Analysis on Predictive Factors of Digital Accessibility Level of Middle-old Age Group: Focused on Gender Difference (중고령자의 디지털정보접근수준 예측요인 분석 : 성별차이를 중심으로)

  • Digital accessibility of the middle-aged and elderly has been increasing at a faster pace than other groups such as the handicapped and adolescents. However, studies related to the digital accessibility of middle and older adults are scarce. In order to examine variables affecting accessibility to digital information of the middle-aged and elderly people, this study researches the impacts of sociodemographic, physical and mental health and social activity variables on the accessibility of digital information. We analyzed data of 1,661 people between the ages of 55 and 84 from the 2018 Status Survey on Digital Divide conducted by the National Information Society Agency. The hierarchical multiple regression analysis shows the higher education, economic, and life satisfaction levels are, the higher digital accessibility levels of both male and female are. The result of the analysis also shows that the aged male has a higher accessibility level when he does not live alone; meanwhile, the aged female has higher digital capability as her age is lower, which describes that there are differences between gender. We expect the result of this study to be used as an important reference to understand factors related to digital accessibility level and active intervention for improving digital accessibility of the middle-aged and elderly male and female.

  • Argument on the postmodernism of philosophy and history, epic and effect, and culture and art is becoming more ambiguous in scope due to digital technology development. Digital technology makes to change of aesthetic approach over the length and breadth of art and culture including medium art. Analysis of Digital images is changed from presence of images to feature analysis of images which is made by digital technology, and raise the question of how to analyze the images of reproducing digital technology focused on realism. Digital image, focused on hyper reality, should be approached not by film aesthetic approach but by shot unit. Due to emphasizes image reality reproduction by frame unit and not the short unit of the narrative approach, the artistic approach should differ from previous realism practice. Particularly, when considering movies which is focused on illusion, the realistic approach should be realized not in the of realistic approach in narrative aspect but in the aspect of realistic approach in painting aspect.

  • A new scheme needed to improve digital information accessibility with overall environment for handicapped persons is introduced in this paper. The improvement effects of digital information accessibility for handicapped persons are expected only when all the necessary hardwares and softwares need to input, process, output of information with social elements are provided all together. There are many previous papers regarded on web accessibility or IT technologies for handicapped persons separately. However, these subjects and computer accessibility are described here as a combined subject, and a new integrated improvement scheme including social factors and technical factors is suggested in this paper.

  • MP3, DVD, P2P 등 디지털 매체기술의 발달은 디지털콘텐츠의 창작과 유통을 급속도로 증가시켰고 일반 공중은 다양한 창작물에 쉽게 접근할 수 있게 됐다. 반면 이러한 기술의 발전은 원본과 거의 차이가 없는 복제물을 쉽고 빠르게 비용을 들이지 않고 재생성하게 하였고, 또한 디지털콘텐츠는 한 번 전송되고 나면 그 침해를 막기가 거의 불가능하기 때문에 저작권자의 이익을 저해하는 사례가 점차로 증가되고 있다. 이에 저작권자들은 자신들이 창작한 저작물을 무단복제로부터 보호하기 위해 암호화기법, 디지털워터마크 등 기술적 조치(technological measures)를 개발해 저작물에 대한 접근을 제한하기 시작했다. 이러한 움직임과 더불어 접근제한시스템에 대한 법적 보호의 필요성이 제기됐고, 저작권자의 허락없이 기술적 보호조치를 무력화하거나 침해하는 행위를 금지하는 입법이 이뤄졌다. 그러나 기술적 보호조치를 보호하게 되면 전통적으로 인정해 온 저작물에 대한 일반인의 접근을 차단하게 되므로 저작권법의 근본적인 입법취지인 과학기술의 발전과 문화증진을 저해하게 될 것이라는 비판도 강력히 맞서고 있다. 이하에서는 기술적보호조치에 관한 사례들을 소개하고 기술적 보호조치의 개념, 관련 법률조항 및 주요 법적 쟁점 등을 중점적으로 살펴보도록 하겠다.

