 사업자, 단말기 등이 융합되는 컨버전스 패러다임이 본격화되고 있는 양상이다. 이중 인터넷과 TV가 만나는 IPTV는 통신과 방송이라는 이종산업간의 대표적 융합서비스로서 VoIP, 초고속인터넷, TV 서비스를 동시에 제공하려는 통신사업자들의 TPS 사업전략의 일환으로 현재 전세계 280여 개 이상의 사업자에 의해 추진되고 있다. 이에최근 급부상하고 있는 IPTV 서비스에 관한 개념, 발전과정, 기술 배경, 국내. 외 사업자 추진 현황 및 향후 시장전망을 살펴봄으로써 IPTV 서비스의 발전가능성을 가늠해보고자 한다.

  • RS(Reed-Solomon)부호는 오류 정정을 위한 채널 코딩기법중의 하나로 특히 연집 오류에 대해 강한 특성을 갖고 있으며, CD-P(Compact Disc Player), DAT(Digital Audio Tape). VTR, DVD(Digital Video Disc), 디지탈 TV 디코더등에서 사용되고 있다. 본 논문은 Galois Field, GF[$2^8$]상에서 (204. 188. 8)의 규격을 갖는 디지탈 TV용 RS 복호기의 구현에 관한 연구로 8개의 심볼 오류까지 정정 가능하다. 오증 계산은 16개의 오증 계산셀로 구성되어 지며, 오류 위치 다항식을 계산하는데 있어서는 Berlekamp-Massey 알고리즘을 사용한다. VHDL로 설계되어 Synopsys를 이용하여 검증 및 합성하였다.

  • 이 논문은 디지털 TV 송신기의 구성 시스템 중 하나인 HPA 서브시스템(이하 HPA 시스템이라고 함)을 구현하는 구현 기술에 대하여 기술한다. HPA 시스템은 레벨 제어부, HPA 모듈, 고출력 결합기, 여파기, HPA 감시, 경보 및 제어 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 이를 구현하기 위해서 전력레벨을 설계하고, 각 레벨에 맞는 4Wpeak, 30Wpeak, 125Wpeak 단위 증폭기를 설계, 제작 시험하였으며, 이들 단위 증폭기를 전력 분배기/결합기를 이용하여 결합하여 600Wpeak급 HPA 모듈을 제작하였다. 자체 제작한 HPA 모듈과 상용 부품을 이용하여 HPA 서브시스템을 구성하였으며, 현장시험을 통하여 그 성능을 입증하였다. 개발한 HPA 시스템은 동작주파수 470MHz-510MHz, 최대출력 1.6kWpeak, 이득 60dB 이상, 채널내 이득 평탄도 0.6dB 이하, 입력 반사손실 -l8dB이하이며, IMD는 3dB back-off시 -35dB이하이다

  • In the age of digital culture, TV broadcasting is exercising more influence as a information and communication medium compared to past. With the appearance of satellite broadcasting service in 2002, the broadcasting environment became a diversified field of local TV, cable TV, satellite, internet, etc. and created the time of multi-media and multi-channel. This ongoing change of broadcasting environment made the passive audience of the past, active image makers and new accepters, participants and users of communications, who know how to choose and use media as the active centerpiece, The active acceptor as the centerpiece of channel selections has become the center of the broadcasting, whereby they pick up and enjoy their favorite TV programs and came to remember the list of their favorite channels and zap them finally. In this point of spotting their favorite channels and improving the degree of recognition for the channels, the development of the noticeable brand for a particular program has made a great contribution. The aim of this study, therefore, is to recognize the factors, which are important in the habits of watching TV and to develop professional brands for TV broadcasting programs. The range of the survey for this study was home news programs and broadcasting stations abroad, which were on air from March to May in 2004. The focus of the survey was universal and professional news programs. Through this study, it was ascertained that, in the case of news, developing a brand for an anchor as well as for a professional brand of TV program could be an important element.

A Study on the Cognitive Differences and Issue Factors of Terrestrial Broadcasters on Transmission System Determinants of Digital Radio Broadcasting (디지털 지상파 라디오 방송의 전송방식 결정요인에 관한 지상파 방송사의 인식차이와 쟁점 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Though the digital transition of terrestrial TV has been completed, the transmission system for terrestrial radio has not been determined and terrestrial radio still keeps its analog transmission. This study, under coorientation model, aims to explore the cognitive difference in recognizing important factors to be considered in deciding the digital radio transmission system between the employees of terrestrial broadcasters and then crucial issues related to the factors are driven. It has been found that the most big cognitive difference among the employees of three major terrestrial broadcasters lies in selecting frequency band for digital radio transmission. But there was little difference of opinion on simultaneous production-transmission, efficiency of frequency usage, broadcast quality and standards of service. The most disputable point in transition to digital radio broadcasting is selecting the frequency band for digital radio between the frequency bands used for FM radio broadcast (88-108MHz), terrestrial DMB (VHF Ch7~13) and FM radio adjacent broadcast band (76~88MHz: VHF Ch5~6). So, the question concludes into the selection issue between DAB+, HD-Radio, and DRM+. To improve the quality of radio broadcasting service and enhance the satisfaction of listeners, it is desirable to allow to operate both production system and transmission station, to enhance high transmission efficiency with minimum transmission facility, and to permit new entrance of broadcasters.

