Development of Vehicle Motion Monitoring Module based on Smartphone (스마트폰을 이용한 차량용 주행 모니터링 모듈 개발)

  • This paper presents the development of a core module for integrating data from vehicle by the convergence technology of mobile telematics and black-box. This emerging technology can be referred to as Black-box in Mobile (BIM). For the development of BIM, sensors and cameras were realized in a driving robot. Relevant hardware implementation was achieved to verify the functionality of BIM. The transmitted signal from the driving robot was confirmed in an Android-based portable device. Existing Black-boxes were mostly developed by major transportation companies and focused only on storing data. The proposed BIM offers not only data storage but also easy-to-use real-time monitoring while in motion. In addition, the vehicle can be monitored on parking through shock sensors. This development is considered commercially viable as it is achieved via software implementation.

  • According to the lunching of Google glass, the interest for wearable computer is increasing. This paper is about how to apply humanity or humanist metaphor to the development and application of wearable computer. Humanity is consisted of dream, imagination and desire of human mind. However the software development methodology and application design of engineering part are consisted of the logical language and also they are testable. In this paper the different academics are combined and researched to develop the human-friendly application which are the design of humanities-applying wearable computer and the service scenarios. This paper shows the specific examples of services to search, share and analyze the information with wearable computer also presents what kinds of humanistic metaphor is able to apply in this process.

  • In recent years, various contents traffics are increasing according to the various internet connectable devices which have become contents provider. Because these contents traffics show different pattern from previous one, many researches for efficient contents delivery system are in progress. CCN(Contents Centric Network), one of the representative research subject, has inter operation problem with a current network because it has clean-state architecture. In this point of view, this paper suggests the SaNA(Service adaptive Network Architecture) for efficient contents delivery when it inter operates with current network architecture. SaNA is a convergence system which can be gradually applied to current network using CCN and SDN(Software Defined Network) which are core future internet technologies. Appling this system on the contents delivery service, it can increase the network bandwidth utilization by two times and decrease the contents delivery time by 1.7 times.

  • The floating holograms currently being commercialized are one-way floating holograms. One-way floating holograms are used for performances and exhibitions, and the implementation method is to reflect the image contents into the reflecting glass at $45^{\circ}$ through a single presentation medium. This creates as inefficient a space as the remaining space of reflective glass tilted at $45^{\circ}$, and even more inefficient space if the video content is presented larger. Therefore, the installation space of a one-way floating hologram is restricted. This paper aims to improve users' satisfaction by developing an upper and lower floating hologram with efficient installation of a one-way floating hologram that is currently commercialized, integrating sound output systems and producing new types of speaker products.

Study on Heart Rate Variability and PSD Analysis of PPG Data for Emotion Recognition (감정 인식을 위한 PPG 데이터의 심박변이도 및 PSD 분석)

  • In this paper, we propose a method of recognizing emotions using PPG sensor which measures blood flow according to emotion. From the existing PPG signal, we use a method of determining positive emotions and negative emotions in the frequency domain through PSD (Power Spectrum Density). Based on James R. Russell's two-dimensional prototype model, we classify emotions as joy, sadness, irritability, and calmness and examine their association with the magnitude of energy in the frequency domain. It is significant that this study used the same PPG sensor used in wearable devices to measure the top four kinds of emotions in the frequency domain through image experiments. Through the questionnaire, the accuracy, the immersion level according to the individual, the emotional change, and the biofeedback for the image were collected. The proposed method is expected to be various development such as commercial application service using PPG and mobile application prediction service by merging with context information of existing smart phone.

