A Study on the Analysis of Dynamic Characteristics of the Solenoid Valve of Automatic Transmission (A/T용 솔레노이드 밸브의 동특성 해석에 관한 연구)

  • To reduce the shock in shifting, the clutches and the brakes in automatic transmission have to be connected smoothly and disconnected rapidly. It is PCSV(Pressure Control Solenoid Valve) that paly this role of automatic transmission. In this paper, there were two steps in the analysis of the PCSV. The first step was modeling the elctromagnet by the permeance method. The second step was modeling the hydraulic circuit by the pressure differential equa- tion. In addition to this modeling, a experiment was performed and the commercial package program was used in order to justify modeling. The result of modeling coincide with the result of experiment and commercial package program. As a result, this modeling is usable in analysis of dynamic characteristics of the PCSV.

Comparison of Ocean Optical Properties Between the Micronesia and the Korean Peninsula (남태평양 마이크로네시아와 한반도 주변 해역의 해수 광학특성 비교)

  • This study attempted to understand seawater characteristics like chlorophyll concentration (CHL), total suspended matter concentration (TSM), absorption characteristics, and remote sensing reflectance around Weno Island, Micronesia, located in the South Pacific Ocean near the equator. 50 in-situ measurement from May to June 2013 were analyzed and compared with data from around Korean peninsula. CHL around Weno Island was 0.11-0.49 mg/m3 (average 0.26 mg/m3), and TSM was 0.03-0.31 g/m3, (average 0.16 g/m3), showing typical clear water characteristics. Absorption coefficient of total suspended matters at 443 nm showed over 0.5 times less than that from East Sea and the slope of absorption coefficient spectrum of dissolved organic matter showed much larger than that of Korean peninsula, indicating the concentration of organic matter is very low and dissolved organic matter of marine origin is considered to be the main component in the study area. As a result of comparing the remote sensing reflectance spectrum with that of coastal waters around the Korean peninsula, coastal waters around Weno Island showed typical CASE-1 water properties. It was possible to understand the marine optical characteristics of coral reef habitats in tropical waters, and it can be used to develop seawater algorithms specialized in the study area.

Analysis on the Lateral Stiffness of Coil Spring for Railway Vehicle (철도차량용 코일스프링 횡강성 해석)

  • In constructing the multi-body dynamics model to analyze the behavior of the railway vehicle, it is very important to understand the properties of the suspension elements that constitute the suspension system. Among them, coil springs, which are mainly used in primary and secondary suspension systems, clearly show the axial stiffness in the drawings, but the lateral properties of the coil springs are not specified clearly, making it difficult to construct a dynamic analysis model. Therefore, in this paper, the model for analyzing the lateral stiffness of the coil spring is examined. A finite element method was applied to analyze the lateral stiffness of the coil spring and numerical analysis was performed by applying the coil spring lateral stiffness analysis model proposed by Krettek and Sobczak. And the test to analyze the lateral stiffness of coil spring was conducted. As a result of comparing with the test results, it was found that the results obtained by applying the lateral stiffness analysis model of Krettek and Sobczak and correcting the correction coefficient are similar to those of the test results.

  • 동해 38도 10분N, 132도 00분E(site 1)과 38도 01분N, 132도 53분E(site2)에서 저주파수를 이용한 해상실험자료를 이용하여 해저면 음파반사 특성을 파악하였다. 음원으로는 한국해양연구소 온누리호에 장착되어 있는 총 11.31l의 부피를 가지는 에어건 array를 사용하였고 수신장치로는 총 56채널로 이루어진 아날로그 스트리머를 사용하였으며, 각 실험위치에서 3번씩 신호를 수신하였다. 관측해역에 대해 eigenray 모델을 이용하여 에어건에서부터 각 채널까지의 eigenray 정보를 파악한 후 해저면 반사계수를 산출하여 Rayleigh reflection 모델과 비교하였다. 비교 결과 Rayleigh reflection 모델은 해저면 반사 손실과 부합하는 것으로 나타났다.

Retrieval of Key-frames using Wavelet Transform (Wavelet Transform을 이용한 Key-frame 검색)

  • 본 논문에서는 동영상 데이터베이스에서 Key-frame을 검색하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 Key-frame을 검색하기위해 컬러 피쳐를 공간영역에서 추출하지 않고 wavelet transform 영역에서 컬러 피쳐를 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. wavelet transform 의 저주파 밴드는 영상전체의 특징을 잘 나타내고 고주파 밴드는 texture 와 국부적인 컬러 특성을 잘 나타낸다. 색인과정 알고리즘은 영상의 크기를 정규화하고 RGB 컬러공간에서 HSV 컬러 공간으로 변환을 하여, H, S, V 각 채널에 대해 Daubechies' wavelet transform을 수행한 후 변환 영역에서 피쳐를 추출하게 된다. 색인을 위한 피쳐로 wavelet 계수와 lowest 밴드의 평균과 표준편차를 추출하였다. 효율적인 검색을 위해 검색은 2단계로 수행된다. 먼저 평균과 표준편차만을 이용한 1차 검색을 통해 2차 검색의 후보 영상들을 추출하고 2차 검색에서는 1차 검색 통과 영상들에 대해서만 wavelet 계수들을 비교하여 최종 검색 결과를 얻게 된다. 검색결과 기존의 컬러 피쳐를 이용한 방법보다 우수한 검색결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Evaluation of Heat Transfer Enhancement Performance for Wire Coil Inserts in Horizontal Smooth Tubes (수평 평활관 내부에 삽입한 와이어코일 인서트에 대한 전열성능평가)

