A new polymorph of tridymite, an incommensurately modulated phase (IC phase), has been identified. While the symmetry of the IC lattice is same as that of the Ll phase, the geometry of the IC lattice structure is same as the basis of the L3 structure with a different modulation (modulation vector q=0.22 $c*_{H}$;$\lambda$ 37 ). On the other hand, the characteristic curved diffuse diffration observed from the Ll atoms could occur even at room phase suggests that the dynamic disordering of atoms, especially oxygen atoms could occur even at room temperature. The phase transition of Ll to L3 by grinding is gradual but very conspicuous: LllongrightarrowL1+IClongrightarrowIC+L3longrightarrowL3. However, it is revealed that real transition processes of individual grains are directly related to the local stress fields and preexisting microstructures.
As the mobile environment becomes widely used, there is a growth on the concern about recognizing and sharing user context. Sharing context makes the interaction between human more plentiful as well as helps to keep a good social relationship. Recently, it has been applied to some messengers or mobile applications with sharing simple contexts, but it is still required to recognize and share more complex and diverse contexts. In this paper, we propose a context-aware messenger that collects various sensory information, recognizes representative user contexts such as emotion, stress, and activity by using dynamic Bayesian networks, and visualizes them. It includes a modular model that is effective to recognize various contexts and displays them in the form of icons. We have verified the proposed method with the scenario evaluation and usability test.

Identity authentication sharing technology which allows many service providers to share the result of identity authentication of an identity provider provides several important advantages including high usability achieved by avoiding repeated registration of identity information to service providers and single sign-on, cost effectiveness of service providers achieved by outsourcing identity authentication services from identity providers, and privacy protection achieved by exposing identity information only to a limited number of controlled identity providers. However, in order for the identity authentication sharing technologies to be widely deployed in global Internet scale, the trustworthiness issue among the participating identity providers, service providers, and users should be resolved in advance. This paper firstly analyzes existing trust frameworks for identity authentication sharing. And then, based on the result of analysis, this paper proposes a dynamic and open trust framework for identity authentication sharing.

This study aims to analyze the effect of local government capacities on the improvement of air pollution. For this purpose, we construct a dynamic panel model using a data set for air pollutants such as $SO_2$, $CO_2$, and particulate matters and the local governments' capacities for Chinese Provinces in the period of 2007 - 2014. The results show that of the three types of capacities, the organizational capacity measured by environmental personnel, environmental expenditures, and average size of environmental institutions is very important, while the institutional capacity and social capacity have a insignificant impact on the air quality improvement. Among the local government capacities, other than the organizational capacity, only the activity of environmental organizations, which is a social capacity, partially affects the improvement of air pollution. Regarding local conditions, vertical dependence of financial resources, GRDP per capita, and population density have a negative impact on improving air pollution. These findings provide implications for local governments in China as to what capacities they should improve to improve air pollution.
A fully coupled effective stress dynamic analysis procedure for modeling seismic liquefaction on slope is presented. An elasto-plastic formulation is used for the constitutive model UBCSAND in which the yield loci are radial lines of constant stress ratio and the flow rule is non-associated. This is incorporated into the 2D version of Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua (FLAC) by modifying the existing Mohr-Coulomb model. This numerical procedure is used to simulate centrifuge test data from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). UBCSAND is first calibrated to cyclic direct simple shear tests performed on Nevada sand. Both pre- and post-liquefaction behaviour is captured. The centrifuge test is then modeled and the predicted accelerations, excess porewater pressures, and displacements are compared with the measurements. The results are shown to be in general agreement. The procedure is currently being used in the design of liquefaction remediation measures for a number of dam, bridge, tunnel, and pipeline projects in Western Canada.
This paper present a new dynamic HRA (Human Reliability Analysis) method and its application for Quantifying the human error probabilities in implementing an accident management action. For comparisons of current HRA methods with the new method, the characteristics of THERP, HCR, and SLIM-MAUD, which are most frequently used methods in PSAs, are discussed. The action associated with the implementation of the cavity flooding during a station blackout sequence is considered for its application. This method is based on the concepts of the quantified correlation between the performance requirement and performance achievement. The MAAP 3.0B code and Latin Hypercube sampling technique are used to determine the uncertainty of the performance achievement parameter. Meanwhile, the value of the performance requirement parameter is obtained from interviews. Based on these stochastic distributions obtained, human error probabilities are calculated with respect to the various means and variances of the timings. It is shown that this method is very flexible in that it can be applied to any kind of the operator actions, including the actions associated with the implementation of accident management strategies.
Wheel reprofiling is frequently conducted to remove faults such as flange wear, flat areas, and cracks that occur in railway vehicle operation. We analyzed the dynamic performances of a vehicle before and after wheel reprofiling to grasp the influence of reprofiling on the dynamic behavior of the vehicle. We measured the wheel profile of the test vehicle and conducted a running test to analyze the vibration and comfort characteristics of the test vehicle. The result of the test indicated that vibration of the test vehicle after wheel reprofiling was reduced compared to that before wheel reprofiling. And, comfort level of the test vehicle after wheel reprofiling was improved by about 3dB laterally and vertically. Consequently, the positive effect of wheel reprofiling on the dynamic performance of vehicle was verified.

In this paper, an enhanced QoS multicast routing scheduling scheme is proposed to adapt to a dynamic mobile traffic condition for wireless mesh networks (WMNs). It handles the network QoS by controlling the delay constraints for multimedia applications. The group size will be controlled according to both the current network state and QoS requirements. The dynamic reconstruction of QoS multicast tree can be obtained from preprocessing with both the partial multicast routing scheme and the traffic estimation. Performance evaluation of the proposed scheme is carried out on randomly generated graph derived from the wireless mesh network, by choosing the optimal value related to the appropriate delay bounds. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can improve the performance of QoS multicast routing for WMNs.

The smart grid technology is expected to significantly improve energy efficiency by dynamic power supply. One of its application is the Vehicle-to-Grid(V2G) that utilizes an electric vehicle's battery as a household storage battery. Meanwhile, a lot of researches are recently investigated in the area of wireless energy transfer technology because of its convenience and safety in charging a battery. With the wireless energy transfer infrastructure a wireless magnetic induction communication technique can help the dynamic power supply of the smart grid more efficient. In this paper, we propose a wireless magnetic induction communication sion cowhich includes data transmission and location-aware functions. We expect the sion cohelp the smart grid to control power supply more efficiently. We also developed its test-bed and evaluated the performance.

Dynamic response of structures can be evaluated experimentally by conducting cyclic loading tests. It has been known that steel materials are rate-dependent and the lateral response of a structure is significantly affected by the presence of axial force. However, the rate-dependency of steel column structures subjected to both axial and lateral loads has not been sufficiently studied yet due to the difficulty of controlling the axial force in a real-time manner during test. This study introduces an advanced way to apply the axial load in real-time to a column specimen using the adaptive time series (ATS) compensator and the flexible loading beam (FLB), where the H-shape steel columns made of SS275 are used for monotonic and cyclic loading tests with various loading rates with axial loads. The lateral strength and post-yield response of the steel columns are compared for each of monotonic and cyclic loading tests. The estimating equation of yield stress of various strain rate has proposed and finite element analysis were performed for comparison.
