Recently automotive markets are on the way into maturing status with the mega merger between makers which brought equalizations of technology and upgrade of overall performance of vehicles. And the needs of automobile also changed into replacement buying from the entry buying. For the reason why it is the recent trend which has more importance on the software oriented element such as the sane design of vehicles than the hardware like the mechanical elements. This changing characteristics of market which requires more creativity and finished style treatment on an automotive design demand the concept of shape grammar for conducting shape on the macroscopic view. In this research the possibility has been observed to use the body proportion as the concept of the shape grammar for analyzing the relations between the form, sign, and perception as a basic principle of organizing shapes.

This study analyzes the characteristics regarding the image of women in feminist magazine covers. Along with fundamental analysis of the female image that appeared on the covers of feminist magazines and the grammar of visual design by Kress and van Leeuwen, a methodology of socio semiotic research, this study explores the structure and driving principles of symbols that have organized female images. The subject of analysis is set to 200 covers of magazines published from the 1960s to the 2010s. Through analysis, first, female images represented in the covers of feminist magazines showed women of various races, age groups, appearances, and occupations, and the degree od emphasis on the physique was fewer and natural-looking. Second, the study confirms that feminist magazines actively utilize representational and interactive metafunctions to deliver symbolic information such as messages of confidence, strength, and courage. Third, the organized symbols affected the recipient's understanding and interpretation of images. I hope this study helps to contemplate ways to express female images and the dynamic and diverse aspects of women.

The term 'module' is an architectural term. It refers to the components or systems that make up a finished product. As industries develop, modules have become one of the methods that can create diverse and creative designs. Traditional modular fashion design mainly focused on structural methods, such as the combination, assembly, overlap, and arrangement of modules, as well as the tessellation of geometric shapes. However, in this paper, significance lies in exploring the application of shape grammar, a design method in architecture, to fashion design. It aims to search for ways to express three-dimensional designs, derive designs that can be worn and produced, and propose fashion design by applying the rules of shape grammar to the design process. Through this analysis, the paper aims to examine the methods and characteristics of shape grammar. The research method of this paper is as follows. First, by utilizing optimized programs for implementing the modules of shape grammar, it was possible to propose a method for producing modules of shape grammar and suggest module designs. Additionally, effective methods of representation using the Clo 3D program were explored in the design development process. Second, by applying shape grammar to the fashion design process, five-dimensional modular fashion designs were proposed, including a bolero, dress 1, dress 2, setup, and coat. The proposed modular fashion design using shape grammar in this paper provides a rational design process that differentiates itself from traditional modular fashion design. By formalizing the shapes between modules and creating rules, it overcomes the limitations of design that rely on the designer's intuition or sensibility and enables the development of more diverse modular fashion designs. This application of shape grammar in fashion design can provide an important direction in exploring a sustainable fashion industry.

심미적차원의 접근을 통한 영상디자인의 틀을 인간이 가진 오감의 특성을 최대 활용하여 전시상황에 따른 감성문법을 활용하여 감각적이며 사용자중심의 니즈에 맞는 선택적이며 시대흐름에 맞는 패턴분석을 적용하여 감성적인 욕구를 심리적인 방법으로 파악하며 영상으로 접근하는 것이다. 이러한 감성패턴분석들은 VJ(비디오쟈키)의 영상활용과 증강현실, 전시디자인의 광고 또한 건축물에 있어서 효과적인 영상활용법을 적용한 감성디자인의 확장을 보여주고 있다. 오감을 활용한 인터랙티브한 미디어아트에서의 영상활용과 콘서트홀에서의 관객과 소통을 인한 커뮤니케이션장치들이 확장되며 도구들 속에서 진정한 인간의 통합된 감각을 전달하기 위한 감성이 필요하다. 이번 연구를 통하여 감성디자인을 적용한 영상사례들을 살펴보며 소통을 위한 감성디자인의 영상을 활용하여 최적화된 전시디자인에 활용되는 감성적 접근방법과 활용에 대해 이해하고자 한다.

