  • 컴퓨터를 이용하여 실물이나 가상의 객체를 형상화하고 움직임을 부여하는 컴퓨터 그래픽스(CG)는 현실과 구분할 수 없을 정도의 기술의 발전과 함께 영화, 게임, VR, 산업용 디스플레이, 화상통신 등 디지털 콘텐츠 전분야에서 활용폭이 넓어지고 있다. 렌더링은 CG에서 장면의 추상적인 3차원 description을 2차원 영상으로 생성하는 과정을 말하며, 생성되는 영상의 품질 및 제작시간을 결정하는 중요한 요소로 인식되고 있다. 과거에 비해 전역 조명 및 셰이딩 기술이 발전하면서 극도로 사실적인 영상의 생성이 가능하게 되었으나 이를 렌더링하는 것은 많은 시간을 필요로 하고 있어, 사실적인 영상을 고속으로 렌더링하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 CG 제작 과정에서 널리 사용되고 있는 주요 렌더러들의 기능들과 미래의 기술 발전 방향을 분석한다.

  • Virtual Engineering은 가상현실 기술이 산업계에 적용되고 있는 대표적인 활용 분야이다. 본 글에서는 Virtual Engineering 기술을 소개하고 가상현실 시장 동향을 정리한다. 그리고, 관련 산업계의 대표적인 기술 수요 사례인 “자동차 디자인 가상 품평” 시스템의 구축을 중심으로 가상 디자인 품평 기술의 현황을 정리한다. 이상적인 가상현실품평 시스템은 사용자가 현업에서의 품평 상황과 동일한 체험을 얻을 수 있도록 지원해야 하는데, 이를 위한 핵심 기술로 실사 수준의 고품질 영상 출력을 위한 고해상도 몰입형 가시화 기술과, 사용자가 가상 자동차 사이를 자연스럽게 조작하는 상호작용지원 기술을 소개한다. 끝으로, 현재 한국전자통신연구원 디지털 콘텐츠 연구단에서 개발하고 있는 “자동차 내관 디자인 가상 품평 시스템”을 대표적인 연구 사례로 소개한다.

High-Capacity Reversible Watermarking through Predicted Error Expansion and Error Estimation Compensation (추정 오차 확장 및 오류 예측 보정을 통한 고용량 가역 워터마킹)

  • Reversible watermarking which can preserve the original quality of the digital contents and protect the copyright has been studied actively. Especially, in medical, military, and art fields, the need for reversible watermarking is increasing. This paper proposes a high-capacity reversible watermarking through predicted error expansion and error estimation compensation. Watermark is embedded by expanding the difference histogram between the original value and the predicted value. Differently from previous methods calculating the difference between adjacent pixels, the presented method calculates the difference between the original value and the predicted value, and that increases the number of the histogram value, where the watermark is embedded. As a result, the high capacity is achieved. The inserted watermark is extracted by restoring the histogram between the original value and the predicted value. To prove the performance, the presented algorithm is compared with other previous methods on various test images. The result supports that the presented algorithm has a perfect reversibility, a high image quality, and a high capacity.

The effect of COVID-19 characteristics and transmission risk concerns on smart learning acceptance: Focusing on the application of the integrated model of ISSM and HBM (코로나-19의 특징과 전파위험 걱정이 스마트 러닝 수용에 미치는 영향: ISSM과 HBM의 통합 모형 적용을 중심으로)

  • As COVID-19 spreads, people's interest in smart learning that can do non-face-to-face learning is increasing nowadays. In this study, we aim to empirically analyze how users' thoughts on COVID-19 and the information quality and system quality of smart learning systems affect users' acceptance of smart learning and examine the effect of perceived sensitivity and severity of COVID-19 on the satisfaction and use of smart learning through concerns about the risk of transmission. In addition, we examined the influence of information quality composed of content quality and interaction quality and system quality composed of system accessibility and functionality on the use of smart learning through user satisfaction. To verify the validity of the proposed model, we conducted a survey on 334 users with experience in using smart learning, and performed the analysis using Smart PLS 3.0. According to the analysis results, among information quality and system quality, only functionality has a positive (+) effect on the satisfaction of smart learning, and satisfaction has a positive (+) effect on the usage behavior. However, it is found that accessibility among system quality do not affect satisfaction, and concern about the risk of transmission has a negative effect on satisfaction. This study can provide meaningful guidelines to researchers when researching smart learning to support students' learning in a pandemic situation of a new infectious disease, such as COVID-19. It will also be able to provide useful implications for educational institutions and companies related to smart learning.

