Combining Conditional Generative Adversarial Network and Regression-based Calibration for Cloud Removal of Optical Imagery (광학 영상의 구름 제거를 위한 조건부 생성적 적대 신경망과 회귀 기반 보정의 결합)

  • Cloud removal is an essential image processing step for any task requiring time-series optical images, such as vegetation monitoring and change detection. This paper presents a two-stage cloud removal method that combines conditional generative adversarial networks (cGANs) with regression-based calibration to construct a cloud-free time-series optical image set. In the first stage, the cGANs generate initial prediction results using quantitative relationships between optical and synthetic aperture radar images. In the second stage, the relationships between the predicted results and the actual values in non-cloud areas are first quantified via random forest-based regression modeling and then used to calibrate the cGAN-based prediction results. The potential of the proposed method was evaluated from a cloud removal experiment using Sentinel-2 and COSMO-SkyMed images in the rice field cultivation area of Gimje. The cGAN model could effectively predict the reflectance values in the cloud-contaminated rice fields where severe changes in physical surface conditions happened. Moreover, the regression-based calibration in the second stage could improve the prediction accuracy, compared with a regression-based cloud removal method using a supplementary image that is temporally distant from the target image. These experimental results indicate that the proposed method can be effectively applied to restore cloud-contaminated areas when cloud-free optical images are unavailable for environmental monitoring.

  • 본 논문에서는 가장 최근의 동영상 표준인 H.264에서 가변 블록 움직임 예측 시 인접한 블록과의 상관성을 분석하여 병합 절차를 추가함으로써 매크로블록의 최종 모드를 결정하는 시간을 줄이기 위한 알고리즘을 제안한다. H.264에서는 매크로블록의 모드를 결정하기 위하여 총 7가지 모드를 사용하여 움직임 예측은 실시함으로써 부호화 효율을 극대화시킨 반면 이러한 움직임 예측이 부호화기의 복잡도를 높이는 주요 요인으로 현재 커다란 단점으로 지적되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 $8{\times}8$ 움직임 예측이 끝난 후 인접한 두 블록 사이의 거리론 임계값(Threshold)과 비교하여 다음 모드의 움직임 예측의 실시 여부를 먼저 절정함으로써 필요한 움직임 예측에 소비되는 시간을 단축시켰다. 여기서 실험 조건으로 명시하고 있는 것은 대표적인 단일모드 중에서 수행 성능이 가장 좋은 $8{\times}8$ 모드를 기본모드로 사용하고 병합 시 $16{\times}16$ 모드 쪽으로 상향식(bottom-up) 방법의 병합을 수행해 나아간다 모의실험을 통해 수행 성능과 전체 부호화 시간 측면을 본 논문에서 제안한 방법과 4가지 모드인 $16{\times}16,\;16{\times}8,\;8{\times}16,\;8{\times}8$ 모드를 모두 사용한 경우, $8{\times}8$ 단일모드를 사용한 경우를 비교하였다. 실험 결과 $8{\times}8$ 단일모드보다 수행 성능이 향상되었으며, 시간 단축 면에서 제안한 방법이 4가지 모드인 $16{\times}16,\;16{\times}8,\;8{\times}16,\;8{\times}8$ 모드를 모두 사용한 경우와 $8{\times}8$ 단일모드를 사용한 경우보다 계산 시간이 감소하였음을 확인하였다.행중인 MoIM-Messge서버의 네트워크 모듈로 다중 쓰레드 소켓폴링 모델을 적용하였다.n rate compared with conventional face recognition algorithms. 아니라 실내에서도 발생하고 있었다. 정량한 8개 화합물 각각과 총 휘발성 유기화합물의 스피어만 상관계수는 벤젠을 제외하고는 모두 유의하였다. 이중 톨루엔과 크실렌은 총 휘발성 유기화합물과 좋은 상관성 (톨루엔 0.76, 크실렌, 0.87)을 나타내었다. 이 연구는 톨루엔과 크실렌이 총 휘발성 유기화합물의 좋은 지표를 사용될 있고, 톨루엔, 에틸벤젠, 크실렌 등 많은 휘발성 유기화합물의 발생원은 실외뿐 아니라 실내에도 있음을 나타내고 있다.>10)의 $[^{18}F]F_2$를 얻었다. 결론: $^{18}O(p,n)^{18}F$ 핵반응을 이용하여 친전자성 방사성동위원소 $[^{18}F]F_2$를 생산하였다. 표적 챔버는 알루미늄으로 제작하였으며 본 연구에서 연구된 $[^{18}F]F_2$가스는 친핵성 치환반응으로 방사성동위원소를 도입하기 어려운 다양한 방사성의 약품개발에 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것이다.었으나 움직임 보정 후 영상을 이용하여 비교한 경우, 결합능 변화가 선조체 영역에서 국한되어 나타나며 그 유의성이 움직임 보정 전에 비하여 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 결론: 뇌활성화 과제 수행시에 동반되는 피험자의 머리 움직임에 의하여 도파민 유리가 과대평가되었으며 이는 이 연구에서 제안한 영상정합을 이용한 움직임 보정기법에 의해서 개선되었다. 답이 없는 문제, 문제 만들기, 일반화가 가능한 문제 등으로 보고, 수학적 창의성 중 특히 확산적 사고에 초점을 맞추어 개방형 문제가 확산적 사고의 요소인 유창성, 독창성, 유연성 등에 각각 어떤 영향을 미치는지 20주의 프로그램을 개발, 진행하여 그 효과를 검증하고자 한다. 개방형 문

