A Fuzzy Based Performance Isolation for Differentiated Service (차별화 서비스를 위한 퍼지기반 성능분리)

  • 본 논문에서는 SLA(Service Level Agreement)와 같이 차별화 서비스를 지원하는 웹서버 시스템의 가동성 척도를 향상시키기 위해 기존의 동적 성능 분리 기법에 퍼지 기법을 접목하였다. 특히, 클러스터 기반 웹서버 시스템의 부하량에 대한 판단기준 혹은 사용자 요청률 및 동적요청 비율 변화시에 발생하는 애매모호한 상황을 효과적으로 반영하기 위해, 퍼지제어 기법에 기초한 부하분배 메커니즘을 제안하였다. 이를 통해, 기존의 퍼지 기법을 활용하지 않은 성능분리 기법과 퍼지기법을 활용한 경우에 대해 응답시간(95-percentile of response time) 성능 비교 평가를 통해 퍼지기반의 성능분리 기법이 차별화 서비스 시스템의 성능을 더욱 강건하고 효율적으로 향상시킬 수 있다는 점을 검증하였다.

Dynamic Slicing Algorithms for Understanding of C Programs (C 프로그램의 이해를 지원하는 동적 조각화 알고리즘)

  • Dynamic slicing method decomposes a program into slices and supports to be understood programs easily by software developer or maintainer. In this paper, we propose dynamic slicing algorithm to reduce time to decompose a program. We produce reference-variable set used in right and modify-variable set used in left on the basis of the assignment operator of all sentences and extract Inter-Variable Relationship(VV) for all variables of variable declaration. Proposed algorithm extracts dynamic slices by using them and execution trace of program. In conclusion, proposed algorithm improved the performance by reducing the time to extract dynamic slices by decreasing average comparison count of sentence when the number of criterion variables is three or more.

Evaluation of the Seismic Safely of Concrete Gravity Dams (콘크리트 중력식 댐의 내진 안전성 평가)

  • Recently, the seismic safety evaluation of concrete gravity dams is raised due to the damage or the failure of dams occurred by the 1995 Kobe earthquake, the 1999 Taiwan earthquake, etc. Failre of dam may incur loss of life and properties around the dam as well as damage to dam structure itself. Recently, there has been growing much concerns about 'earthquake-resistance' or 'seismic safety'of existing concrete gravity dams designed before current seismic design provisions were implemented. This research develops three evaluation levels for seismic safety of concrete gravity dams on the basis of the evaluation method of seismic safety of concrete gravity dams in U.S.A., Japan, Canada, and etc. level 1 is a preliminary evaluation which is for purpose f screening. Level 2 is a pseudo-static evaluation on the basis of the seismic intensity method. Finally, level 3 is a detail evaluation by the dynamic analysis. Evaluation results on existing concrete gravity dam on operation showed good seismic performance under the designed artificial earthquake.

Dynamic Characteristic of the Seismic Performance of Uninterruptible Power Supply with Combined Isolator Using Shaking Table Test (복합면진장치를 적용한 무정전전원장치의 1축 진동대실험 기반 동적특성 분석)

  • In this study, three types of combined isolator consisting of High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB) and wire isolator were developed for Uninterruptible Power Supply system (UPS). The dynamic characteristics of the combined isolator were investigated through one-axis shaking table test. The input acceleration were generated in accordance with ICC-ES AC156 code. Scale factors of the input acceleration were designed to be 0.5-2 times the required response spectrum defined in ICC-ES AC156. Based on the test results, damage and dynamic characteristics of the UPS were investigated: including natural frequency, damping ratio, acceleration time history response, dynamic amplification factor and relative displacement. Based on that, it was found that the combined isolator developed in this study could improve the seismic behavior of the UPS, in particular, the response acceleration.

