A Study on the Hierarchical Structure of Color Sensibility (색채 감성의 위계 구조에 대한 탐구)

  • Previous studies, while investigating factors of sensibility, had rarely considered its internal structure. This study hypothesized that sensibility had sensational aspects and emotional aspects and the former corresponded to objective adjectives, describing attributes of objects, and the latter to subjective adjectives, describing psychology of experiencers. Forty-three objective adjectives and 21 subjective adjectives describing color sensibility were selected both by a linguistic criterion and an empirical evaluation. Factor analysis on semantic differential responses to these two groups of adjectives resulted in 5 sensational factors and 3 emotional factors of color sensibility respectively. Hierarchical structure was derived by regressing emotional factor scores on sensational factor scores. In consequence, emotional aspects were interpreted by different combinations of sensational factors. Limitations and significance of this study were discussed.

  • 얼굴에 대한 시각적 인지는 오랫동안 인간에게 중요한 문제로 인식되어 왔다. 수 세기 동안 이루어져 왔던 미용 화장과 성형, 치아 교정 등의 다양한 연구는 사람의 얼굴을 감성적 측면에서 어떻게 하면 아름답게 만들 수 있는 가에 초점을 두었다. 본 논문에서는 휴먼 입출력 인터페이스로서 햅틱 장치와 스테레오 디스플레이를 혼합한 다중 감각 인터랙션 기반의 감성적인 3차원 얼굴 메이크업 시뮬레이션 프레임워크를 개발한다. 본 연구는 3차원 스캐너 장비로부터 사용자의 얼굴 모델을 추출하고, 그 데이터를 이용하여 자연스럽고 직관적인 얼굴 메이크업 시뮬레이션을 수행하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 surface elements 표현 기반의 3차원 얼굴 필터링 방법과 얼굴 메이크업을 지원하는 페인팅 방법을 개발한다. 우선 사용자의 얼굴 모델을 3차원 스캐너로 획득한 후, 전처리 얼굴 필터링을 수행하여 조명, 그리고 사용자 얼굴 피부 상태에 기인하는 에러 및 속성들을 보정하고 피부 톤을 사용자가 선호하는 색으로 변경한다. 최종적으로 사용자는 햅틱 및 스테레오 디스플레이 장치를 이용하여 두 개의 레이어로 구성된 페인팅 표면 모델에 메이크업을 수행한다. 본 연구에서 적용한 surface elements 표현 기반의 그래픽 렌더링은 일반적인 메쉬 기반 페인팅의 문제점인 텍스쳐 왜곡 현상을 완화하고, 3차원 스캐너 장치에 기인하는 표면 에러를 보정한다. 그리고 전처리 얼굴 필터링과 메이크업 페인팅 방법은 사용자 중심의 감성적인 3차원 얼굴을 재구성하도록 한다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 개발한 이러한 기술들이 다중 감각 인터페이스 기반의 메이크업 시뮬레이터의 기본 프레임워크가 되어, 차후 메이크업이나 코디네이션 분야 등의 디지털 콘텐츠 산업에서 활용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 에너지 절약차원에서 냉방을 줄여 지구온난화 방지에 일조하고자 여름철에 가벼운 차림의 의복을 권장하는 쿨비즈 캠페인이 시작되었으나 이의 정량적인 효과를 분석하는 연구가 미흡하였다. 본 연구에서는 여름철 온실가스 줄이기 및 직장인 등의 건강증진 등을 위하여 기후복장 적응형에 대한 범국민 인식 및 실천 필요를 바탕으로, 실험을 통해 쿨비즈에 의한 생리적 반응 측정 및 주관적 감각평가를 실시하였다. 1 차실험은 두 복장(전통의복,기후의복)의 피부온 측정실험으로, 환경온 25, $27^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 50% RH 에서 20 대 성인남성 4 명을 대상으로 실험을 하였다. 피험자는 심신을 안정할 수 있도록 30 분간의 안정기를 가진 후에 60 분 동안 실험을 하였으며, 사무실 내 작업환경과 같은 분위기 조성을 위해 편안하게 의자에 앉아 가벼운 대화나 컴퓨터 워드작업 및 설문을 응할 수 있도록 피험자 앞 책상 위에는 노트북을 설치해 두었고, 실험 진행기간 동안 피부온, 직장온, 습도, 발한량, 열화상 카메라, 온열감, 습윤감, 쾌적감 등과 같은 주관적 감각을 측정하였다. 2 차 실험은 동일 피부온 발현하는 환경온 찾기로 기준온도($27^{\circ}C$)에서 전통복장을 입고 온도를 점진적으로 하강시키면서 $27^{\circ}C$ 기후 복장을 입은 상태의 피부온도와 동일해지는 실내온도를 측정한다. 착의 형태에 따른 피부온도 변화에서 환경온도 $25^{\circ}C$ 전통의복 기후의복에 의한 피부온도의 차이는 전통의복이 최소 0.3~최대 $1.6^{\circ}C$ 더 높게 나타났으며, 환경온도 $27^{\circ}C$에서 전통의복 기후의복에 의한 피부온도의 차이는 대체적으로 전통의복이 최소 0.4~최대 $1.0^{\circ}C$ 더 높게 나타났다. 주관적 감각평가에서도 기후의복보다 전통의복에서 온열감 습윤감 불쾌감이 더 높은 경향을 보였다. 주관적 감각으로는 $25^{\circ}C$ 전통의복과 $27^{\circ}C$ 기후의복에서 중립적인 느낌을 나타냈다.

