A Study on the Analysis of Elements and Practical Using Method in Space Diagram of UN Studio (UN Studio의 공간 다이어그램 구성요소와 활용방법 분석)

  • The aims of this study are to examine the conceptual contents of space diagram, and to find its elements and practical applications by analyzing the UN Studio. The Findings of this study are as follows: firstly, the conceptual contents represented in space diagram are classified into four elements - motif, flow, relationship, and distribution. Secondly, space diagram is used in program development, schematic design, and preliminary design of design process phases. Thirdly, the elements based on the case diagrams include five elements: context analysis, object analysis, time-behavior analysis, modeling analysis, and space analysis. Fourthly, in practical use, diagrams with motif concept is usually used in modeling analysis, and diagram with flow concept is commonly used in the analysis of time-behavior and object. Diagrams with relationship concept is mostly used in space analysis, secondly in analysis of context and modeling. Further, diagrams with distribution concept is usually used in space analysis. If one uses these findings for design projects in practical business or education, it would be helpful in design conception and development as well as of design information structuralization.

  • In this research, I analyze cases of character packages in Japane, extract the concept of design that was loved by consumers and inmates and succeeded in marketing, and aim to establish the logic and principle. In addition, in the future, when introducing and utilizing the character package design in Korea, this research intends to make a guideline for the development of objective validity and empathic package design. After identifying the design concept and finding the principle by targeting package design of five character of Tohato which mixed various media and expanded sales, I want to find out the cause of success. Therefore, I have studied the theory and principles of enterprise and creative in product strategy through case analysis of character design concept and character package design. As a result, a design that leaving the functional side, having a story, making memories, and inducing a sense of closeness was as a successful case of renewal. In the package design, in some cases, package design execution is more important under the theoretical system according to consumer behavior analysis and Promotion of bold design concept of the design for the success of that concept, deviated from the existing principle.

  • As web-based programming tools(such as flash action script, javascript, java and etc.) has been improved and it has become more aware to take interactivity importantly as users' whole experience, web sites have evolved from the form of webzine to the form of interactive application that displays more interactive interface and gives instant feedbacks for the users' inputs. Web, rather than software, is used to execute relatively easy tasks by users of various levels, so that web sites could give more fun and less cognitive burden by supporting users' tasks in more interactive way. This paper examined design strategies to make more interactive web by figuring out definition of web interaction as users' experience and by analyzing web interaction design trends from cases of interactive web sites. The ultimate objective of this paper is show how design strategies can be adapted in the web interaction design process. Thus, case study of designing interactive bookshell in E-book site was done and is demonstrating one way of adapting strategies to design web interaction.

  • The protection of intellectual property right in international conventions are worldwide or regional areas already exists a century. Therefore, our country is positive affiliated with international conventions. After that time, such as a violation of international convention and an example of imitations are continually that we prognosticate the international trade market activities was difficult not only became an issue of country credit risk. At this point, the major purpose of this study make an analysis of both paralleled with the case study follow an example and the comprehension with concerned about recognition of intellectual property right. In additionally, it stands a plan of package design protections under the WTO systems. This study have carried out a theoretical and practical analysis of intellectual property right and statistical analysis through the inside and outside of the country packaging design study and a case study of troubles with intellectual property. Besides, it is accomplish the purpose of the study that established exploratory study survey about inside and outside of the country packaging design infringement case study and relative package design industry employees with consumptions real research. I hoped that this study will be a foundation on which packaging, design industry protections to intellectual property right.

  • Interactive space became one of the major design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect in this, we need user-centered design methodology which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. As the second paper of three-linked studies for the interactivity in the interactive space, this research analyzed the interface factors' specific attributes for supporting behavioral participation. 'Interface' is one of three main factors on the interactivity(Intersubject/Interface/Interaction). Its role in the interactive space is to induce or support user's participations which bring the interactive changes into the designs. Qualitative case analysis was the main method and 30 cases were investigated. 'Individual analysis-Transitional description-Generalization' were the progressive steps for case analysis. As final results, 17 attributes for supporting behavioral participation were analyzed.

Urban Design cases study analysis using solar cell : Focusing on the use CIGS Thin Film Solar cell (태양전지를 활용한 도시디자인 사례분석 연구 : CIGS 박막 태양전지의 활용을 중심으로)

  • This research was to understand the current situation and trends of urban design using rapidly growing solar cells at home and abroad, and to understand the positive aspects and implications of urban design proposals using CIGS thin film solar cells, a research project to be conducted based on case analysis. The research method was conducted through a literature study and the case was investigated and analyzed after identifying the present situation and trends of urban design using solar cells from home and abroad. As a result, it was confirmed that urban design using solar cells was steadily increasing, and through visual changes such as harmony with the surrounding environment, indoor and outdoor visualization, and the use of color, urban aesthetic beauty creation was positive. Based on these implications, we will present the expected effects of CIGS thin film solar cells being utilized in urban design, and confirm the direction and significance of the urban design proposal using CIGS thin film solar cells in the future.

  • 본 연구는 신제품 개발 과정에서 이루어지는 개념 설계(conceptual design) 단계에서의 효과적인 평가 방법론 제안을 목적으로 한다. 특히, 현재 사용자가 경험하지 못한 미래형 제품설계를 위한 개념 설계 내용이, 사용자의 잠재적 요구사항을 반영하고 사용자가 수행해야 하는 과업을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 지의 여부를 평가하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 디자인 컨셉 평가 프레임웍은 3단계로 구성되어 있다. Phase 1에서는 제품의 미래 사용환경을 예측한 시나리오를 작성하여 사용 사례를 도출하고 사용 사례에 대한 과업 분석을 수행, 사용자의 수행 과업을 파악한다. Phase 2에서는 이러한 사용자의 수행 과업을 지원하기 위해 필요한 기능적 요구사항을 구현할 수 있는 기술을 체계적으로 파악하여, 기술 지도(Technology Roadmap)로서 전개한다. 이를 통해 디자인 컨셉을 구현하기 위해 현재 활용 가능한 기술 대안을 파악한다. Phase 3에서는 기술 지도를 통해 파악한 현재의 요소 기술 및 미래의 기술 대안과 사용자 요구사항간의 연관관계를 분석, 제품 개념 설계에 반영되어야 할 설계 요구사항을 도출하여 평가항목을 구성한다. 본 연구의 디자인 컨셉 평가 방법은 CSCW(Computer Supported Cooperative Work)기반 시스템의 실감 사용자 인터페이스(tangible user interface) 개발 사례를 통해 검증하였다.

The Types and Characteristics of Transformational Design Ideas in Contemporary Military Look (현대 밀리터리 룩에 나타난 전환적 디자인 발상 유형과 특성)

  • This study analyzes and categorizes the cases of military look's transitional design ideas in recent women's fashion collections, and derives characteristics. The research method is a theoretical review of military look and an analysis of fashion collection cases. The research results were classified into a total of six transformational design ideas. As a structural change in design, it is a decentralized type, a type of expansion and reduction, a change in the entire material, or a transition of some materials, and finally a type according to heterogeneous harmony and organic combination corresponding to styling. Finally, a total of three characteristics are the reconstruction of structural elements, the expansion of the metric of the second mix match, and the emotional fusion of styling. I hope that the study of the transformative type of idea of the new military look will be the driving force for creative design development and will be a basic study that can read the current status and changes of the times throughout fashion design.