스마트 사회의 보안위협과 정보보호 정책추진에 관한 제언

  • 우리는 지금 스마트 사회에 살아가고 있다. 언제 어디서든 스마트 디바이스를 통해 기존에 PC에서 하던 작업들을 손쉽게 하고 있다. 한편 스마트폰의 확산으로 이용자 수가 급증하고 있는 소셜네트워크 서비스(SNS)는 이용자들이 자신의 일상적인 이야기를 사이버공간에 게시함으로 인해 개인의 사생활 정보들이 노출되고, 그러한 정보들이 범죄에 악용되는 사례들이 눈에 띄게 증가하고 있다. 또한 SNS를 이용한 악성코드의 유포 및 빠른 전파 등도 새로운 보안위협으로 나타나고 있다. 그 밖에 스마트 기기를 대상으로 한 해킹 및 악성코드 감염 등 위협이 증가하고 있는 형편이다. 본고에서는 스마트 사회의 주요 보안위협을 살펴보고 미국, 유럽, 일본, 호주 등 선진국의 관련 정책 동향과 국내 정책과 실태를 분석하여 새로운 정보보호 정책 수립 방향을 제언하고자 한다. 스마트 사회 위험 요소로 가장 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 스마트폰과 스마트폰을 통해 이용되고 있는 소셜네트워크 서비스, 클라우드 서비스의 보안위협을 제기하고 최근 글로벌 이슈로 떠오르고 있는 빅 데이터 환경의 보안위협을 분석하였다. 스마트 사회의 위협을 대비하고 있는 주요국 정책을 살펴보면, 미국의 경우 사회적 합의를 바탕으로한 감시와 통제를 강화하는 정책을 추진 중에 있으며 유럽의 5개국 EU5(영국, 독일, 프랑스, 스페인, 이탈리아)는 스마트폰 위협을 중심으로 공동 대응 방안을 마련하고 있다. 일본은 스마트 워크중심의 보안대책을 강구하고 있으며 호주는 스마트 사회 보안위협에 대한 국민의 인식제고에 주력하고 있다. 국내의 경우도 스마트 사회의 보안위협에 선제적 대응을 위하여 "스마트 모바일 시큐리티 종합계획"을 수립하여 추진중에 있다. 하지만 보안 실태를 보면 스마트 사회 보안위협에 대한 이용자들의 우려는 높은 반면 기업의 보안 대책 마련에 대한 투자는 여전히 미흡한 상황이다. 향후 우리 사회가 디바이스간 융합을 넘어 모든 사물이 연결되는 초(超)연결(Hyper-Connectivity) 시대로 진화되어 가면 편리성이 증대되는 만큼 더 많은 위협에 우리의 일상이 노출되는 문제가 발생하게 될 것이다. 안전한 미래 사회로 진입하기 위해서는 보다 체계적이고 종합적인 정보보호 정책마련이 필요하다. 본고에서는 이를 위한 정책수립의 방향을 제언했다.

  • Fast development of network technology and digitalization of various kinds of information are accelerating the convergence of between them. Accordingly, an environment for integrated service is needed, where users can be provided with various kinds of information such as voice, video, and text, using even different kinds of devices in heterogeneous networks for communication and broadcasting. In general, enablers integrate several functions to provide with various services in application layer based on IMS in BcN including even different kinds of networks. But in order to receiving convergence services, we must reason the environment of the user through the profiles of the networks and the devices and provide a suitable service to the user. In this paper, we will propose an efficient architecture and functions of a context-aware module which decides the appropriate services based on the profiles in the IMS enabler and its convergence service environments.

  • As areas of ICT devices expand due to development of fourth industry, Smart Jewelry is being released. Jewelry is not only a fashion tool to dress up the human body as it merges with the functional aspects of smart devices, but it also delivers the information needed to improve users' living conditions and the interaction of the information needed is likely to be expanded. Although wearable Jewelry is not widely popular with consumers due to its recognition that it is a Smartphone aid and technical limitations, it needs to be ultra-smallized and improved in design. By analyzing emotional types according to design, materials, and colors, focusing on the current wearable jewelry products, the company aims to contribute to enhancing the value of creative smart jewelry by thinking about how smart jewelry will stimulate people's emotions.

  • Due to the fourth industrial revolution called 'fusion and connection', interest in 'high connectivity society' and 'highland society' is increasing, and related objects are not limited to automation and connected cars. The Internet of Things is the main concern of the 4th Industrial Revolution and it is expected to play an important role in establishing the basis of the next generation mobile communication service. Several domestic and foreign companies have been studying various types of LPWANs for the construction of the Internet based on things, and there is Semtech's LoRaWAN technology as representative. LoRaWAN is a long-distance, low-power network designed to manage a large number of devices and sensors, with communications from hundreds to thousands to thousands of devices and sensors. In this paper, we analyze the optimum node capacity of gateway for maximum performance while reducing resource waste in using LoRaWAN.

  • Information from various heterogeneous devices is steadily increasing in distributed cloud environments. This is because high-speed network speeds and high-capacity multimedia data are being used. However, research is still underway on how to minimize information errors in big data sent and received by heterogeneous devices. In this paper, we propose a deep learning-based asymmetric storage management technique for minimizing bandwidth and data errors in networks generated by information sent and received in cloud environments. The proposed technique applies deep learning techniques to optimize the load balance after asymmetric hash of the big data information generated by each device. The proposed technique is characterized by allowing errors in big data collected from each device, while also ensuring the connectivity of big data by grouping big data into groups of clusters of dogs. In particular, the proposed technique minimizes information errors when storing and managing big data asymmetrically because it used a loss function that extracted similar values between big data as seeds.