Characterization of Electrical Crosstalk in 1.25 Gbps Optoelectrical Triplex Transceiver Module for Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (이더넷 광 네트워크 구현을 위한 1.25 Gbps 광전 트라이플렉스 트랜시버 모듈의 전기적 혼신의 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyzed and measured the electrical crosstalk characteristics of a triplex transceiver module for ethernet Passive optical networks(EPONS). And we improved the electrical crosstalk levels using Dummy ground lines with signal lines. The triplex transceiver module consists of a laser diode as a transmitter, a digital photodetector as a digital data receiver, and a analog photodetector as a community antenna television signal receiver. And there are integrated on silicon substrate. The digital receiver and analog receiver sensitivity have to meet -24 dBm at $BER=10^{-l2}$ and -7.7 dBm at 44 dB SNR. And the electrical crosstalk levels have to maintain less than -86 dB from DC to 3 GHz. From analysis and measurement results, the proposed silicon substrate structure that contains the Dummy ground line with $100\;{\mu}m$ space from signal lines and separates 4 mm among devices respectively, is satisfied the electrical crosstalk level compared to simple structure. This proposed structure can be easily implemented with design convenience and greatly reduced the silicon substrate size about $50\%$.

  • Channel of distribution of contents of digitalised multimedia contents is changing in form passed directly to consumer from manufacturer through digital network of high speed. Together, diffusion of various digital equipment that do is changing Past multimedia consumption structure with the wonderful speed so that can consume easily digital contents. Specially, Multimedia Personal Computer and fast diffusion of a digital television are acting role such as catalyst that promote easy purchase and consumption of multimedia contents of good qualify. However, this system is no method that can sell digital contents and express right that original owner for the contents can insist nothing but consume. Because consumer can distribute to another person copying contents that buy because of and user can distribute producing ashes again according to necessary field by oneself as well as, can lose meaning for original contents. In this paper, Text editing system for XrML (extensible Rights Markup Language) that describe about integrity of message and entity authentication in addition to necessary rights, fees, condition etc. and this to do fetters XML (eXtensible Markup Language) for copyright protection for digital contents in treatise that see hereupon and use digital contents design and embody.

  • Learning how to express and express the characteristics of acting expressions required by different media is easy to express the acting required in various mediums. The style of acting required by each medium is different depending on the characteristics of the medium. In particular, digital acting using computer graphics technology expresses actors as if they are in the space by imagining the imaginary space. Through computer graphics post-production, the actual space that will be visible on the final screen is completed and creates a story based on the actual situation. The role of digital actors in applying motion capture to movies is becoming increasingly important. Natural cross-reaction acting between live-action actors and digital character actors has become a trend in animation films where only digital actors appear. In animation films, a real actor plays a major role in connecting the characters of a digital actor. The core of a digital actor is the realization of a unique character performance. In the era of trans-media, the importance of digital acting is increasing day by day.

  • 본 논문에서는 PC 환경에서 지상파 디지털 멀티미디어 방송(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, DMB)을 수신할 수 있는 PC 기반 지상파 DMB 수신기용 백엔드 시스템 개발에 대해 서술한다. 지상파 DMB는 기존의 지상파 아날로그 또는 디지털 TV에 비해 탁월한 이동 수신 성능을 보인다. 본 논문에서는 국내 지상파 DMB 표준안에 부합하는 수신기의 백엔드 (back-end)를 PC 환경에서 소프트웨어로 구현하였다. 지상파 DMB는 유럽의 디지털 오디오 방송(Digital Audio Broadcasting, DAB) 표준인 EUREKA-147을 기반으로 MPEG-4 표준에 의한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공한다. 지상파 DMB의 멀티미디어 서비스는 MPEG-4 AVC(Advance Video Coding) 압축 비디오와 BSAC(Bit Slice Arithmetic Coding) 압축 오디오를 MPEG-4 시스템의 SL(Sync Layer) 표준으로 패킷화 후 MPEG-2 TS(Transport Stream)에 실어 DAB의 스티림 모드를 통해 전송하는 방식을 사용한다. 본 논문에서는, 지상파 DMB 수신을 위한 프론트엔드(front-end)는 외장형 기기를 이용하고, 이로부터 USB 인터페이스를 통해 기저대역 다중화 스트림을 PC 상으로 업로드한 뒤, 소프트웨어에 의해 역다중화하고 압축을 푼 후, 오디오와 비디오를 재생하는 지상파 DMB 백엔드 시스템을 구현하고 이를 검증하였다.

An Overhead Comparison of MMT and MPEG-2 TS in Broadcast Services (방송 서비스에서 MMT와 MPEG-2 TS의 오버헤드 비교)

  • This paper compares the transport overhead of MMT (MPEG Media Transport) with that of MPEG-2 TS (Transport Stream). MPEG-2 TS is globally used in multiplexing compressed audio and video data in digital broadcast industry, including areas of DTV (Digital Television), IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), and DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting). It was the early 1990s when MPEG-2 TS standard was established. After more than two decades of years since its first establishment, many parts of MPEG-2 TS turned out to be inappropriate to today's broadcast and communication environment. Given the situations, in 2014 MPEG (ISO/IEC JTC 1 SC 29/WG 11) standardized MMT as the next-generation multimedia transport standard hopefully that can replace MPEG-2 TS. In this paper, with assumptions of broadcast service scenarios we applied both MMT and MPEG-2 TS to each scenario and we calculated their transport overheads. We used a software program that counts the transport overhead, which was developed in our laboratory for this paper. And we conducted a comparative analysis based on the calculated result of transport overhead.