Measurement and Comparative Analysis of Propagation Characteristics in 3, 6, 10, and 17 GHz in Two Different Indoor Corridors (두 가지 서로 다른 실내 복도에서 3, 6, 10, 17 GHz의 전파 특성 측정 및 비교 분석)

  • Propagation characteristics in line-of-sight(LOS) paths in 3, 6, 10, and 17 GHz frequency bands were measured and analyzed in two different indoor corridors: second floors of Buildings D2 and E2. The measurement was designed to measure when the receiving antenna moved at 0.5 m intervals from 3 m to 30 m, while the transmission antenna was fixed. The analysis of the two indoor corridors was compared by applying basic transmission loss, root mean square (RMS) delay spread, and K-factor. For basic transmission loss, the loss coefficient of the floating intercept path loss model was higher in the indoor corridor of Building E2 than in that of Building D2. Similarly, the RMS delay spread in the time domain was greater in the indoor corridor of Building E2. However, the indoor corridor of Building D2 exhibited higher K-factor in the 3, 6, and 17 GHz bands with lower wave propagation in the 10 GHz band. Despite the 2 indoor corridors being identical, the propagation characteristics varied due to different internal structures and materials. The results provide measurement data for ITU-R Recommendations regarding various indoor environments.

  • 본 논문은 얼굴 인식 또는 표정 인식 분야에 있어서 중요한 특징을 나타내는 얼굴과 얼굴의 주요소인 눈과 입, 눈썹의 영역 추출 및 그의 윤곽선·추출에 관한 방법을 제시한다. 얼굴요소의 영역 추출은 엣지 정보와 이진화 영상을 병합하여 이용한 프로젝션 분석을 통하여 얼굴 및 각 얼굴요소를 포함하는 최소포함사각형(MER: Minimum Enclosing Rectangle)을 추출하였다. 얼굴 영상에 관련된 윤곽선 연구에는 가변 템플릿(Deformable Template), 스네이크(Snakes: Active Contour Model)를 이용하는 연구들이 이루어지고 있는데 가변 템플릿 방법은 수행시간이 느리고 추출된 윤곽선의 모양이 획일 된 모양을 갖는 특성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 사람마다 얼굴요소의 모양의 개인차가 반영되고 빠른 수렴을 할 수 있는 스네이크 모델을 정의하여 눈, 입, 눈썹, 얼굴의 윤곽선 추출 실험을 하였다. 또한 스네이크는 초기 윤곽선의 설정이 윤곽선의 추출 곁과에 큰 영향을 미치므로, 초기 윤곽선의 설정 과정이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 얼굴 및 각 얼굴요소를 포함하는 각각의 최소 포함 사각형(MER)을 추출하고, 이 추출된 MER 내에서 얼굴 및 각 얼굴요소의 일반적인 모양을 초기 윤곽선으로 설정하는 방법을 사용하였다. 실험결과 눈, 입, 얼굴의 MER의 추출은 모두 성공하였고, 눈썹이 흐린 사람들의 경우에만 눈썹의 MER추출이 졸지 않았다. 추출된 MER을 기반으로 하여 스네이크 모델을 적용한 결과, 눈, 입, 눈썹, 얼굴의 다양한 모양을 반영한 윤곽선 추출 결과를 보였다. 특히 눈의 경우는 1차 유도 엣지 연산자에 의한 엣지 와 2차 유도 연산자를 이용한 영점 교차점(Zero Crossing)과 병합한 에너지 함수를 설정하여 보다 더 나은 윤곽선 추출 결과를 보였다. 얼굴의 윤곽선의 경우도 엣지 값과 명도 값을 병합한 에너지 함수에 의해 비교적 정확한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.잘 동작하였다.되는 데이타를 입력한후 마우스로 원하는 작업의 메뉴를 선택하면 된다. 방법을 타액과 혈청내 testosterone 농도 측정에 응용하여 RIA의 결과와 비교하여 본 바 상관관계가 타액에서 r=0.969, 혈청에서 r=0.990으로 두 결과가 잘 일치하였다. 본 실험에서 측정된 한국인 여성의 타액내 testosterone농도는 107.7$\pm$12.0 pmol/l이었고, 남성의 타액내 농도는 274.2$\pm$22.1 pmol/l이었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 본 연구에서 정립된 EIA 방법은 RIA를 대신하여 소규모의 실험실에서도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사려된다.또한 상실기 이후 배아에서 합성되며, 발생시기에 따라 그 영향이 다르고 팽창과 부화에 관여하는 것으로 사료된다. 더욱이, 조선의 ${\ulcorner}$구성교육${\lrcorner}$이 조선총독부의 관리하에서 실행되었다는 것을, 당시의 사범학교를 중심으로 한 교육조직을 기술한 문헌에 의해 규명시켰다.nd of letter design which represents -natural objects and was popular at the time of Yukjo Dynasty, and there are some documents of that period left both in Japan and Korea.   • With the structure of tilde-area computing system which Is specified by a researching team in Vrije University, Netherlands, lots of researchers and developers have been progressing the studies of global location and interconnection services of distributed objects existing in global sites. Most of them halve focused on binding services of only non-duplicated computational objects existing wide-area computing sites without any consideration of duplication problems. But all of objects existing on the earth rave the duplicated characteristics according to how to categorize their own names or properties. These objects with the same property can define as duplicated computational objects. Up to now, the existing naming or trading mechanism has not supported the binding services of duplicated objects, because of deficiency of independent location service. For this reason, we suggest a new model that can not only manages locations of duplicated objects In wide-area computing environments, but also provide minimum binding time by considering both the optimal selection of one of duplicated objects and load balance among distributed systems. Our model is functionally divided into 2 parts, one part to obtain an unique object handle of duplicated objects with same property as a naming and trading service, and the other to search one or more contact addresses by a node manager using a liven object handle, as a location service For location transparency, these services are independently executing each other. Based on our model, we described structure of wide-area integrated tree and algorithms for searching and updating contact address of distributed object on this tree. finally, we showed a federation structure that can globally bind distributed objects located on different regions from an arbitrary client object.