A Study of Test-Retest Reliability and Interrater Reliability of the Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C) (아동감각처리척도(Sensory Processing Scale for Children; SPS-C)의 검사-재검사 신뢰도와 검사자간 신뢰도 연구)

  • Objective : This study examined the test-retest reliability and interrater reliability of the Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C). Method : Senventy primary caregivers of children with sensory processing difficulties and 3 years old participated in the study. The subjects were recruited through child development centers, welfare centers, and acquaintances located in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Busan, and Gyeongsang-do. The test-retest reliability verification targeted 20 main caregivers of children with difficulty in sensory processing. Re-evaluation was performed within 7 to 14 days after the initial evaluation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to confirm the relevance between the two time points, and the Intraclass correlation coefficient was used to confirm the degree of agreement. The interrater reliability verification was conducted with 18 primary caregivers and 18 subsidiary caregivers of children with sensory processing difficulties. Each caregiver evaluated the same child, and the Intraclass correlation coefficient was used to confirm the agreement between the two sets of caregivers. Results : The test-retest reliability was Pearson's correlation coefficient r=.914 and intraclass correlation coefficient ICC=.939, indicating a high level of relevance and agreement. The interrater reliability was an Intraclass correlation coefficient ICC=.727, which showed a moderate level of agreement, but the tactile area (ICC=.455) and proprioceptive area (ICC=.439) were not statistically significant and showed a low degree of agreement. Conclusion : Through this study, it was confirmed that the children's Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C) is a stable evaluation tool with test-retest reliability and interrater reliability verified, and it will be able to provide help in standardization studies for future clinical use.

A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Sensory Integration Intervention Studies in Children with Cerebral Palsy (뇌성마비 아동의 감각통합 중재 연구에 대한 체계적 고찰과 메타분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate evidence-based practice (EBP) for sensory integration (SI) intervention in children with cerebral palsy (CP) through a systematic review and meta analysis. The screening strategy was performed to select studies for analysis after that, a meta-analysis was implemented for calculating the effect size (ES) in group studies. Twenty-four studies were included for a systematic review and included seven case reports, three single-subject designs, and fourteen group experimental design studies(three randomized controlled trials, three two groups nonrandomized studies, and six one group nonrandomized studies). The ES of the experimental group studies was moderate size of 0.272. The results of the ES according to the dependent variables, the ES was the largest in the fine motor development. The effect size of the published papers was greater than the unpublished paper's and two groups nonrandomized studies' size effect was the largest in the design. The ES of the infants was larger than the children. The ES for a period of 8 weeks, the number of five times a week, and time in 90 minutes showed the biggest in SI program. Although the ES of SI intervention in children with CP showed moderate effect, accumulation of research well be needed.

A study on the Interaction of Immersive Contents Focusing on the National Museum of Korea Immersive Digital Gallery and Arte Museum Jeju (실감콘텐츠의 인터랙션 연구 -국립중앙박물관 디지털실감영상관과 아르떼뮤지엄제주를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive interaction types that appear variously in immersive contents through John Dewey's empirical theory, and to explore how the derived types are delivered in real cases. For this reason, two cases of the National Museum of Korea 'Immersive Digital Gallery' and 'Arte Museum Jeju' were analyzed through interaction types derived from the empirical theory. The interaction types derived based on the experience theory are the elements of 'multi-sensory', 'simultaneous experience' and 'sensory expansion'. In both cases, these types appear connected rather than grafted one by one in common. In one direction, 'multi-sensory' leads to 'sensory expansion', and in two directions, 'simultaneous experience' leads to 'sensory expansion'. As such, the core types of communication between technology and humans are not delivered one by one, but a cycle of interaction is formed in multiple ways. Therefore, it can be seen that the interaction type of immersive contents is expanded step by step by fusion of various senses and experiences in various fields, rather than a 1:1 partial delivery method. Based on this, it will be necessary to study how types are expanded and how viewers are affected when interaction is implemented in immersive contents in the future.