  • As PRC linear interpolation algorithm is applied after analysed and verified in this paper, the unknown location of a user can be identified by using PRC information of multi-DGPS reference station. The PRC information of each GPS satellite is not varying rapidly, which makes it possible to assume that PRC information of each GPS satellite varies linearly. So, the PRC regeneration algorithm with linear interpolation can be applied to improve the accuracy of finding a user's location by using the various PRC information obtained from multi-DGPS reference station. The desirable PRC is made by the linear combination with the known position of multi-DGPS reference station and PRC values of a satellite using signals from multi-DGPS reference station. The RTK-GPS result was used as the reference. To test the performance of the linearly interpolated PRC regeneration algorithm, multi-channel DGPS beacon receiver was built to get a user's position more exactly by using PRC data of maritime DGPS reference station in RTCM format. At the end of this paper, the result of the quantitative analysis of the developed navigation algorithm performance is presented.

  • 단위 무게당 추력특성이 다른 전동기에 비해 우수한 것으로 나타나 있는 횡축형 선형전동기에 대한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 횡축형 선형 전동기의 동적 시뮬레이션을 수행할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하였다. 전동기의 설계단계에서는 주로 정적인 특성만을 고려하여 설계가 진행되지만, 이렇게 설계된 전동기는 실제 실험 결과와 설계 명세간의 차이가 많이 발생하는 경우가 있다. 본 논문에서 개발된 동적 시뮬레이션 모델을 이용한 결과를 설계 단계에서 적용한다면 좀 더 실제적인 전동기 설계를 할 수 있을것으로 기대된다. 또한 제작된 전동기의 성능 평가를 하는 경우 성능의 기준으로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • Maglev guideway is expected to be a new public transportation for future because of its environmental and special characteristics. Recently, Korean government initiated an urban maglev project to build a commercial line in Incheon International Airport by year 2012. For practical use of UTM02, it is essential not only to verify the performances of the vehicle but also to formulate the design rules of Maglev Guideway. In this paper, maglev guideway is analyzed by Finite Element Method and then obtained dynamic characteristics such as displacements, acceleration and impact factor.

  • This paper introduces the performance of a newly developed base isolation system made from the combination of a polyurethane disk - attached pot bearing and C-shape steel dampers. Ultimate compressive load tests, ultimate rotation tests, dynamic tests, and dynamic load repeat tests have been completed to determine dynamic characteristics and to verify performance characteristics. The experimental results are compared with the analytic results. It is determined that all requirements for bridge bearing in the specifications are satisfied, and that adequate energy dissipation has occurred. The EDC and effective stiffness estimated by tests are similar to the theoretical values.

  • 부하 분산 시스템의 성능을 향상시키기 위해서는 각 연산 노드들에 대한 부하수준을 잘 파악하여야 한다. 기존의 부하 분산 시스템들은 부하 측정기준(load metric)으로 실행 큐(run queue)에 있는 작업의 수(number of jobs)를 주로 이용한다. 그러나, 여러 프로세스들이 동시에 실행될 때, 각 프로세스의 실행이 서로의 성능에 미치는 정도인 프로세스간 독립수준(interprocess dependence level)을 고려하면 좀 더 정확하게 시스템 부하수준을 측정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 시스템 성능에 실제로 영향을 미치는 프로세스들의 수를 의미하는 유효 작업의 수(effective number of jobs)라는 부하 측정기준을 적용하여 성능이 향상된 부하 분산 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

Evaluation of the Performance Test Load through the Estimation of Vertical Loads on Vibration-Proof Fastening Systems (방진체결장치에 작용하는 수직하중 평가를 통한 성능시험하중 평가)

  • In this study, regulation of the performance test load of a vibration-proof fastening system used in urban railways was established through evaluation of the loads that it bears in the field. In order to investigate the range of the dynamic stiffness of the vibration-proof fastening system, dynamic stiffness tests were carried out for three types of vibration-proof fastening system that can be domestically supplied. Train and track interaction analyses in the frequency domain were carried out to evaluate the dynamic wheel loads. The track irregularity, which is a very important input factor in train and track interaction analysis, was considered as a PSD (Power Spectral Density) function, which was derived based on the measured data. The loads on the vibration-proof rail fastening system were evaluated considering various operating conditions in the urban railway. Regulation of the performance test load of the vibration-proof rail fastening system was established based on the evaluated loads.