  • 본 연구는 다양한 각도를 가지는 와이어코일을 사용하여 관내 단상 열전달 촉진 및 압력강하 특성 실험을 수행하였다. 작동유체는 순수 물과 에틸렌글리콜을 체적비율로 50% 혼합하여 사용하였으며, 시험부 관지름은 11mm와 13.88mm이고, 시험부 길이는 760mm를 사용하였다. 평활관과 와이어코일을 삽입한 열전달촉진관에 대한 관내 열전달계수와 마찰계수는 실험에서 측정한 온도, 유량, 압력강하 값을 기초로 구하였다. 와이어코일에 대한 거친표면해석을 수행하였으며, 그 결과를 거칠기 래이놀즈수에 대한 운동량전송 거칠기함수와 열전달 거칠기함수로 표현하였으며 이에 대한 상관식을 제시하였다. 이 상관식들은 거칠기 레이놀즈수, 코일 각도, 프란틀수의 함수로 표현하였다.

A High-Speed Fractal Coding Using the Characteristics of Ultra-Small Atomic Block (극소원자블록 특성을 이용한 고속 프랙탈 영상압축)

  • 본 논문에서는 프랙탈 영상압축에서 화질/압축률을 향상 시키면서 압축시간을 획기적으로 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. 본 방법은 레인지블록의 크기가 아주 작으면 유사변환 계수들의 값을 극히 제한하더라도 유사한 도메인블록을 아주 가까운 주변에서 쉽게 찾을 수 있음을 활용하여 압축시간을 단축시키고 화질/압축률을 향상 시킨다. 또한, 본 방법은 인접한 레인지블록 들의 압축에 사용되는 계수들이 좋은 상호관계를 가지도록 유도하여 화질/압축률을 더욱 향상 시킨다. 본 방법은 대부분의 프랙탈 영상압축 방법에 쉽게 적용되어 그 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다. 특히 압축시간이 전역탐색 방법에 비해서 $512{\times}512$ 영상에서 약 60000 배 $256{\times}256$ 영상에서 약 15000 배 빠르며 실시간 동영상의 I-frame에도 사용가능 하다.

  • In the health monitoring of civil engineering structures, the optimal sensor placement has a major influence on the quality of the results. This paper considers the problem of locating sensors with the aim of maximizing the data information so that structural parameters or damage of structures can be assessed. An proposed technique using a genetic algorithm is introduced to find the optimal placement of sensors. The sensitivity on modal vectors by structural parameters and the orthogonality of modal vectors have been taken as the fitness function of the genetic algorithm. A simple tower structure is used for example analyses to investigate the feasibility and applicability of the proposed approach. The example analyses show the way how the modal sensitivity and the modal orthogonality in the fitness function have influence on the optimal sensor placement. It is shown that the present method using the proposed fitness function can provide the reliable results.

  • The dynamic behaviour of bearing-rotor system with flexible and damped supports is systematically investigated. To find out the obvious trend of the influence of the external damping on the resonance peak of a rolling bearing-rotor system and on the stability linit of a cylindrical journal bearing-rotor system, some important characteristic design parameters are derived. Those are the dimensionless stiffness and damping ratio of the external damping refered to the rotor stiffness. For an optimal design of the external damping a relation between the stiffness and damping coefficients can be obtained from the dynamic analysis of the whole system.

Dynamic Interaction Analysis of Low, Medium and Super-high Speed Maglev and Guideways (열차-교량의 동적 상호작용을 고려한 중·저속 및 초고속 자기부상열차와 가이드웨이의 동특성 해석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the dynamic characteristics of low, medium and high speed Maglev trains and guideways through dynamic interaction analysis. The coupled dynamic equations of motion for a vehicle of 10-dof and the associated guideway girders are developed by superposing vibration modes of the girder itself. The controller used in the UTM-01 Maglev vehicle is adopted to control the air gap between the bogie and guideway in this study. The effect of roughness, the guideway deflection-ratio and vehicle speed on the dynamic response of the maglev vehicle and guideway are then investigated using the 4th Runge-Kutta method. From the numerical simulation, it is found that the air gap increases with an increase of vehicle speed and the roughness condition. In particular, the dynamic magnification factor of the guideway girder is small at low and medium speeds, but the factor is noticeable at super-high speeds.
