Digital interactives in museums are expanding and user experience is becoming the focus of exhibition design. The purpose of this study was to suggest guidelines for serious games as a part of museum exhibits. To achieve this, studies on museum education, public space HCI, serious games, and universal design were analyzed by using content analysis methods. Results included 16 quality standards from cognitive, physical, and personal/social models. The findings from this study could benefit the design of future museum gaming interactives.

미국의 상표정보를 검색하기 위해서는 먼저 미국의 상표제도와 출원절차를 어느 정도 파악하고 있어야 한다. 미국특허청(USPTO)에서 지원하는 상표정보 데이터베이스를 살펴보기에 앞서 미국 상표출원의 특징적인 내용을 몇가지 살펴봤다.

데이터베이스지식포털 DBGuide.net이 서비스를 시작한 지 벌써 1년이 돼가고 있다. 최근 DBGuide.net에서는 지난 1년이라는 기간동안 사용자들이 DBGuide.net을 통해 무엇을 얻었고, 무엇을 원하는지 파악하고자 사용자 만족도 조사를 실시했다. 그결과를 토대로 DBGuide.net의 성과와 앞으로의 계획에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

우리나라는 그동안 하드웨어와 정보통신 인프라에서 세계적 수준의 성장을 이루었고 세계가 주목하는 IT 강국으로 발돋움해 왔다고 평가받고 있다. 하지만 디지털콘텐츠 산업이 갖는 중요성에도 불구하고 객관적 현황을 다룬 기본적인 통계자료는 거의 없는 상태이다. 이에 정통부에서 한국소프트웨어진흥원에 의뢰해 조사한 <국내 디지털콘텐츠 시장동향>을 조사 분석한 보고서를 발표했다. 국내 디지털콘텐츠 업계의 매출 및 유료화 현황과 자금확보 및 수출현황에 대한 폭넓은 조사가 진행됐다. 월간<디지털콘텐츠>에서는 본 보고서를 게재하면서 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 현상에 대한 정확한 이해와 미래 계획의 수립, 이를 위한 필수 자원의 확보 등에 대한 가이드라인을 제공하고자 한다. 그리고 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 구성원들에게 필요한 정보를 체계적으로 제공하고 이를 토대로 경쟁력 있는 '사업계획 수립'과 미래 발전 방안'을 모색할 수 있기를 바란다.

Digital tourism is the digital support of the tourist experience before, during and after the tourist activity[1]. The GPS-enabled mobile phones provide location-based mobile applications such as tour guide and storytelling services. In this paper, we propose the smart tour guide service platform based on GIS and develop the mobile application to provide the smart tour guide service. The proposed smart tour guide service platform consists of CMS, the multi-modal navigation system, the tour attraction content creation and management system, the tour commodity creation and management system, the smart search system, and the user terminal. The smart tour guide application supports digital tourism in the pre-tour, during tour, and post-tour using the proposed smart tour guide service platform in the popular tourist attractions in Jeju.

Recent commencement of digital broadcasting has enabled various TV programs through hundreds of channels. As a result, it becomes a time-consuming job for the TV audience to look up newspaper or TV magazines for the schedule of a specific TV program. To relieve this problem, digital broadcasting usually provides an EPG(Electronic Program Guide) for the audience. Currently. most EPG services are focusing on the visual delivery of information through a web site, digital TV or mobile devices. However, this approach could cause a serious restriction to some users including drivers or visually handicapped persons, who can't input keywords for the search. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a VoiceXML-based EPG retrieval system that enables even such special users to browse EPG. conveniently using a mobile phone. We implemented a prototype system and proved its effectiveness through experiments.