Block-based Image Authentication Algorithm using Differential Histogram-based Reversible Watermarking (차이값 히스토그램 기반 가역 워터마킹을 이용한 블록 단위 영상 인증 알고리즘)

  • In most applications requiring high-confidential images, reversible watermarking is an effective way to ensure the integrity of images. Many watermarking researches which have been adapted to authenticate contents cannot recover the original image after authentication. However, reversible watermarking inserts the watermark signal into digital contents in such a way that the original contents can be restored without any quality loss while preserving visual quality. To detect malicious tampering, this paper presents a new block-based image authentication algorithm using differential histogram-based reversible watermarking. To generate an authentication code, the DCT-based authentication feature from each image block is extracted and combined with user-specific code. Then, the authentication code is embedded into image itself with reversible watermarking. The image can be authenticated by comparing the extracted code and the newly generated code and restored into the original image. Through experiments using multiple images, we prove that the presented algorithm has achieved over 97% authentication rate with high visual quality and complete reversibility.

  • By recent development of wired and wireless communication technology, any service can be delivered through broadcasting networks or communication networks. So contents consumers want to receive broadcasting program via any accessible network. Network independent broadcasting system can receive optimized multimedia contents by combining the high-quality multimedia contents transmitted through broadcasting network and the additional contents delivered through communication network. Additional contents can be other multimedia contents, URL of contents, some texts for indicating information of received multimedia, etc. Network independent broadcasting system is in early stage of development, and receivers and the monitoring system for hybrid broadcast are under development. Thus the multiplexing method and demultiplexing method to perform hybrid broadcasting is on study. In this paper, we designed the demultiplexing algorithm to perform hybrid broadcasting system and implemented demultiplexer system based on modulator interface system standard T2-MI of DVB-T2.

An Exploration of Factor's of Service Quality influencing at User's Satisfaction and Distribution Channel of the Digital Contents (디지털 콘텐츠 사용자의 만족에 영향을 주는 서비스 품질 요인 및 유통 채널 탐색에 관한 연구)

  • With the recent development of IT technology, the existing contents have been digitalized through various distribution channels. Accordingly, a lot of studies have been done in order to figure out the distribution and features of digital contents, In these studies, however, categorical characteristics of digital contents were not considered ; most of the previous researchers saw digital contents as only a single item or focused on some contents within particular part such as movie, music, etc. So, this study divides digital contents into movies, music and texts. I was going to study which factors affect Customer Satisfaction in relation with the kind of contents. With SERVQUAL as independent variables, which affect the Customer satisfaction, I used five factors :Design Quality, Information Quality, Security Quality, Communication Quality and Transaction Quality. As for the detailed items, I corrected them with Open-End Question and Pre Survey Research, which are more fit into the features of digital contents. This research conducted Principle Component Analysis, Reliability Test, Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis. I verified that each factor of Service Qualities has a positive effect on Customer Satisfaction. Moreover, the factors of the effect are different according to the kind of digital contents. This paper was added Exploratory Study to find the best distribute channel. For the study, I search the possible distribute channel in each digital contents and their characteristic.

  • This paper deals with a longitudinal time series study on the viewing behavior of digital media service. After holdback of terrestrial broadcasting VOD service was extended in 2013, viewers' terrestrial broadcasting VOD viewing went down sharply. Researcher assumed that there was driven by watching alternative products such as movies, kids, etc. as the cause of the decline of the terrestrial broadcasting VOD viewing. In addition, researcher assumed that the decline of terrestrial broadcasting VOD viewing had an influence on the viewing rate of the terrestrial real-time broadcasting, and confirmed the cause of the decreasing of the terrestrial real-time broadcasting viewing rate. In order for terrestrial broadcasters to retrieve real-time broadcasting and VOD viewing, it is necessary to shorten the VOD holdback and reacquire viewers away from terrestrial broadcasting.

  • Now Broadcasting system of TV has been developed from analogue to digital we call that IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) or DCATV(Digital Cable Television). But, The characteristics of digital broadcasting is the high-quality contents of easily and almost no damage piracy, and Copyright loss is increasing by Internet, P2P(Peer to Peer) and personal path. Nevertheless user's permissions that recorded and reuse of broadcasting can't restraint, And Training Materials etc. use of fair program needs to be separated from illegality. In this paper using a digital certificate permit the use of stored program to authorized user and user of fair purpose, And illegal distribution of restriction design and implement a distribution system.

  • The research background of this paper is because the u-convergence information system applying flow theory lacks the measurement of tourist satisfaction. The purpose and research method of this study are as follows. The first is the suggestion of flow relation information display format algorithm. Second, by combining this algorithm and flow theory, a pattern algorithm was created according to the content information quality and the personality type of tourists. The expected effect of this study is to derive the success factors of the u-convergence information system by generating a pattern algorithm according to the flow relationship information display format and the tourist's personality type. The limitations of this paper are limited to one area, and objectivity is poor due to the lack of data and small area. In the future, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness through analysis after applying the method presented to other tourist destinations. Future tasks will need to be supplemented with data from expert groups and objectivity in various regions.
