본 연구의 목적은 공공도서관 직원의 독서활동이 직무만족도와 조직몰입도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하는 것이다. 이는 기업에서 직원의 독서활동을 활성화하여 조직의 경쟁력을 높이는 경영기법인 독서경영과 문화경영이 직원의 직무만족과 조직몰입을 높인다는 선행연구들의 결과를 기반으로 하였다. 이에 서울시 동북부 지역 지자체 운영 공공도서관의 직원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 신뢰도 분석과 다중회귀분석을 통하여 데이터를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 공공도서관 직원의 독서량, 독서시간이 직무자체 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 이용자 독서모임 참여 기간이 사회적 인식 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 조직몰입에 대해서는 독서시간이 정서적 몰입도에, 이용자 독서모임 참여 기간은 지속적 몰입도와 규범적 몰입도에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다.

The aim of this study is to demonstrate the effectiveness of bibliotherapy program for university students. Bibliotherapy program was designed and apply to crash course of 'Library Science' at Graduate School of Library, Archive & Information Studies in Pusan National University for fall semester 2006. A evaluation way of bibliotherapy program was a self-evaluation method for 5 cases of 39 university students participated in bibliotherapy program with examining of self-identity. The results have two obtains. 1) This program has a effectiveness in change of inner world. 2) Bibliotherapy program has a effectiveness in establishing ego-identity of university students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of the reading guidance for the youth among personality types. This presented the desirable way of the reading guidance through the differences. For this study, the data was collected through observation and focus group interview while reading guidance was implemented among senior year elementary school students and middle school students. This study revealed the possibility of the reading guidance based on personality type. As a result of the reading guidance, this showed the differences between personality type and reading attitude; and between reading tendency and product writing of the youth.

This study is a case study with four classes of sophomore majoring in library ＆ information science in S woman's college, with a questionnaire, firstly to research the students' recognition of their experience on bibliotherapy and the time, their preference of the materials' genre for the bibliotherapy. usefulness of the bibliotherapy' subject, apply possibility into library work, and the field of science that must be supplemented for the bibliotherapy. Secondly. a direction of development is presented analyzing researched contents and lecture experiences, centering on the factors that should be complemented and prepared in studying or lecturing the course of bibliotherapy as a school subject in the field of library ＆ information science hereafter.

The purpose of this study is to research the concepts of reading ability and debate ability, and the components of both abilities and to make the performance assessment's standards to apply them to the classroom for reading debate in the school libraries. For doing this, I studied the necessity of reading debate, assessment, and the components of reading/debate abilities. The components of the reading and debate abilities were derived from the theoretical researches and the performance assessment's standards for the reading debate were proposed in the viewpoint of the teacher librarians and classroom teachers in the school libraries in order that the teacher librarians and teachers could apply them to the reading debate classes and assess the performance achievement of the students.

Public libraries and the Library & Information Sciences departments at Korean universities are increasingly interested in the application of a variety of bibliotherapy methods. Bibliotherapy serves as a therapy to understand a client and participants basic material sources and the effects of that particular treatment (necessary for program verification of psychological tools utilized). Its design is based both on literature selection and employed activities tools. Currently, bibliotherapy has been used mainly as a method to understand and diagnose a client and participants using simple and uniform questions. The development of appropriate and, possibly, additional assessment tools and report forms required for bibliotherapy evaluations in this study will be applied to actual case scenarios to determine the validity of this program and/or tools.

The purpose of this study is to assist librarians in developing a biblographic tool for the bibliotherapy. Bibliotherapy is a form of psychotherapy in which carefully selected reading materials are used to assist a subject in solving personal problems or for other therapeutic purposes. However, bibliotherapy has rarely been either studied or practiced in Korea. For a bibliographic tool which is called 'situational bibliography', a client situation has to be classified by the factors of biological place and personal relations, type of stress or symptoms. This study, in this regard, is examined related recent researches in the field of psychology or psychoanalysis. Main conclusions made in this study are summarized as follows : The most important factors to classify a client situation in a bibliographic tool are sex, age, home background, personal relations and mental health issues.

The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe the characteristics of reading environment for the teens and their reading behavior in the U.S.A. Some researches and statistics on the reading behavior of young students in the U.S.A., the U.K. and Ireland were examined, and the reading environments for the teens in society and at schools and home were described. The development of school media centers since the 1950s and services for young adults in public libraries in the U.S.A. confirms that government, school, society and home should altogether cooperate in order to help students read more and build better reading environment for the teens.

The purpose of this study is to develop a test tool that can be measured in various aspects for the reading attitudes of children. For that it was set the configuration based on the preceding reading attitude survey and models and tacit knowledge of attitude toward reading and wrote the questions for reading attitudes. It conducted a primary and secondary test for elementary school students in grades 4-6 to verify the validity and reliability of measurement tools. 8 factors of the reading attitudes measurement tool were extracted through exploratory factor analysis and it described 66.29% of total variable. the r-value for inter-item consistency about reading attitudes were above 0.4 on all questions. The Cronbach ${\alpha}$-value of reliability coefficient about reading attitudes measurement tool was 0.950. Therefore Reading attitude test tool have reading usefulness, reading efficacy, leisure, stiumulation, flow, expression, study, assertiveness as sub factors of reading attitude has been shown that it can serve as a useful tool for measuring various aspects of the reading attitude for children.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the different types of reading instruction programs and reading methods influenced the creative ability and the self-directed learning ability, They were divided into two groups. Class A was taught to use 'The Author-Reader-Inquirer Cycle'. which concentrated on the writing-centered reading program model. Class B was taught to use 'The Literature Circles'. which concentrated on the speaking and listening-centered reading program model. After reading instruction. the creative ability and the self-directed learning ability increased. The writing-centered reading instruction was more effective than the speaking and listening-centered reading instruction. The reading instruction during the long-period was more effective than that during the short-period. The 'intensive reading' among the reading methods had a significant influence on the creative ability and the self-directed learning ability.
