  • The Healthcare supply chain management has recently attracted attention as a critical tool to improve service quality and reduce healthcare operational cost. Improving large hospital supply chain performance has become increasingly important as healthcare organizations strive to improve the service quality, while reducing the ever-increasing healthcare cost. This paper explores the strategic areas where the traditional supply chain management may enhance the overall performance of the large hospitals. Based on the literature review and relevant case analysis, this paper argues that the visibility, information sharing and standardization are the critical factors for deploying the supply chain principles, and also proposes the supply chain framework for efficient planning and execution, the use of RFID-enabled system for the end-to-end traceability of medical products, and cross-docking system for minimizing the inventory level in the hospital supply chain. Implications of the study findings are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to explain users' wearable healthcare device adoption using performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating condition, hedonic motivation and price value of UTAUT2, and to identify the causal relationship between intention to use wearable healthcare device and innovativeness. The research model proposed in this study is based on UTAUT2(Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology). In specific, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating condition, hedonic motivation and price value of UTAUT2 and innovativeness are adopted in our research model. To validate the research model, we carry out the analysis of the survey data using Smart PLS 3.0 to test the hypotheses. According to the empirical analysis results, this study confirms that Innovativeness have significant effects on the performance expectancy, effort expectancy, Facilitating condition, Hedonic motivation, and price Value of wearable healthcare devices. It also finds that the performance expectancy, effort expectancy, Facilitating condition, hedonic motivation, and price value affects the intention to use wearable healthcare devices.

  • High blood pressure is main today's adult disease and existing blood pressure gauge is not possible for real-time blood pressure measurement and remote monitoring. But real-time blood pressure monitoring u-healthcare system makes effect health management. In my paper, for monitoring real-time blood pressure, an architecture of real-time blood pressure monitoring system which consisted of wrist type-blood pressure measurement, smart-phone and u-healthcare server is presented. And the analog circuit architecture which is major core function for pulse wave detection and digital hardware architecture for wrist type-blood pressure measurement is presented. Also for software development to operate this hardware system, UML analysis method and flowcharts and screen design for this software design are showed. Therefore such design method in my paper is expected to be useful for real-time blood pressure monitoring u-healthcare system implementation.

  • U-healthcare provides people with many conveniences and keeps their health. As facility centered medical environment is being changed to patient centered one, however, various problems are emerging. These problems range from institutional problems to technological, producer related, and user related ones. The researcher took interested in problems originating from users, in particular, elderly patients and guardians taking care of an elderly patient. The main focus of this study is the direction of serious contents design for training skills in HMI of U-healthcare equipment and developing emergency coping abilities. In this study, I started from research on elderly cognitive psychology and elders' motor reactions and interconnected the characteristics of various digital content forms. The results of this study are expected to be useful for the rapidly expanding elderly population and in the U-healthcare industry.

  • As we enter a super-aged society, senior citizens' health issues are affecting a variety of fields, including medicine, economics, society, and culture. In this study, we intend to draw implications from unstructured data analysis such as text mining and social network analysis in order to apply digital health care service design for improving the cognitive ability of senior citizens. The research procedure of this study improved the service design methodology into a process suited to the analysis of unstructured data, and six steps were applied. Related keywords that exist on social media, focusing on cognitive improvement and healthcare for senior citizens, were collected and analyzed, and based on these results, the direction of healthcare service design for improving on the cognitive abilities of senior citizens was derived. The results of this study are expected to have academic and practical implications for expanding the scope of the use of big data analysis methods and improving existing healthcare service development methodologies.

  • With the development of the information and communication technology, the smart hospital has become a new trend in a healthcare industry. This study reviewed the concept, key technologies, applications, and future challenges of a smart hospital, and the user-centered strategies for designing a smart hospital. In smart hospitals, digitally enabled clinical staff will be able to produce better patient outcomes by delivering a more integrated patient-centered care with an efficient manner in connected facilities systems. However, to promote a successful patient-centered smart hospital environment in the future, various obstacles regarding cost, technology, security, and standards should be overcome. It is also necessary for patients and medical personnel to be involved as service users.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the direction of industrial policy by comparing the employment inducement effect on the related industries of the digital bio-healthcare industry. The analysis data used the three-year input-output table measured by the Bank of Korea. First, the research method was rewritten into 7 major industries to compare statistical data by period. Second, the Bank of Korea's industry-related analysis methodology was utilized. Third, the weight was reflected and compared by employment, production, and investment sectors of the digital bio-healthcare industry. As a result of the analysis, first, the employment sector had a higher effect than the average of the entire industry, second, the production sector was low, and third, the investment sector required investment in the service sector. The conclusions drawn from the analysis showed that direct investment and continuous investment are required in the employment sector, the development of professional manpower is urgent, and direct investment and long-term investment are effective in the production sector.

  • A security company has been proposed for various healthcare systems. However, there are improvements in order to achieve better efficiency and stability in the various protocols presented. The purpose of this paper is to provide cryptanalysis and solution on Vijayakumar et al.'s secure communication scheme for healthcare system using wearable devices. Especially, it is weak against denial of service attack and it does not provide integrity of the transmitted messages. Thereby, this paper proposes a new secure communication scheme to cope from the problems in Vijayakumar et al.'s scheme. It provides authentication and integrity, which could be the security solution against Vijayakumar et al.'s scheme. Furthermore, it also provides a good computational overhead compared to Vijayakumar et al.'s scheme.
