Currently, China's urban space is gradually changing from gradual development to inventory transformation. The planning and development goals of urban communities have also shifted from material space construction to the direction of sustainable development of humanities and society. Currently, community planning and construction at a single latitude, which focuses on residential life, overlooks the multidimensional elements of community life production, causing many problems such as cold relationships between communities and difficulties in forming relationships between humans and the environment. Therefore, this article re-recognizes the sociality of the community in the continuous unification of the community in time and space, clarifies the central and private aspects of the community, and re-explores the dynamic creation and methods of the community as the starting point of daily life.

The diversity of urban landscapes is established by dynamic characteristics such as language, color, and their movement, which are the building environment, street patterns, and people. With the increase of foreign migrants in Korea, new guidelines are needed in terms of local community administration and land policy. Administrative, sociological, and geographical studies have been conducted on the steadily increasing number of foreign migrants since the 2000s, but it is difficult to establish for making safe and healthy communities through which different cultures and lifestyles of each country and ethnic group undergo some integration with the existing host society. There are limitations in identifying the lack of statistical data and the representation of a minority proportion of foreign residents. In order to analyze the core elements of the integrated strategy of the local community, the residential behavior and spatial characteristics of foreign migrants must first be identified.
Over the past decade, urban regeneration projects have been actively promoted nationwide in South Korea, leading to the establishment of numerous community facilities aimed at fostering community engagement and revitalization. Recently, the need for diagnostic tools to provide appropriate support and guidance for the sustainable operation of these facilities has been increasingly emphasized. However, a comprehensive manual or nationwide standard approach remains lacking. As such, this study aims to propose evaluation criteria and their application methods for the periodic operational assessment of those facilities. First, through a review of previous studies, candidate indicators were identified. After that, preliminary indicators and frameworks were determined through expert consultations, followed by surveys conducted with 65 experts to finalize the evaluation indicators. The survey results highlighted the importance of 'Value Creation (VC)' and 'Operation Management (OM)' as key aspects of facility evaluation. In assessing VC, key factors include enhancing community vitality, strengthening local capacity, providing tailored functions for the community, and contributing to the local economy. In constructing OM, the focus lies on operational system, financial management, operational personnel, and economic viability and sustainability. This study proposes an evaluation framework that includes the final evaluation indicators and available data sources for each indicator, and a pilot test was conducted to verify its applicability. Moreover, the study suggests directions for utilizing the evaluation criteria and methods for applying indicators tailored to the characteristics of individual facilities.

In 2010, Busan Metropolitan City established an organization dedicated to urban regeneration. The Sanbok Road Renaissance Project and Hope Village Project are representative urban regeneration projects. Busan Metropolitan City is a leading local government that has expanded community business through urban policies. This study analyzed the operational status and characteristics of community-based community businesses based in Busan Metropolitan City in the early stages of urban regeneration policy. As a result, the direction of community-based community business is 'community empowerment'. However, the project effects such as 'expansion of opportunities for local residents to help each other' and 'residents' understanding of the local community' were low. In order to operate a community business, it is important to secure sufficient business capital and secure necessary human resources. In order to revitalize community-based community businesses through urban regeneration policies, it is necessary to convert support into functional organizations of urban regeneration projects rather than expanding subsidies and expand opportunities for business participation.

Due to rapid urbanization and industrialization in Korea urban environmental problems such as changes in climate and shortage in green spaces and social problems such as lacks of interactions with neighbors have occurred and community garden appeared as one means to solve such problems. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively identify the evaluation items to measure the effect of community gardens. This study comprehensively researched the evaluation items through literature studies of domestic and overseas documents and verified their contents through case studies of domestic site. As a result of this study, a total of 39 measurement items for evaluation was identified and these items were divided into five large categories of "eco-environmental effect," "production and economic effect," "physical effect," "psychological effect," and "social effect" and these categories could be subdivided into 12 types. This paper develops the argument that the 'Healthy Cities Approach' extends beyond the boundaries of officially designated Healthy Cities and suggests that signs of it are evident much more widely in efforts to promote health in the United Kingdom and in national policy. It draws on examples from Leeds, a major city in the north of England. In particular, it suggests that efforts to improve population health need to focus on the wider determinants and that this requires a collaborative response involving a range of different sectors and the participation of the community. Inequality is recognised as a major issue and the need to identify areas of deprivation and direct resources towards these is emphasised. Childhood poverty is referred to and the importance of breaking cycles of deprivation. The role of the school is seen as important in contributing to health generally and the compatibility between Healthy Cities and Health Promoting Schools is noted. Not only can Health Promoting Schools improve the health of young people themselves they can also develop the skills, awareness and motivation to improve the health of the community. Using child pedestrian injury as an example, the paper argues that problems and their cause should not be conceived narrowly. The Healthy Cities movement has taught us that the response, if it is to be effective, should focus on the wider determinants and be adapted to local circumstances. Instead of simply attempting to change behaviour through traditional health education we need to ensure that the environment is healthy in itself and supports healthy behaviour. To achieve this we need to develop awareness, skills and motivation among policy makers, professionals and the community. The 'New Health' education is proposed as a term to distinguish the type of health education which addresses these issues from more traditional forms.
This study examined the effect of family cohesion and perception of age-friendly environment on sense of community and the mediating role of perception of age-integration in those relationships by regions. To that end, we used survey data collected from a nation-wide survey from adults who are aged 20 to 85 (N=1,200). ANOVA, structural equation models and bootstrapping mediation tests were conducted. The results showed that family cohesion and one sub-dimension of the age-friendly environment- social participation- increased sense of community in all three regions. Also, perception of age-integration partially mediated the relationship between family cohesion and sense of community in the Metropolitan areas and small cities as well as the relationship between social participation and sense of community in all three regions. Based on the results, authors discussed ways to increase family cohesion and social participation to enhance sense of community.
