Preschoolers' Empathy and Prosocial Behavior: Conceptual and Methodological Issues (유아의 감정이입과 친사회적 행동과의 관계 : 연구의 개념적, 방법론적 문제 분석)

  • 감정이입은 친사회적 행동의 잠재적 동기요인으로서 발달심리학자들 (e.g., Feshbach, 1978 ; Hoffman, 1975)로부터 지대한 관심을 받아왔다. 어려움에 처한 다른 사람에 대해 감정이입적으로 자극된 사람은 상호 체험하는 심적 고통(distress)으로부터 벗어난다는 기대에 의해서, 또는 지원적 행위 후에 대리체험할 수 있는 긍정적인 감정에 대한 기대에 의해서, 그 사람을 지원하도록 동기유발 되어질 수 있다(Barnett & Thompson, 1985; Hoffman, 1975). 감정이입과 친사회적 행동 사이의 긍정적 관계에 대한 충분한 이론적 근거에도 불구하고, 그 관련성을 실증하는데 실패한 많은 연구들에서 나타난 개념적, 방법론적 문제들이 본 논문에서 분석되었다. 성인의 감정이입과 친사회적 행동과의 관계에 대한 연구들은 상당히 일관된 긍정적 결과를 제시해온 반면, 아동들, 특히 어린 유아들을 대상으로 한 경우, 명백하거나 쉽게 해석할 수 있는 패턴의 관련성이 확립되지 못했다. 이러한 종전 연구에서의 문제점은 감정이입에 대한 개념적 논쟁 및 측정방법의 어려움에 기인할 수 있다. 감정이입과 친사회적 행동 사이의 실험적인 관련성의 강도는 이 변인들을 측정하기 위해 사용된 방법들의 특성과 제한성에 다분히 의존하는 것으로 보인다. 친사회적 반응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 가정되어지는 다양한 상황적, 동기적 요소들을 감안하여, 유아의 감정이입 능력이 구체적인 사회적 상황에서 작용되는 과정이 보다 면밀하게 연구되어져야 한다.

Improvement of Human Motivation in Lean Construction Implementation (린 건설 수행에 따른 인적자원의 동기유발)

  • Since Lean Construction has been introduced in 1992, much research is in progress to popularize lean concepts and principles. Most research focuses on developing lean concepts and tools and strengthening the limited domain of instrumental rationality and technical efficiency. However, the basic concepts of human resource management seem to be ignored by those who advocate lean production. Thus, the lean construction research related to human resource management must be once considered for popularization and activation of lean construction at the beginning stage in the domestic construction industry. Because human resources have a major influence on lean implementation and its success, especially at the beginning stage of lean construction. This paper considers the human resource requirements for the implementation of lean construction in the USA construction industry. The results from the study will provide the foundations to adapt lean construction into the domestic construction industry. Consequently, the study found that lean construction could improve the capability of human resource and human motivation if effectively implemented in the construction sites. Since lean construction emphasizes and focuses on improvement of relationships among project participants, constant application to human resource management is crucial for successful lean implementation.

An Analysis of Cases of Real-time Online Class Design by Pre-service Science Teachers (예비 과학 교사의 실시간 온라인 수업 설계 사례 분석)

  • This study aimed to analyze cases of online class design by pre-service science teachers to identify the teaching strategies employed for online classes. For this purpose, the real-time online class lesson plans of 12 pre-service science teachers, who had experienced education utilizing online teaching tools for a semester, were collected and analyzed. The pre-service science teachers considered all the elements that were essential in traditional face-to-face class designs, including prerequisites, statements of learning objectives, stimulating motivation, teaching and learning methods, wrapping up, teacher-student interaction, and assessment. They devised teaching strategies that could overcome the limitations of online teaching and were not feasible in face-to-face classes for each element. Additionally, they were considering new instructional strategies tailored to the online teaching environment, such as creating a conducive environment for using online teaching tools and strategies related to checking the online teaching environment. However, for statements of learning objectives, stimulating motivation, and wrapping up, most of the pre-service science teachers predominantly utilized teaching strategies from traditional face-to-face classes, especially those involving the presentation of visual materials through online tools. Student-centered approaches were rarely implemented in stimulating motivation or wrapping up. These findings imply that one semester of exposure to the utilization of online teaching tools may be insufficient in teacher education. Thus, there is a need for a continuous and expanded educational program on the utilization of online teaching tools as part of pre-service teacher education.

A Comparison Study on Satisfaction with Motivation-Hygiene Factors between Technology and Other Teachers in Gwangju City and Chon-nam Province (광주.전남 지역의 중등학교 기술 담당 교사의 동기-위생요인 간 만족도 및 타 교과 교사와의 비교 연구)