  • 전자도서관에서 기존의 자료 및 새로운 자료들이 디지털화되어 사용자에게 제공되고 있다. 하지만 디지털 자료에 대한 접근시 기존의 도서관 서비스와는 달리 많은 제약 조건 때문에, 사용자의 접근이 어려워 유용한 정보를 가진 많은 양의 디지털화된 자료들의 서비스들이 아주 제한적으로 이루어지고 있다. 이것은 디지털 자료 접근시 기존의 오프라인 도서관에서 사용하는 인증인가 방식을 그대로 사용하고 있기 때문이다. 전자도서관 인증과 인가에 대한 연구가 외국은 활발한 반면, 우리나라에서는 이에 대한 연구가 행해지고 있지 않다. 이에 본 논문은 전자도서관의 디지털 자료나 웹 서비스 접근 시 인증 인가가 필요한 이유와 인증인가 모델 개발시 고려사항들을 설명하고 이를 해결하기 위한 여러 인증 인가 모델들을 소개한다. 그리고 향후 개발될 전자도서관 인증인가 예상 모델과 개발에 필요한 향후과제를 제시한다.

  • This study deals with the technical approach related to the protection of digital video contents copyright, which has currently become a major issue in the digital contents market. With the production and distribution of digital video contents rapidly increasing, various policies and technical approaches are being made in relation to the protection of intellectual property rights. The technical approach from a DRM (Digital Rights Management) perspective was made from various angles, but its limitations have also been exposed in terms of convenience and quality. In this study, rather than the existing encoding certification and watermark technologies, it introduces technical approaches from a content-based copy detection method, while suggesting a copy detection method using the representative color sequence. In particular, this study takes into consideration the distribution environment of the domestic video market and deals with the technical approach in a direction that can control the illegal distribution of high quality videos.

Accessibility to digital information of middle-aged and elderly people, and its impact on life satisfaction level: Sequential Mediation Effects on online social engagement and online network activity (중고령자의 디지털 정보화 접근수준과 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 온라인 사회참여/네트워크 활동의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the access level of digital information service and life satisfaction level of the middle and high-aged people and to analyze the Sequential Mediation Effects on online social engagement and online network activities. To this end, we analyzed the effects of multiple mediations on 1,491 seniors who responded to the 2018 digital information gap survey. The results of the study are as follows: First, this study confirmed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the access levels of digital information service and the life satisfaction. Second, the results showed that impact of digital information access level on life satisfaction among high-aged people was higher when they were engaged in both online social activities and online networking, rather than only involved in online social activities. Overall, this study comprehensively examined the relationship among the level of digital information access, life satisfaction, online social engagement, and online networking, which is meaningful in that it can be used as data for reconsideration of the digital information services and life satisfaction of the high-aged people.

The open access digital library is a practical, cost-effective digital collections capturing and preserving the intellectual output of academic institution including university, research institute.

Improvement of Accessibility and Universality for Educational Digital Contents (디지털 교육용 콘텐츠의 접근성과 보편성 개선 방안)

  • Recently, Korean government has, enacted "Individuals with Disabilities anti-Discriminatory Act" in 2008, and is actively promoting the law. However, it is still at its infancy in comparison to other advanced countries in terms providing access for all users. Educational digital contents offered through cyber home learning need to be universally designed to include all learners. This study, I have analyzed the accessibility of K cyber home learning contents using FAE tool, and the result showed low scores or failed for 'HTML Standards', 'Scripting' and the 'Text Equivalents.' To assist digital contents' accessibility, UDL 7 principles could be use to improve accessibility and universality for learner-centered designs. Use of UDL will include learners with and without disabilities to learn from educational digital contents.

  • 기업의 지적자산을 효과적으로 관리하는 지식경영 차원에서 기업들은 디지털 시대에 부합되도록 다양한 종류의 지식을 창조해내는 디지털 창의성을 기반으로 한 지식 경쟁력 향상 방안을 요구하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 디지털창의성의 개념을 정의하고 이들에게 영향을 미치는 구성요인으로 디지털환경, 전문성영역, 디지털리스트성향을 제시하고 구성원의 다양성에 따른 디지털 창의성 변화와 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 다중 에이전트 시뮬레이션 접근방법을 사용하여 분석 하였다. 분석결과 구성원의 다양성이 높은 집단일 경우 시간의 흐름에 따라 구성원의 다양성이 낮은 집단, 즉 동질성이 높은 집단 보다 지식관리시스템 (KMS)을 이용한 지식의 생성 및 공유와 디지털창의성에 영향을 주는 강도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 전문성영역, 디지털리스트성향이 디지털 창의성에 유의한 영향을 미치며, 디지털 창의성도 경영성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 디지털 창의성과 경영성과 향상에 대한 시사점 및 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.
