Exploration on the Strategies of Organizing Curriculum for Improvement of Major Basic Competencies in the Agricultural High School Students to University by Departments Identical to Their Major (농업계 고등학생들의 동일계 대학 전공기초능력 향상을 위한 교육과정 편성 방안 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze high schools' general and special subject required to successfully complete same stream curriculum which is identical to their major from agricultural high school, and to offer basic data on strategies of organizing agricultural high schools' curriculum for improving universities' major basic competencies. Using purposeful sampling technique, the professors of 116 universities professors in 8 agricultural university were analyzed through the survey research. The result was as follows. first, it appeared that for successful completion of major subjects of the same stream university, the basic science subject such as biology and chemistry has high relation with major basic ability, however math and physics are related highly in agricultural machine and agricultural civil engineering department, economics and math are in agricultural produce distribution department. Second, the basic ability such as linguistic competence and foreign language ability are essential to complete major subject. Third, if we look into relation of agriculture and life science industry stream specialized subject with major basic competencies, we can find considerable similarity between major field of university and subject name of specialized high school. Fourth, the main opinion is that basic concept and principle, laws of nature are should be main contents which is able to be practical, however experiment and practice is in food processing department, and academic theory is in biotechnology department.

The Influence of the Organization and Implementation of the Curriculum on Teachers' Characteristics and Schools' Peculiarities in Specialized Industry High Schools (교사 및 학교별 특성이 특성화 공업계 고등학교의 교육과정 편성 및 운영에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between teachers' characteristics and schools' peculiarities and to analyze relevant variables which influence the organization and implementation of the curriculum in specialized industry high schools. Subject were 414 teachers in specialized industry high school. The main result of this study are as follows. First, according to teachers' sex distinction, position, teaching experience, career of industry-related companies, subtle stress difference were found in establishment of education programs, relevance of educational activity, propriety of equipment. Second, in case of schools' subject of establishment, dormitory, specialized types, number of class, type of the sex of recruitment, subtle difference were found in connectivity of graders and subjects, relevance of the organization of education activity, substantial curriculum, push ahead with specialized high school. Third, measures to support development of specialized curriculum arrange sub-items in order of frequency. The way we understand things on vocational education must be settled without delay.

  • Due to a decrease in the number of college prep students which was triggered by the low birth rate since 1990, it is predicted, beginning 2016, that the entrance quota for colleges will exceed the number of applicants for college admissions. This serious imbalance between supply and demand raises serious problems for the regional universities, many of which have already been struggling to recruit new students and even considered closing down the schools. In an effort to securing best high school students, many of the schools have been developing various unique and specialized selectional processes for the applicants. In this research, through a statistical analysis of special admission processes for vocational high school students who were admitted to a regional state-run university (University A), I tried to find a way to effectively deal with the student management. Statistically analyzing these first-year students' enrollment and their adjustment processes as well as the departmental relationships and gender differences, I tried to find some better ways to secure good applicants. It is expected that this study will not only be utilized as guide to adopt a way to bypass the enrollment quota in order to secure talented students but also be served as a reference that will help the students adapt themselves to school life until they graduate. It is also expected that this study will be expanded in such a way as to compare it with other models and even develop a new type of college entrance system that would fit future college admission policies.

A survey of Specialists Cognition on Authorization of Credits for the Same Subjects in Entering a Same Department of the College Among Technical High School Graduates (공업고등학교 졸업생의 대학 동일계 학과 진학시 동일 과목 학점 인정에 관한 전문가 인식 조사)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey of specialists cognition to authorize credits for the same subjects in entering a department of the same area in college among technical high school graduates. Today with generalized college education, about 80% of technical high school graduates enter college. Therefore, authorization of credits for the same subjects is necessary to reduce educational waste in terms of articulation among technical high schools, junior colleges and universities. In this study, a survey was conducted with 100 specialists in technical education, including technical high school teachers, researchers, and professors at junior college or technical college in university, getting answers from 84 subjects (81.25%). The results of this research can be summarized as follows: First, it is valid to authorize credits for all practical subjects completed in technical high school when technical high school graduates enter the same department at college but most of junior college professor unsuitable response. Second, it is valid to authorize credits through its own prescribed test for the same subjects when technical high school graduates enter the same department of engineering at junior college or technical college in university but opposed 62.5% of junior college professor. Third, it is most of respondent valid to authorize credits for the same subjects if results of its own examination for authorization by university are at a fixed level or higher when technical high school graduates are admitted as a junior at the same department in technical college of university after graduation from the same department at junior college.