PtolemyII는 내장형 시스템과 같이 이질적 성질을 가진 병렬 시스템을 모델링하고 디자인 할 수 있는 환경을 지원해준다. PtolemyII의 CSP 도메인은 병렬 시스템을 효과적으로 명세할 수 있는 프로세스 알제브라 언어인 CSP를 구현한 것이다. CCS도 프로세스 알제브라 언어로써 정형적으로 병렬시스템을 명세하고 검증할 수 있다. 이 두 프로세스 알제브라 언어는 비슷한 목적으로 가지고 개발되었으나 통신의 세부적인 부분의 개념에 있어서 차이가 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 CCS 기반의 통신이 이루어 질 수 있는 CCS 도메인을 구현하여 PtolemyII에 추가하였으며, PtolemyII에 구현된 CCS 도메인의 커널구조와 구현 방법을 설명하겠다. CCS 도메인 구현은 기존의 개발자들이 actor-oriented 디자인을 하는 PtolemyII의 디자인 방법을 따라 기존의 프로세스 알제브라 언어들의 문법을 익히지 않고도 모델링 하고 시뮬레이션 할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 또한 PtolemyII에 CCS도메인을 추가함으로써 정형적 명세의 다양성을 높였다.

The work of design needs not only a lot of scientific information, but also a artistic sensitivity. Designers require abundant imagination to translate the information of the design, into the Gestaltung. Particularly, the translation of ergonomic information into the elements and grammar of the Gestaltung needs an interface. In order to consider the theoretical possibility for this, a view of fundamental notions, the function of design semantics and ergonomic problems in the design process were analyzed. The purpose of this study is the exploration and relevance of the theoretical model for human factors and design semantics, to see if they could be harmonized as a system of a new design method.

This research comes from the premise that a student-oriented English digital textbook's design should be age appropriate. Our study is intended for third-year elementary students, since that age is the onset of English education within the Korean national curriculum. Our proposal focuses on this age's need for concrete information. Three popular textbooks' designs were analyzed using Cress's "Grammar Flame of Visual Design [Cress 2006]," and the results reflected in our modified book design. Via two case studies, a focus group interview, questionnaire, and observation analysis, we learned that the design of an age-appropriate digital English textbook changes the effectiveness of the education. An age-appropriate modified digital English textbook improves student satisfaction and interest. Our research proposes a systematic textbook design guide for age-specific preferences and characteristics.

Design is a realm one should have brought out creativity. So designers have continuously struggled for creating something new. In respects of that the essence of design work is making novel and creative things, and in design process' creative idea generation' to reach a final design solution is one of important capability that designers must have. In this study two different substantial methods for creative idea generation are suggested. One is existing' analogical association', an essential form widely used in association process, another is 'shape elements reconstruction' similarly operated 'shape grammar'. Therefore in this study for finding methods to reinforce designers' creative idea generation both of paper-based and computer-based design method are suggested substantially. In Both there is a common feature that existing or quiet new elements are organizationally associated or reconstructed in idea generation procedure.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the transformed fashion design based on the principles of visual design. Wucius Wong classified the kinds of transformation techniques as internal variation, external variation, extension, superimposition, transfiguration, dislocation, and distortion, which create and modify the shape. And the kinds of shape grammar for transformation are rule deletion, rule addition, and rule transformation, which are applied to interpretate for the change of wearing, the specialization & development of clothes, and the avant-garde styles in subculture groups. The formative meanings of the transformed fashion design are multi-transformation with complexity, formal beauty pretending confusion, and the basis for new trend.

The investigation of the apartment housing as a dwelling type has become the most important and popular research subject to understand the housing culture in Korea. In their methods of typological analysis, it is found that most studies represent each unit plan as a simplified architectural drawing. This type of typology, however, has difficulties in processing a large scale of data set because each representation of a plan contain too many informations. To deal with this problem, this study suggests a new graph-theoretical method by which apartment plans can be represented in a more simple and effective way. This new method is also tested against the sample plans from Gangnam-gu area in Seoul to reveal the design logic hidden in plan configuration. Through a series of analyses, it is verified that there exist a design strategy that guides the particular pattern of zoning and allocation of each room in the plan.
