  • 기존 LED(Light Emitting Diode) 백라이트 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) TV 용 전원 장치는 다중출력 플라이백 컨버터를 사용하여 로직 보드, 영상 보드, LED 백라이트 등의 구동에 필요한 다양한 전원들을 생성, 공급한다. 특히, 기존에는 LED 백라이트의 구동을 위한 출력단에는 부스트 컨버터를 추가하여 LED 전류를 제어하였다. 따라서, 부스트 컨버터에 의한 부피 및 원가가 증가하는 단점이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 부스트 컨버터 없이 보조 스위치 하나만을 사용한 LED 구동회로를 이용하여 LED의 정전류 제어가 가능한 저 가격형 LED 구동회로의 비동기식 제어방법을 제안한다. 최종적으로 제안 회로를 32인치 LCD TV 용 LED 백라이트에 적용하여 그 실험 결과를 바탕으로 제안 회로의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • This paper describes the development of non-explosive separation(NES) device which can be equipped on a small satellite. It comprises mechanism itself and spring-type shape memory alloy(SMA) actuator. In order to design SMA actuator properly, the necessary actuation force is measured. Based on that result, SMA actuator is designed and fabricated. Finally, SMA actuator and the proposed mechanism are integrated. In order to evaluate performance of the developed NES, we carried out a response time test, preload test and shock level test. In near future, we expect to replace the imported NES device with the developed device.

  • Recently, the technology of aircraft drivers has been transitioning from the existing hydraulically-focused mechanical system to an all-electric one due to the high precision and ease of maintenance of electric drivers. Consequently, the failure of an aircraft's electric motor can have fatal consequences. To ensure aircraft safety, efficient and timely fault diagnosis methods are required prompting the active pursuit of research into fault diagnosis technology. This paper introduces and analyses the failure types and failure diagnosis technology trends of permanent magnet synchronous motors among electric motors.

  • Electro-mechanical actuator system for aircraft has advantages in compactness and its lightweight, compared to the hydraulic actuator system. Hinge line actuator has low air resistance and is suitable for special purpose such as stealth. This paper describes design contents of 10,000 lbf-in class dual redundant hinge line electro-mechanical actuator system for performance test. The control structure was designed to minimize impact of torque fighting. A mathematical model is proposed to analyze and validate the performances of actuator by comparison with experiment results.

Design of Synchronous 256-bit OTP Memory (동기식 256-bit OTP 메모리 설계)

  • In this paper is designed a 256-bit synchronous OTP(one-time programmable) memory required in application fields such as automobile appliance power ICs, display ICs, and CMOS image sensors. A 256-bit synchronous memory cell consists of NMOS capacitor as antifuse and access transistor without a high-voltage blocking transistor. A gate bias voltage circuit for the additional blocking transistor is removed since logic supply voltage VDD(=1.5V) and external program voltage VPPE(=5.5V) are used instead of conventional three supply voltages. And loading current of cell to be programmed increases according to RON(on resistance) of the antifuse and process variation in case of the voltage driving without current constraint in programming. Therefore, there is a problem that program voltage can be increased relatively due to resistive voltage drop on supply voltage VPP. And so loading current can be made to flow constantly by using the current driving method instead of the voltage driving counterpart in programming. Therefore, program voltage VPP can be lowered from 5.9V to 5.5V when measurement is done on the manufactured wafer. And the sens amplifier circuit is simplified by using the sens amplifier of clocked inverter type instead of the conventional current sent amplifier. The synchronous OTP of 256 bits is designed with Magnachip $0.13{\mu}m$ CMOS process. The layout area if $298.4{\times}314{\mu}m2$.

  • As the robot industry changes from industrial robot into personal robot used in home, the concept also changes from the existing fixed manipulator into Mobile Manipulator of free move in the aspect of appliance. For personal robot with such features, the role of mobile system is very important technology that rules the roost of robot functions. Especially, it is necessary to develop moving mechanism for free move in a narrow environment with obstacles such as home. This study introduces 3-axis structure in order to develop synchronous method that has turret capable of endless revolution for practical use as well as semi-omnidirectional function, and suggests applicable method to solve the problem of mechanical coupling.

  • 본 논문은 대면적 자기부상 스태이지의 정밀급 위치제어를 위한 시스템 구성 및 제어 알고리즘에 대한 연구결과를 기술한다. 자기부상 스태이지는 16개의 동기모터에 의해 구동되며, 각 모터의 Moving 부분에 수직방향의 힘과 수평방향의 힘을 모두 발생할 수 있도록 Halbach 구조로 되어 있다. Matlab/Simulink 모델링을 수행하였으며, Simulation 결과를 벼였다.

  • It is possible but not efficient to model and simulate asynchronous microprocessors with the existing HDLs(HARDware Description Languages) such as VHDL or Verilog. The reason it that the description becomes too complex. and also the simulation time becomes too long to explore the design space. Therefore it is necessary to establish a methodology and develop a tool for modeling the handshake protocol of asynchronous microprocessors very easily and simulating it very fast. Under this objective an efficient CAD(Computer Aided Design) tool SLEDS(System Level Event-Driven Simulator) was developed which can evaluate performance of a processor through modeling with a simple description an simulating with event driven engine in the system level. The ultimate goal in the tool SLEDS is to fin the optimal conditions for a system to produce high performance by balancing the delay of each module in the system. Besides SLEDS aims at verifying the design through comparing the expected results with the actual ones by performing the defined behavior.

  • 본 논문은 회전자에 영구자석을 사용한 2극 단상 브러시리스 모타에서의 기동토오크 특성에 관한 연구결과를 소개함에 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서와 같은 구조의 모타에서의 토오크는 전자기력에 의한 기동력과 코깅 토오크에 의한 영향력 두가지로 구분다. 본 논문에서는 기동토오크의 이론적 구조식을 유도하고, 문리 적 운동방정식과 결합하여 기동시 나타나는 특성을 나타내었다. 본 논문의 목적은 보다 보편적인 기동토오크에 의한 회전자의 운동을 구명하고자 함인데, 이 목적을 위하여 일반적 전원으로 사용하는 연속 직류전류가 아니라, 비연속적이고 정현파 형태의 일펄스 반파 전류를 전원으로 사용하였다. 이때 나타나는 임펄스 응답특성은, 전류를 흘렸을 때, 대부분의 경우 모타의 회전자는 전류의 주기와 다른 주기를 가지고 반회전하였다. 모타 회전자의 반전주기는 입력전압, 영구자석의 자화의 강도, 그리고 관성계수 및 마찰 계수와 같은 기계적 상수에 의해 영향을 받는 것을 알수 있는데, 반전주기 속도가 모타의 동기속도와 적절하지 않는 경우, 모타의 회전은 이루어 지지 않거나 심한 흔들림(CHATTERINC)의 현상이 나타남을 발견하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 모타의 회전자를 동기속도로 구동을 하도록 하기위한 조건을 구하였다.

  • This paper proposes a robust digital speed regulator for a surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM). The proposed speed controller uses a simple digital load disturbance resistance scheme which does not require a load torque observer, so it can be easily and simply implemented without degrading the control performance. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm, experimental results as well as simulation results are shown under motor parameter variations using a prototype SPMSM driving system. Finally, it was confirmed that the proposed method can precisely regulate the speed of the SPMSM.
