In this study, the skin-improving effect was investigated through the oral intake of DuOligo (51.67% lactulose and 15.8% galactooligosaccharides). Thirty seven healthy women (40~60 in ages) were divided into placebo group (dextrin) and treatment group (DuOligo group), and each group was given a sample for oral intake for 8 weeks. After that, corneometer value, transepidermal water loss (TEWL), melanin index, erythema index, and wrinkle index were measured. As a result, moisture content of DuOligo group increased 38.22% than control group after 8 weeks significantly (p < 0.01). The TEWL of control group decreased by $3.39g/h/m^2$ after 8 weeks but the TEWL of DuOligo group decreased by $5.32g/h/m^2$ after 8 weeks. The melanin index of the control group was significantly increased with times, but the melanin index of the DuOligo group did not show any significant difference with times. The total wrinkles, length of total wrinkles, number of wrinkles, and depth of wrinkles significantly decreased (p < 0.05) compared to the control group. These results suggested that the applicability of DuOligo as a skin improving functional material was confirmed.

The study area, Bophi Vum, Myanmar, is composed of the harzburgite, serpentinite and dunite, those are covered by Quaternary alluvium. The chromite ore bodies are developed within dunite and harzburgite bodies, mainly within dunite bodies. To identify the extension of the chromite ore bodies, we carried out trench surveys in the 5 different sites. The chromite ore bodies have 0.3-1.5 m wide, and several meters of extension, and deformed strongly as a sigmoid and a boudin shapes with dunite and harzburgite bodies by ductile deformation. The ductile deformation have a top-to-the-west shear sense, indicating the existence of a westward thrusting. The NW-SE trending distribution of ore bodies is related to the dextral ductile shearing and/or to the block rotation as a book-shelf structure by dextral strike-slip movement.

This study determined the effectiveness of Doula Touch delivery education on self-confidence delivery, knowledge of childbirth and couple satisfaction. The experimental group(n=27) received the Doula Touch education at the public health center in the Y city of Gyeonggi Province from October of 2012 to November of 2012(four weeks). However, the control group(n=28) received the antenatal care at a D hospital in the W city of the same province from October of 2012 to November of 2012, but did not receive the Doula Touch education. The following are the results derived from the study. The experimental group significantly showed more self-confidence for delivery than the control group(t=-2.81, p=.007). Besides, the experimental group significantly showed more knowledge of childbirth than the control group(t=3.50, p=.001) but there was no significant difference in couple satisfaction between two groups (t=0.23, p=.8181). On the other hand, the study showed a high correlation between self-confidence of delivery and couple satisfaction(r=314, p=.005).

In this paper, an implementation method for digital filters using the residue arithmetic is proposed. This method can be used for processing digital signals with larger number of bits by applying the idea of the bit-slice algorithm, while previous residue digital filters can process digital signals with only a small number of bits. Furthermore, high-speed residue addition, subtrac-tion, and multiplication using look-up tables make it possible to get more flexible filters. Everything that is mentioned above is proved by implementing a cascade fourth-order Butterworth lowpass digital filter using this method.

A new Phalaenopsis cultivar 'Little Dew' has been developed by a cross breeding and a line selection at the Flower Breeding Research Institute, Gyeongnam ARES from 2000 to 2007. Characteristics trials for this cultivar was carried out three times from 2004 to 2006. 'Little Dew' developed from a cross between Phal. 'Timothy Christopher' and Phal. amabilis showed white miniature type flowers and a multiflora shape. It has 3~4 flower stalks and many flowers, and long life span of flowers. This new cultivar was registered for commercialization in 2007 and would be cultured well in greenhouse conditions in Korea.

Purpose: In the treatment of Dupuytren's contracture, the aim of optical treatment is to lower the recurrence rate and reduce complications. This paper reports the results of subtotal fasciectomy in Dupuytren's contracture, extending the excision of palmar fascial structures from the diseased to normal appearing adjacent fascial structure. Materials and Methods: From 2007 to 2017, 45 patients with Dupuytren's contracture treated by subtotal fasciectomy were reviewed retrospectively. The mean follow-up period was 45.9 months. Ninety-two digits were involved (index: 2, middle: 10, ring: 44, little: 36). The predisposing factors and affected joint were reviewed and the preoperative and postoperative contracture was measured. For clinical results, quick disabilities of the arm, shoulder, and hand (quick DASH) were used. Complications, including wound or skin problems, nerve injuries, hematoma, and complex regional pain syndrome, were assessed. Results: Preoperative flexion contracture was 43.2° in the proximal interphalangeal joint and 32.9° in the metacarpophalangeal joint. In nine cases, patients had residual contracture of 9.7° (range, 5°-20°) on average and if the total number of cases were included, the mean residual contracture was 2.3° on average. The quick DASH score at the 12 months follow-up was 12.4. The overall complication rate was 26.6%. Conclusion: Subtotal fasciectomy can be a good surgical treatment option for Dupuytren's contracture with a low recurrence and low complication rate compared to other open procedures.
