  • 지금까지의 웹에서의 학습(실습과목에 대한) 상황은 정지된 이미지를 보고 그에 대한 설명을 학습자가 읽기만 하고 진행되는 시스템이다. 이는 '웹 활용 학습(Web Based Instruction)' 측면에서 볼 때 너무나도 정적이고 학습자 주도적이지 못한 학습 진행 상황이다. 따라서, 학습자의 성취도 또한 낮았다. 이러한 배경을 토대로 인터넷상에서의 실습 과목에 대한 학습진행 상황을 실제 상황과 똑같이 진행될 수 있도록 설계하였다. 진행 상황 화면을 하나씩 캡춰하여 그 이미지에 대한 이벤트 처리를 HTML과 DHTML, JavaScript를 통하여 구현하였다. 이로써, 학습자가 자신의 시스템에 프로그램이 설치되어있지 않아도, 또한 장소를 가리지 않고 인터넷에 접속하여 자기 주도적이고 동적인 학습을 진행할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 최근 멀티미디어 응용 기술을 기반한 컴퓨터 교육 매체 개발이 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 본 연구에서 수준별 개별 학습으로 학습 효과를 극대화하기 위한 지능형 멀티미디어 교습 시스템(IMTS)을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 활발한 상호작용으로 학습자의 상태를 진단하고, 개별 학습자 수준을 고려한 동적인 학습 과정을 능동적으로 수립하면서 교습 활동을 전개해 나간다. 제안하는 시스템은 다양한 학습자 수준과 상태에 따른 적응적 교습 과정을 수행하기 위하여 학습자 모델을 유지 관리한다. 그리고 다수의 학습자를 위한 원격 교습 과정을 수행하기 위하여 학습자 모델을 유지 관리한다. 그리고 다수의 학습자를 위한 원격 교습 시스템을 효율적으로 운영하기 위하여 교습 과정에 필요한 모든 모듈을 에이전트로 대체하여 클라이언트/서버 환경에서 교습 활동을 효율적으로 수행하도록 설계하였다.

  • 원격 교육에서 시간과 장소에 제한을 받지 않도록 하기 위해서 비슷한 난이도의 문제를 출제할 수 있는 동적 문제 출제시스템이 필요하다. 이 시스템은 웹 서버에서 문제를 임의 추출하고, 추출된 문제를 임의 정렬하여, 정렬된 문제를 출력하는 방법을 사용하였다. 이 방법은 서버의 부하를 가중시켜 실행시간을 증가시키는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 임의 추출 기능들을 데이터베이스 서버, 웹 서버, 클라이언트로 분할하여 실행시간을 단축시키는 시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다.

  • Most questions made for remote examinations on E-learning databank based selection system use methods of making questions automatically using degree of difficulty. This methods is the kernel of a question selection that degree of difficulty as make test questions, and then needs continuous management for degree of difficulty. This paper present improved algorithms for dynamically adjustment of degree of difficulty based on examination result that is more efficient set of question. We identified this algorithms is more effective as compared with previously algorithms on web-based education system.

  • Many learning methods are recently being proposed for web-based remote education and a method commonly applied to web-based learning is learning through questions. In the existing methods, the difficulty of questions is chosen by learners in accordance with their level or questions are selected dynamically. As these methods are simply based on difference among questions presented, however, it is hardly possible for learners to study according to their abilities. To solve the problem, we adjusted the difficulty of questions presented based on information on individuals' weak points for different types of questions. Under the system individuals can learn by applying information on their abilities with regard to the type and difficulty of questions repeatedly, so the system can provide more effective distance learning. To overcome space restrictions in learning, also, we design and implement a mobile study system on the top of PDA platforms.

  • Delivery efficiency of e-learning media can be influenced by authoring processes. Generally, a moving picture recorded by video camera can be delivered to student by multimedia streaming service, using media server technology. A e-learning media authored by lecture authoring tool is played in a student application by download-based delivery system. Recently, some animation know-how are applied to author e-learning media by hand-operation. In this paper, we suggest a client-based streaming service for the e-leaning media consists of media files and integration data The lecture of e-learning media nay be divided into some time-based small blocks. Each blocks can be located distributed site. The student system gather those blocks by download-scheduling. This is a valid method for QoS guarantee streaming services. In addition to our study, lecturers can author composite e-learning media includes media files and dynamic web pages simply, The distributed e-learning media files of our study is managed by multi-author and updated rapidly.

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 원격강의에서의 교수자와 학습자간의 효율적인 학습을 위한 공통모듈을 설계 및 구현하였다. 공통모듈은 교수자와 동일한 문서를 학습자에게 제공해주며 다양한 컨트롤을 통하여 학습자료를 동적으로 변화시킨다. 실시간으로 데이터 전송이 일어나기 때문에 강의 데이터를 일정한 크기로 나누어 전송하는 방법을 채택하여 구현하였다. 본 시스템은 교수자의 주도적이며 상호작용적인 강의를 제공해준다.

  • Web based instruction (WBI) has been widely used thesedays because the web has various advantages for instruction. However, most of current WBI systems do not support various requirements from students. It is because of the lack of research for structural instruction method. This paper presents a new method of WBI and designs an instruction model to support various requirements from students by implementing dynamic WBI system using JSP to solve current WBI problems. The developed WBI system uses multimedia based instructions. The implemented system focused on the practical instruction by providing the functions of listening, homework, and test on web site. For the similar effects as in the classroom, it supports functions of electronic white board and multimedia data which is consisted of high-quality sound and video data with high degree of compression. Furthermore, the system supports that instructors can design a test using three kinds of basic forms, a multiple-choice test, brief-answer test, essay test, and evaluate the tests easily. It also supports easy management for homework, lecture registration, and many school affairs.

  • WBI provides new opportunities to realize the flexible learning environment based on hypermedia and to support distance learning with a diverse interaction. The instructors or learners in WBI claim to be able to resolve reluctant fluctuations such as disorientation and cognitive overload. To overcome these phenomena, a supplementary tool able to manage a learning space organized by the instructor's or learner's own way and offer effective navigation techniques is presented in this paper. A learning space management and navigation tool called HyperMap dynamically represents the learning space in the form of a two-dimensional labeled graph. This HyperMap also can be used for an instruction design tool, learners portfolio for the exchange of learning experiences, and the assessment of WBI.