  • This study was performed to investigate and analyze technology teachers' and other subject teachers' satisfactions with motivation-hygiene factors in order to provide informations for their job motivation at secondary schools. The data were collected from 216 technology teachers and other subject teachers in Gwangju City and Chon-nam Province and analyzed and tested at p<.05 or more by employing t-test through SPSS program. The average satisfaction levels of the teachers were M = 3.85 with compounded motivation factors and M = 3.38 with compounded hygiene factors. The former is higher the latter. In the satisfaction levels of individual factors responsibility was first, work itself second, achievement third, and human relation, job safety, growth opportunity, recognition, supervision skill subsequently went down. The satisfaction levels of these factors were higher than neutral(M = 3.00). On the other hand, the satisfaction levels of work environment and payment were a little lower than neutral. Technology teachers were more satisfied than other subject teachers with responsibility and human relation factors among 10 motivation and hygiene factors. They had more positive perception than the others with these two. Generally, these teachers groups presented almost the equal satisfaction level with motivation and hygiene factors. The data were collected from technology teachers and other subject teachers in Gwangju City and Chon-nam Province and thus these might not be applicable to teachers in other cities and provinces.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of voluntary purchasing motives on insurance consumer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to investigate the direct and indirect effects of insurance consumption satisfaction including psychological needs of consumers that induce voluntary purchase motivation based on psychological self-determinism theory. The research hypotheses and models were verified through structural equation analysis using online surveys of 1,225 insurance consumers. As a result of the study, the satisfaction of insurance consumption is increased when purchasing by voluntary purchase motive, in which consumers perceive the necessity of purchasing themselves. The positive perception of insurance consumption autonomy and insurance consumption environment increases the motivation to purchase voluntarily, Respectively. Through this study, it is suggested that excessive marketing of insurance companies and self-confidence of insurance consumers may hinder insurance consumption satisfaction and education of consumption attitudes of financial consumers to raise awareness of autonomous rights and responsibilities of insurance consumers.

Analysis of transmission delay of timecode over SpaceWire network using OMNeT++ (OMNeT++을 이용한 스페이스와이어 네트워크의 타임코드 전송 지연 분석)

  • SpaceWire is a standard for high-speed links and networks between spacecraft components, which was invented for better, cheaper and faster on-board data handling in spacecraft. The standard defines timecode and its distribution which can be used for time synchronization among the nodes in a SpaceWire network. A timecode output from the time master which provides standard time over a SpaceWire network travels through links and routers to reach every nodes. While traveling, a timecode suffers from transmission delay and jitter which cause some difference in time synchronization among nodes. In this work, a simulator was developed using OMNeT++ to simulate the operation of a SpaceWire network and some analyses were performed on the transmission delay and jitter accompanied with a transmission of a timecode. The result will be used in the near future for the research of a precise time synchronization technique over a SpaceWire network.

Asynchronous Ranging Method using Estimated Frequency Differences in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서망에서의 주파수 차이 추정 비동기 Ranging 방식)

  • The clock frequency difference of sensor nodes is one of main parameters in TOF estimation and affect to degrade ranging algorithms to estimate positions of mobile nodes in wireless sensor networks. The specification of IEEE802.15.4a describes asynchronous TWR and SDS-TWR insensitive to frequency difference without any additional network synchronization. But the TWR and SDS-TWR can not eliminate sufficiently the effect of frequency difference of node pair, packet processing delay and its difference. Especially use of low cost oscillator with wide range offset, sensor node with different hardware and software can make the positioning errors worse. We propose an estimation method of frequency differences, and apply the measured frequency differences to TWR and SDS-TWR. We evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm with simulation, and make certain that the proposed method enhances the performance of existing algorithms with positioning errors less than 25 cm.

  • This study analyzed the motivational interviewing of type 2 diabetes patients in order to understand the difficulties and motivations associated with starting insulin treatment in psychosomatic insulin-resistant patients. The method used the consistent comparative analysis. The results of study were as follows: building relationships, focusing (Self-explore of problems with diabetes self-management, Recognizing the limitations of diabetes management, Concerns about complications, Imagine the future), inducing (Imagine the expected benefits and disadvantages of insulin administration, Discovering the benefits of insulin, Changes in thinking about starting insulin therapy), planning (Show specific curiosity about change, Planning change), maintaining change behavior (Keeping change confident), and evaluating. This study will contribute to understanding patients with type 2 diabetes with psychological insulin resistance. It may also provide implications for professionals helping these subjects.

  • To use external knowledge for Creative product, This study suggests the model of Technological entrepreneurship, Absorptive capacity - Potential absorptive capacity(PACAP), Realized absorptive capacity (RACAP), Creative product and moderating effect of Motivation. This model was set up though literature research method. Empirical analysis was conducted by using 487 questionnaires from workers of electronic industry in Kyung-buk. Results of study are as followings; 1. Technological entrepreneurship related positively to Creative product. 2. Creative product was affected through process in order of Technological entrepreneurship, PACAP, RACAP. 3. Intrinsic motivation strengthens the relation between Technological entrepreneurship and PACAP. 4. Extrinsic motivation strengthens the relation between PACAP and RACAP. This results will contribute to the improvement of Creativity and the utilization of external knowledge.

The Effect of Alcohol Advertising and Alcohol Sale Promotion Marketing Exposures on Alcohol-related Harms in Adult : Dual Mediating Effects of Drinking Motivation and Drinking Level (주류광고, 주류 판촉 마케팅이 성인 음주폐해에 미치는 영향: 음주동기와 음주수준의 이중매개효과)

  • This study examined the dual mediating effects of drinking motivation and drinking level between alcohol advertising, alcohol sale promotion marketing exposures, and alcohol-related harms. The survey has been conducted on 2,000 adult men and women aged 20 to 70 years, recruited by an online survey. As a result, it is found that alcohol advertising, alcohol sale promotion marketing exposures, drinking motivation, drinking level, alcohol-related harms appeared more in men than in women. In addition, alcohol advertising, alcohol sale promotion marketing exposures have positive effects on alcohol-related harms. Also, drinking motivation and drinking level partially mediate the effects of alcohol advertising, alcohol sale promotions marketing exposure, and alcohol-related harms. In order to prevent alcohol-related harms, a social environment that causes alcohol-related harms should be tightened regulations about alcohol advertising, alcohol sale promotion marketing exposures. Based on these results, this study discusses that needs the intervention not only personal perception but also social environment and regulations about alcohol advertising, alcohol sale promotion marketing.
