Novel Synchronization Scheme for Ubiquitous Home Network Systems (유비쿼터스 홈 네트워크 시스템을 위한 동기화 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose and analyze a novel synchronization scheme for ubiquitous home network system. In ubiquitous home network system, synchronization method is very important because many consumer electronic devices send the data simultaneously to each other through infrastructure such as access point. We employ digital watermarking sequence to improve synchronization performance without system overhead. The performance of proposed scheme is analyzed in terms of correlation performance. The results of the paper can be applied to design of various applications for ubiquitous home network systems.

  • This study presents a time synchronization system in decentralized structure by using the blockchain, a core technology of Bitcoin introduced by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. In this study, Getting away from existing time synchronization system in centralized structure, A blockchain network has completely decentralized structure using public blockchain. In decentralized structure, Only certain peers among the peers that participate in a blockchain network access the NTP server. Therefore, others can synchronize time without having to go to public network. Furthermore if appropriate time synchronization cycles are established for each peer, time synchronization can be maintained even when connection to public network is completely lost. A time synchronization system in this study has advantages of p2p system and can be also guaranteed reliability and stability because it used digital signature, merkle tree, consensus algorithm which are core characteristics of block chains.

  • A home network is a residential local area network in which digital home appliances are connected with each other. Applying the mobile agent technology to the home network is expected to provide a new computing model. In particular, mobility and asynchronous ability of mobile agent can be used to reduce network traffic generated for managing home appliances. However, in order to apply the mobile agent concept to the home network, access control for mobile agents is necessary. In the existing home network system, there is one special server, sometimes called home server This server generally has mapping tables to be updated periodically, which describes access control lists between users' authorities and corresponding devices. In this paper, we propose a role-based access control framework with mobile agents in home networks. This framework, called Secure KAgent framework, is designed and implemented based on KAgent system. It has two main characteristics: to control access permissions based on Role-Based Access Control(RBAC) scheme and to safety assign roles to mobile agents by role tickets.

  • New and creative skills must be developed, and adapted into a lesson, to motivate learners to acquire a second language easily and enjoyment, Multimedia tools which are of interest to learners, such as; smart phones, computers, and notebooks with wireless internet compatability, will provide learners opportunities to study, and do their work practically anywhere and anytime. Recently, podcasts, which are a type of digital media, consisting of a series of audio episodes or video files, subscribed to and downloaded through web syndication, or streamed online to a computer or mobile device, are used to facilitate ESL (English as a Second Language) learning. Development of a variety of teaching methods, using multimedia tools, is needed. There are advantages and disadvantages to using a variety of multimedia tools. The current research aims to study its characteristics and application, in order to maximize their effective use, in English education. The current study suggests a ubiquitous learning environment using multimedia content tools, internet media, video teleconferencing, cyber-learning, and one-to-one videos used in conjunction with, or as a digital textbook for the English lesson. This study also investigates future educational changes, using state-of-the-art equipment for the self-learning experience, and will present a new direction in English education, through a variety of instructional devices and a marginalized class system model.

  • As the paradigm of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is expanding, VR devices and their contents industry are drawing more and more attention as the digital devices of the next generation. Of the realms of VR contents, $360^{\circ}$ 3D videos are receiving the most attention in the field of media, and they are being utilized by Google as educational contents. As such, this research analyzes actual condition of use and motivation of using corresponding contents through survey of $360^{\circ}$ 3D video users. Results show that the most utilized platform is Youtube, and the genres which the respondents have used or are willing to use turned out to be Games and Movies.

  • The purpose of this study analyze consumer usage characteristics and product development guide of electronic pen based on TAM theory(Davies, 1989). Research methods apply contents analysis(qualitative research) and Activity/Inactivity analysis of main consumer participation. Research results are as follows. Active consumer indicated 30-49 age, male, office job and research fellow. And they suggested stable power supply system, App connected pen function extension, add the modified pen function, advanced data recognition of pen, advanced take note ability and stable grip feeling of pen, selected line width, synchronization improvement with other smart device and charging function. These result indicated the importance product improvement diffusion factor of early market to main market. The future research of electric pen focused on different product strategy between electric pen and smart device connected electric pen.

Development of Embedded Board for Construction of Smart Factory (스마트 팩토리 구축을 위한 임베디드 보드 개발)

  • In this paper, we propose the development of an embedded board for construction of smart factory. The proposed embedded board for construction of smart factory consists of main module, ADC module, I/O module. Main module is a main calculating device which includes communication pard that allows interface with external device with using industrial protocol and is ported operating system makes board operating into. ADC module takes part in transferring digital signal has converted from electrical signal to the main module from the external sensor which is installed on the field. I/O module is an input and output module which transfers to the main module about a status, alarm, command signal of field device and it has a function that blocks external noises from field device with isolation circuit into it. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed embedded board for construction of smart factory, it has been tested by an authorized testing institute. As a result, quantity of interacting protocol was 5, speed of hardware clock synchronization was under 10us and operating time of battery without source power was over 8 hours. It produced the same result as the world's highest level.

  • This paper deals with the modeling and simulation to control the torque and speed of an induction motor using field-oriented control methods. Rotor flux is estimated using the indirect sensing method based on the rotor circuit equation in the synchronously rotation reference frame, and slip angle and rotor position are calculated from rotor angular velocity and stator current. As results of modeling and digital simulation with a voltage source inverter, it is shown that the proposed scheme gives good static and dynamic performance to the induction motor drive.

  • With the development and spread of smart devices, the proportion of mobile shopping is gradually increasing, and the market for mobile gift certificates is also increasing. This study examines the usage status and acceptance attitude of mobile gift certificates for university students who are major customers of mobile gift certificates. Also, based on the extended integrated technology acceptance model (UTAUT2), the results of the analysis of the mediating effect of the intention of the user on the relationship between acceptance of mobile vouchers and recommendation intention were presented. As a result of the analysis, it was shown that the effort expectation, hedonic motivation, price utility, and habit had significant influence on the intention to use the mobile gift certificates. Also, the intention to use mobile gift certificates has mediating effects between effort expectation, hedonic motivation, price utility and recommendation intention. The results of this study can be applied to strategic marketing such as recruitment of new customers through mobile gift certificates while explaining customers' acceptance of technology to mobile gift vouchers or future prospective customers.
