Equivalent Circuit Design of 2.4 GHz Band LTCC Bandpass Filters Using Multilayer Inter-Digital Resonators (적층 Inter-Digital 공진기를 이용한 2.4 GHz 대역 LTCC 대역통과 여파기의 등가회로 설계)

  • LTCC filters have been widely used to wireless terminals. They generally adopt the multilayer structure. Some of multilayer LTCC filters are made of symmetrical parallel-coupled lines and anti-symmetrical parallel-coupled lines to reduce the length of resonators. The equivalent circuit of parallel-coupled lines was analyzed and applied to bandpass filters using multilayer parallel-coupled line resonators. The three-pole bandpass filter with the center frequency of 2.45 GHz is designed by using the proposed equivalent circuit and the measured results have good agreement with the design results.

  • 본 논문에서는 대역통과 필터특성을 위해 통과대역의 상단과 하단의 저지대역에서 감쇄극을 갖는 두 종류의 새로운 마이크로스트립 구조를 제안한다. 이 구조는 TEM모드의 유전체 공진기를 마이크로스트립선로에 용량성 또는 유도성의 병렬 포스트와 연결하여 구성된다. 제안한 구조에 대한 등가회로를 추출하였다. 이 구조의 S-파라미터를 실험과 등가회로 시뮬레이션으로 구하였고, 그리고 유도성포스트의 경우는 3D-FDTD 계산을 추가하여 서로를 비교하였는데 등가회로 모델이 이들 결과와 매우 잘 일치하였다.

  • In CDMA system, the call admission control method using the variable effective bandwidth concept is employed in this paper. The bandwidth for a new call and a handoff call is allocated by considering the number of mobile station being served and dynamically assigned by taking account of the blocking rate of new calls and the dropping rate of handoff calls. There is reserved resource for handoff call. In the case radio resource is insufficient, a new call and a handoff call stand by in buffer for constant time. When radio resource come about, the waiting call is allocated the resource. I analyze the performance of system according to existence and nonexistence of buffer by a simulation study.

  • In CDMA system, the number of mobile stations which can be served simultaneously in a base station is limited by the amount of total interference received. Considering the facts, the call admission control method using the effective bandwidth concept is employed in this paper. The bandwidth for a new call and a handoff call is allocated by considering the number of mobile station being served and dynamically assigned by taking account of the blocking rate of new calls and the dropping rate of handoff calls. Also, there is reserved resource for handoff call. We analyze the performance of system according to reserved resource by a simulation study. The more a resource reserved, the less it is the dropping rate of handoff.

  • 전자파가 인체에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구중 SAR(Specific Absorption Ratio)에 관한연구는 매우 활발하게 이루어지고 있으나 단파(High Frequency)대역에 의한 인체유도전류에 대한 연구는 미흡한 편이다. 본 연구에서는 근거리장에서 단파대역 RFID 리더 안테나에 의한 인체에 유도되는 전류를 측정하고 이를 등가화 할 수 있는 수직교차루프 형태의 인체등가 모형을 제시하여 인체의 유도전류량과 비교하였다.

  • In this paper, a λ/4 hair-pin resonator is proposed to reduce the size of resonators. A LTCC MLC bandpass filter is designed using the λ/4 hair-pin resonators. The electromagnetic coupling structure between two planar resonators is analysed. The equivalent circuit is derived to explain the behavior of the LTCC MLC bandpass filter using λ/4 hair-pin resonators. A design procedure is also described. The simulated and measured results of 1.8 GHz band 2-pole bandpass filter are presented.

  • This paper presents a slot-shaped defected ground structure(DGS) which has multi-band rejection property. The proposed structure, in which the spiral slot-shaped defects with different size are aligned in the transverse direction to the guiding direction of the coplanar waveguide(CPW), provides multiple resonance frequencies. Compared with the simulated results, the band rejection characteristic is in good agreement with the measurement. Also, an equivalent circuit model of the proposed structure is presented, where the DGS on the ground plane is modeled as LC-resonators. This resonators are inductively coupled to the signal line through mutual inductance. From the equivalent circuit model, multi-band rejection property was derived.

  • In this paper, we analyse the performance of cellular system for call admission method considering to various service types. The call admission control method using the effective bandwidth concept is employed in this paper. In addition, the bandwidth for a new calls and a handover calls is allocated by taking account of the blocking rate of new calls and the dropping rate of handover calls. We reserved wireless resource and used waiting buffer for hanover calls. We simulated using computer for the performance analysis of system.

  • Rapid time variations of the mobile communication channel have a dramatic effect on the performance of multi-carrier modulation. This paper analyzed the bit error rate (BER) performance for multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) network, and derived the equivalent signal-to-total noise plus interference(SNIR) of MC-CDMA system in the reverse link, the performance of MC-CDMA/BPSK signal is evaluated taking into account the fraction of partial-band interference and interference power. and the effect of partial-band interference is comprehensively studied in order to further improve the Qos of multi-carrier multimedia system.

Design of Coupled-line Band-pass Filter Using New Equivalent Circuit of Tapped-line (탭 선로의 새로운 등가 회로를 이용한 결합 선로 대역 통과 필터 설계)

  • In this paper, the equivalent circuit of tapped-line that is applied in the feeding of the band-pass filter with high coupling is suggested and the value of an equivalent circuit is mathematically defined. An equivalent circuit of tapped-line is composed by open stub and additional transmission line, and the electrical lengths of stub and line can be obtained by the impedance of resonator and the inverter. The new equivalent circuit of tapped-line can be simply applied of design of band-pass filter and leads to very good agreement compared with theoretical value. The coupled-line band-pass filter using equivalent circuit of tapped-line shows the insertion loss of 1.97 dB and the return loss of 18.5 dB at the center frequency of 5.8 GHz.