Study of Validity and Reliability of the Korean Translation Version of the Sensory Processing and Self-Regulation Checklist (SPSRC) (한글판 감각처리 및 자기조절 체크리스트(SPSRC)의 타당도와 신뢰도 연구)

  • Objective : This study aims to verify the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the Sensory Processing and Self-Regulation Checklist (SPSRC) for children with and without autism spectrum disorder. Methods : The Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient was calculated using Short Sensory Profile (SSP) to verify concurrent validity. Construct validity was verified by comparing the sensory processing ability and self-regulation ability of the two groups. Cronbach's α was calculated in the case of internal consistency for reliability verification, and the test-retest reliability was verified through the Pearson correlation coefficient. Results : Based on the verification of the concurrent validity, the Korean version of SPSRC and SSP showed a statistically significant correlation (p < 0.01). The construct validity was found to have a statistically significant difference between the two groups in the area and sub-items of the Korean version of SPSRC (p < 0.001). For the internal consistency, Cronbach's α ranged from 0.700 to 0.975. The test-retest reliability showed that the correlation coefficient ranged from 0.937 to 0.997. Conclusion : The Korean version of SPSRC was confirmed to be an evaluation tool with high validity and reliability. It is expected to be used as an evaluation tool for planning treatment goals in clinical trials and as a meaningful basis for future research.

Ultrastructure of Antennal Sensilla on American leafminer, Liriomhyza trifolii (Diptera: Agromyzidae) (아메리카잎굴파리(Liriomyza trifolii) 촉각에 분포하는 감각기의 외부미세구조 및 형태적 특징)

  • The antennal receptors of the adult male and female of the American leafminer, Liriomyza trifolii (Diptera: Agromyzidae) was studied using the scanning electron microscopy. This antennal receptors were developed to accept the chemical or mechanical signal in the environment. The antennae of L. trifolii is 317.52 $\mu$m long and composed of the scape, pedicel, funicle, arista. Antennae located between compounds eye on the middle in the head. The result of SEM observation, four types of receptors were characterized and grouped into morphological classes: Trichoid, Basiconic, Coeloconic, Chetiform sensilla. Trichoid sensilla are located on the all segment. As a rule, female is more than male. This sensilla are long and slender hair with straight or slightly curved, and taper to a sharp point apically. Basiconic sensilla are observed only on the funicle. The number of basiconic sensilla in male and female are almost same in both sexes. This sensilla are long and thick hair with stright or slightly curved, and taper to a blunt point apically. Coeloconic sensilla are observed only on the funicle. This sensilla were showed a finger-like projections the peg apex. The number of basiconic sensilla in male and female are almost same in both sexes. Chetifarm sensilla are located on the all segment. This sensilla are needle-like, tapering sharply. Pedicel are more than scape. The number of Chetiform sensilla in male and female are almost same in both sexes.

The effect of balance improvement on balance training with visual feedback and somatosensory (시각 되먹임을 이용한 균형 훈련과 체성감각을 이용한 균형훈련이 균형 향상에 미치는 영향)

  • Our country is already in the aging corner and fall down is the elderly personal, social and economic problems are causing. therefore, executed this study for inquiring into an athletic effect for the balance ability increase that was a main variable of an fall down. The purpose of this study, to find the effect of balance training using visual feedback and somatosensory. Experimental group divided the three groups, objects measured balance ability of each experimental groups before experiment, the balance exercise group used visual feedback by Nintendo Wii(company - model), the balance exercise group used visual and TOGU, the balance exercise group used blind and TOGU. 4 experimental of each groups measured MFT and EMG value after training. having rest time, 4 experimental of each groups measured MFT and EMG value after training used balance pad. MFT - visual feedback with somatosensory training is most efficient but, indifferent both balance training with visual feedback and balance training with somatosensory. EMG - training with somatosensory is more efficient than training with visual feedback. Conclusion : in the process of improving equilibrium ability of patient who is lack of balance ability, somatosensory training is effective to correct different of left, right and frequency of left, right. visual feedback is the most effective way to improve dynamic balance sensory, so parallel of these two practice is thought to be the most effective.

Nonlinearity in the Somatosensory Cortex Response to Vibrotactile Stimulator in fMRI (기능성 자기공명영상에서 진동자극에 대한 감각피질의 비선형성)

  • The nonlinearity of hemodynamic response in the somatosensory cortex was investigated with vibrotactile stimulation. The stimuli consisted of a train of 25 Hz, each tasting five different duration periods, 2 s, 4 s, 8 s 12 s, or 16 s with 20 sec periods of no vibration in a pseudo-random order. In order to understand the linearity on the change of stimulus duration for somatosensory cortex, two different tests- checking the linearity of system and finding the impulse response function from gamma-variate function were applied to analyze the hemodynamic response functions. They have produced nearly same results. The BOLD response in the somatosensory cortex Is nonlinear for stimuli of less than 8 seconds, but nearly linear for stimuli greater than 8 seconds. The amplitude, area, TTP, and FWHM as functions of the stimulus duration were calculated and showed a significant downward trend with Increasing stimulus duration for the amplitude and the area. It supports the ranges of nonlinearity are less than 8 seconds.
