  • With the development of digital technology related to mobile, cloud, IoT, even traditional businesses have began to develop strategies for digital transformation. This is regarded as a very important part for business sustainability. However, many of these attempts are being conducted from the management point of view, and there has been little research on user experience design for digital transformation. In this study, Starbucks, which started a offline store business and expanded its experience with online services, was selected as a representative case and user research was conducted on it. Through an usability evaluation and post-task interviews of the Starbucks mobile application users, we discovered important issues of user experience to consider when transforming and expanding services online from offline. Based on the findings, the considersations for designing online user experience were discussed and proposed. These are expected to contribute to the process of researching and implementing digital transformation.

  • In order to improve productivity, reduce costs, and improve decision-making efficiency, which are one of the main contents of the digital transformation promotion goal, many companies are promoting the introduction of various IT for digital transformation. Information technology (IT) is a key means of determining competitiveness, and the IT adoption worldwide is increasing every year. The financial industry is also actively introducing huge amounts of IT every year to generate profits, improve work efficiency, and secure a strategic competitive advantage. Compared to some studies on the IT adoption in the public and corporate sectors, empirical studies that reflect the characteristics of the financial industry are insufficient. In this study, the purpose of this study was to derive factors affecting the IT adoption in the financial industry for the promotion of digital transformation, and to analyze weights and priorities. By revealing through data analysis that there is a difference in the relative priorities of factors in the financial IT adoption for each group, it can be used as a reference model for which factors should be considered prior to IT adoption from the perspective of each group. It will be meaningful in that it exists.

  • The Pareto principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, describes this common pattern of sales concentration. But long tail principle, that expose the power of majority which had been put aside for a long time, rise as a new business strategy in web 2.0 era. In digital and online environment, as created the conditions that satisfy the need of diversity, long-tail effect has been relevant to all social cultures. This paper consider the long-tail effect from a library service point of view and develop library's long-tail strategies. For the more, suggest practical plan about library long-tail based on library 2.0.

  • Interest in the transition to MyData beyond the use of personal data is high worldwide. In order for the ideology of MyData to be realized, various useful MyData services would be developed in practice. Above all, convergence must be premised for the development of MyData. This study proposed strategies for activating MyData convergence services from four perspectives (BLTS: Business, Legal, Technology, and Social). In particular, the purpose w as to revitalize domestic convergence services by comparing European policies and services, which are the most pioneering in the field of MyData, with the domestic situation. It is expected that this study will provide balanced and progressive ideas in the MyData industry and policies.

  • The development of technology based on digital technology has made 'hyper connectivity' between different services a reality, and an example of this is the reinforcement of non-face-to-face services. The non-face-to-face service is a service provided by service providers and customers using information and communication and technology without direct contact. Recently, it has expanded to the hotel industry, which is highly dependent on human resources, centering on the restaurant business. Therefore, this study attempted to identify the case of the "R" hotel in the Gangwon region, which is introducing and operating a kiosk, and to confirm the matters to be considered, the system operation method, and expected effects, etc. for hotels that intend to operate it in the future. It is difficult to affirm that the introduction of KIOSK directly reduced labor costs or increased service efficiency, but it seems meaningful that it has improved the convenience of users. In future research, practical research is needed on the impact of the system on management activities in relation to the introduction of KIOSK.

  • A callable product is one of service derivatives using options to generate demand and reduce risk. This paper compares two booking admission controls for callable products, the online and the batch admission controls. To this end, the paper computes the optimal booking policy by using the backward dynamic programming and the stochastic optimization method. Intuitively, the provider should outperform under the batch control by utilizing demand information. The contribution of the paper is to show that the two controls are equivalent in terms of the booking strategy and the expected profit, which enables the provider to keep its current control method. The paper develops the closed-form solutions for the three fare classes. The future work is to extend the result to the model with complicated fare structures.

  • The Healthcare supply chain management has recently attracted attention as a critical tool to improve service quality and reduce healthcare operational cost. Improving large hospital supply chain performance has become increasingly important as healthcare organizations strive to improve the service quality, while reducing the ever-increasing healthcare cost. This paper explores the strategic areas where the traditional supply chain management may enhance the overall performance of the large hospitals. Based on the literature review and relevant case analysis, this paper argues that the visibility, information sharing and standardization are the critical factors for deploying the supply chain principles, and also proposes the supply chain framework for efficient planning and execution, the use of RFID-enabled system for the end-to-end traceability of medical products, and cross-docking system for minimizing the inventory level in the hospital supply chain. Implications of the study findings are discussed.