  • Now Vocational High School have many Problems. The Alternative proposal, to easy go on to university of same tract can not a substitute of the basic cause. Vocational High School is needed to the practical curriculum for her place. This article analyzes the problems of the Computer Education Curriculum for Vocational High School by compared with the demanded Curriculum, haying his or her Career when the student complete the Vocational High School course.

  • 상수관망시스템은 정수처리 된 용수를 수요처에 공급하는 사회기반시설물이며, 주로 지하에 매설되는 시설물의 특성상 관로에 누수가 발생하였을 경우, 정확한 발생지점을 파악하기가 어렵다. 특히, 지진에 의해 시스템 내 다중지점에 누수가 발생할 경우, 장기간 경제적 손실과 사용자의 불편이 예상되므로 신속히 누수지점을 파악한 후, 피해 관로의 적절한 교체 혹은 보수가 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 지진으로 인해 상수관망에 발생한 다중 누수관로의 정확한 탐지를 위해 다양한 누수탐지 기법을 제안하고 모의결과를 비교, 분석하였다. 가상의 다중 누수 시나리오를 모의한 후, 시스템 내 설치된 수압계와 유량계의 누수발생 전, 후 모니터링 값을 이용하여 1) 최적화 알고리즘을 이용한 Calibration 기법, 2) 수리해석을 통한 누수지점 역추적 기법, 3) 인공신경망을 이용한 Pattern 학습법 등을 적용하였다. 동일한 다중 누수 시나리오를 각 누수탐지 기법에 적용함으로써 누수지점 산정 결과에 대한 정확도를 비교, 분석하였다. 본 연구는 최근 국내에서 발생빈도가 높아지고 있는 지진재해 발생에 대비하여 상수관망시스템의 지진피해 복구 연구를 위해 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Analysis of Laterally Loaded Pile-Bent Structure with Varying Cross-sectional Area (변단면 파일벤트 구조의 수평거동 분석)

  • The load distribution and deformation of pile-bent structures are investigated using a numerical study. A numerical analysis that takes into account the effects of varying cross-sectional area was performed for different pier diameters, loading steps, and soil conditions. Through the comparison study, it is shown that the location of maximum bending moment is almost the same per each loading step, regardless of varying cross-sections. However, the member force (i.e., stress of pile material) has the largest value at the ground surface when the cross-section is changed. Based on the results obtained, it is found that the location of maximum member force influences highly the behavior of pile-bent structure with varying cross-sections for repair works.

  • As the importance of informatics education has been accentuated all around the world, Japan is considering adopting 'informatics' as a subject in the university entrance examination from 2020. Under these circumstances, Informatics university entrance research group in Japan has annually conducted an 'informatics' nationwide mock test since 2013 to prepare for the time when 'informatics' is adopted as a subject in the university entrance exam and has accumulated the data which help understand the informatics education level of high school students and its trend. This study thus provided the Korean high school students with the questions which are the same as those from the informatics nationwide mock tests conducted in Japan so far in order to identify the education level of informatics among Korean and Japanese students. Overall mean scores and mean scores in each subject of Korean and Japanese students in the 2015 informatics nationwide mock tests were compared and analyzed and the gender analysis was conducted. These results will be expected to suggest the direction for the future informatics education such as adopting 'informatics' as a subject in the university entrance exam in order to be a compulsory subject in the high school curriculum that can ensure the required skills in society.

Effect of Defoliation and Panicle Removal at Heading Stage on Grain Weight in Rice Plant (수도 출수기의 분벽별 적엽 및 적수처리가 종실중에 미치는 영향)

  • Two rice varieties were planted and four degrees of defoliated tiller num ber ratio and another four levels of defoliation-panicle removal tiller number ratio were made at heading stage of know the possibility of translocation of photosynthetic products between tillers during grain filling stage of rice plant. The more tillers defoliated in a hill, the less matured grain ratio and the less grain weight per panicle of normal tillers were found. But the matured grain ratio and the grain weight per panicle of tillers defoliated partly in a hill showed higher than those of tillers of completely defoliated plant. No differences of the matured grain ratio and the grain weight per panicle were found between different levels of defoliation-panicle removal tiller number ratio in a hill. But the matured grain ratio and the grain weight per panicle of tillers of completely defoliated plant were significantly lower than those of tillers of partly defoliation-panicle removal treatments. These results indicated that the translocation of photosynthetic products between tillers was possible during grain filling period in rice plant. Source-sink relationship can be applied to interpret the result obtained in this study.