Corrosion Monitoring of Reinforcing Bars in Cement Mortar Exposed to Seawater Immersion-and-dry Cycles (해수침지-건조 환경에 노출된 모르타르속 철근의 부식속도 평가)

  • The primary purposes of this study are to understand a fundamental aspect of current uniformity around a reinforcing bar (rebar) in cement mortar, and to develop an accurate monitoring method in a wet-dry cycling process with the alternative current (AC) impedance method. Three cement mortar specimens with two embedded rebars were prepared in the laboratory. As a main variable, the distance between two rebars was designed to be 10, 20 and 30 mm with the same thickness of 20 mm. To simulate the corrosion of rebars in concrete structures in a marine environment, three cement mortar specimens were exposed to 15 wet-drying cycles (24-hour-immersion in seawater and 48-hour-drying in a room temperature) in the laboratory. It was observed that the potential level shifted to a noble value during corrosion potential monitoring, which is attributed to acceleration of dissolved oxygen diffusion at the drying process. AC impedance was measured in a frequency range from 100 kHz to 1 mHz on a wet-drying process. A theoretical model was proposed to explain the interface condition between the rebars and cement mortar by using the equivalent circuit consisting of a solution resistance, a charge transfer resistance and a CPE (constant phase element). It was observed that the diffusion impedance appeared in a low frequency range as corrosion of rebars progresses. At the drying stage of the wet-drying cycles, the currents line for monitoring tended to be non-uniform at the interface of rebar/mortar, being phase shift, ${\theta}$, close to $-45^{\circ}$.

A Study for Generation of Artificial Lunar Topography Image Dataset Using a Deep Learning Based Style Transfer Technique (딥러닝 기반 스타일 변환 기법을 활용한 인공 달 지형 영상 데이터 생성 방안에 관한 연구)

  • The lunar exploration autonomous vehicle operates based on the lunar topography information obtained from real-time image characterization. For highly accurate topography characterization, a large number of training images with various background conditions are required. Since the real lunar topography images are difficult to obtain, it should be helpful to be able to generate mimic lunar image data artificially on the basis of the planetary analogs site images and real lunar images available. In this study, we aim to artificially create lunar topography images by using the location information-based style transfer algorithm known as Wavelet Correct Transform (WCT2). We conducted comparative experiments using lunar analog site images and real lunar topography images taken during China's and America's lunar-exploring projects (i.e., Chang'e and Apollo) to assess the efficacy of our suggested approach. The results show that the proposed techniques can create realistic images, which preserve the topography information of the analog site image while still showing the same condition as an image taken on lunar surface. The proposed algorithm also outperforms a conventional algorithm, Deep Photo Style Transfer (DPST) in terms of temporal and visual aspects. For future work, we intend to use the generated styled image data in combination with real image data for training lunar topography objects to be applied for topographic detection and segmentation. It is expected that this approach can significantly improve the performance of detection and segmentation models on real lunar topography images.

