  • To apply the research results to the design and the construction of the high rise buildings, long-term behavior of reinforced concrete structure have been widely studied. However, shoring and reshoring at early ages have not been considered in the most of studies. The removal of forms and shores has been dealt with one construction sequence. i.e. the deformation occurred at the early age before the removal of shore has been neglected. In this paper, two-dimensional frame analysis program for long-term behavior of reinforced concrete was developed. In the developed program, construction sequence including the settlement and the removal of shores is considered to predict axial force variation due to forms ,shores, and time-dependent concrete stiffness. Analysis results show that the time-dependent axial force of shores is reduced, and the redistributed axial force of the interior column is greater than the value by elastic analysis and that of the exterior column is smaller. In order to demonstrate the validity of this program, the test frame was constructed in sequence of the placement of concrete, form removal, reshoring, shore removal, and the application of additional load. The proposed program predicts experimental results well.

Analytical System Development for Reinforced Tall Buildings with Construction Sequence (시공단계에 따른 철근콘크리트 고층건물의 해석시스템 개발)

  • Long-term behavior analysis considering construction sequence should be performed in the design and the actual construction of reinforced tall buildings. Most of the analytical studies on this subject, however, has not been applied directly to the structural design and the construction caused by the simple approach. As the axial force redistribution of shores and columns is time-dependent, the actual construction sequence with the placement of concrete, form removal, reshoring, shore removal, and the additional load application is very important. Object-oriented analysis program considering construction sequence, especially time-dependent deformation in early days, is developed. This system is composed of input module, database module, database store module, analysis module, and result generation module. Linkage interface between the central database and each of the related module is implemented by the visual c# concept. Graphic user interface and the relational database table are supported for user's convenience.

  • In a companion paper, a simplified method for the evaluation of the slab construction load was developed. Unlike existing methods, the proposed method includes the effects of shore stiffness and concrete cracking on the construction load. In the present study, construction loads were measured in actual flat-plate slabs. For verification, the measured shore-forces were compared with the predictions by the proposed method and existing methods. Further, the proposed method was applied to a wall-slab structure, and the prediction results were compared with the measurements. The comparison results showed that the proposed method well predicted the construction loads, furthermore it gave better predictions than the existing methods did.

Analysis of Time-dependent Axial Force of Shores using the Winkler Model (Winkler모델을 이용한 동바리의 시간의존적 축력 해석법)

  • In the case of reinforced concrete structures, the knowledge of load transfer in the long-term behavior analysis considering construction sequence is very important. Even though long-term behavior of concrete structures has been widely studied, the studies on the time-dependent axial force variation of shore have been scarce to date. In order to investigate the shore behaviors under actual construction conditions, a three-story test frame was constructed on a construction site. The entire construction schedule for the test frame was made to follow the schedule of an actual three-story frame. To analyze the data collected from the test frame, an analysis method based on the Winkler foundation model was developed. This analysis method accurately Predicts the time-dependent behavior of shore. The analysis results coincide well with those obtained by the Midas GENw program