Growth of Metal Nano-Particles on Polarity Patterned Ferroelectrics by Photochemical Reaction (광화학적 반응을 이용한 편극 패턴된 강유전체 표면에 금속 나노입자의 증착에 관한 연구)

  • We report the surface distribution of metal (Ag, Au) nanoparticles grown on polarity-patterned ferroelectric substrates by photochemical reaction. Single crystal periodically polarity-patterned $LiNbO_3$(PPLN) was used as a ferroelectric substrate. The nanoparticles were grown by ultra-violet (UV) light exposure of the PPLN in the aqueous solutions including metas. The surface distribution of the grown nanoparticles were measured by atomic force microscopy and identification of the orientation of the polarity of the ferroelectric surface was performed by piezoelectric force microscopy. The Ag- and Au-nanoparticles grown on +z polarity regions are larger and denser than that on -z polarity regions. In particlur, the largest and denser Ag-nanoparticles were grwon on the polarity boundary regions of the PPLN while Au-nanoparticles were not specifically grown on the boundary regions. Thus, we found that the size and position of metal nanoparticles grown on ferroelectric surfaces can be controlled by UV-exposure time and polarity pattern structures. Also, we discuss the difference of the surface distribution of the metal nano-particles depending on the polarity of the ferroelectric surfaces in terms of surface band structures, reduced work fucntion, and inhomogeneous electric field distribution.

COMPARISON OF FLUX AND RESIDENT CONCENTRATION BREAKTHROUGH CURVES IN STRUCTURED SOIL COLUMNS (구조토양에서의 침출수와 잔존수농도의 파과곡선에 관한 비교연구)

  • In many solute transport studies, either flux or resident concentration has been used. Choice of the concentration mode was dependent on the monitoring device in solute displacement experiments. It has been accepted that no priority exists in the selection of concentration mode in the study of solute transport. It would be questionable, however, to accept the equivalency in the solute transport parameters between flux and resident concentrations in structured soils exhibiting preferential movement of solute. In this study, we investigate how they differ in the monitored breakthrough curves (BTCs) and transport parameters for a given boundary and flow condition by performing solute displacement experiments on a number of undisturbed soil columns. Both flux and resident concentrations have been simultaneously obtained by monitoring the effluent and resistance of the horizontally-positioned TDR probes. Two different solute transport models namely, convection-dispersion equation (CDE) and convective lognormal transfer function (CLT) models, were fitted to the observed breakthrough data in order to quantify the difference between two concentration modes. The study reveals that soil columns having relatively high flux densities exhibited great differences in the degree of peak concentration and travel time of peak between flux and resident concentrations. The peak concentration in flux mode was several times higher than that in resident one. Accordingly, the estimated parameters of flux mode differed greatly from those of resident mode and the difference was more pronounced in CDE than CLT model. Especially in CDE model, the parameters of flux mode were much higher than those of resident mode. This was mainly due to the bypassing of solute through soil macropores and failure of the equilibrium CDE model to adequate description of solute transport in studied soils. In the domain of the relationship between the ratio of hydrodynamic dispersion to molecular diffusion and the peclet number, both concentrations fall on a zone of predominant mechanical dispersion. However, it appears that more molecular diffusion contributes to the solute spreading in the matrix region than the macropore region due to the nonliearity present in the pore water velocity and dispersion coefficient relationship.

Interactive Scheduling System for Distributed Constraint Satisfaction Problem (분산 제약조건 만족 문제에 있어서의 대화형 스케줄링시스템)

  • Finding a solution to a constraint satisfaction problem requires choosing values for variables so as to satisfy the constraints of the problem. A constraint is simply a logical relation among several unknowns (or variables), each taking a value in a given domain. Conventional constraint-based scheduling systems are not enough to satisfy the all constraints because there are conflicts between them. In this paper, we propose a method for interactive scheduling, which have two major problems: first, it is hard to satisfy concretely all various kinds of constraints, and second, the search space is extremely large and requires a long execution time. To solve the above problems, we introduce the Interactive Scheduling System (ISS) that interacts with the user to exchange suggestions each other. Our system is performed in two steps: knowledge base generation of an initial assignment and iterative improvement with the user(host or internet client) to satisfy the constraints. Applying our system, we actually constructed timetables for our university, where the scheduling time is considerably reduced.
