This study illustrates the necessity and feasible process of constructing local collections in public libraries. One of the important responsibilities of public libraries is to collect, preserve, and provide local information in order to enhance the identity of the region and local culture and to maintain and preserve the social memory of the community. However, as the subjects and types of local information are diverse and are owned and scattered by various persons and organizations in the local community, it is difficult to collect materials and build collections. There is, as a result, a lot of confusion in the library field. Focusing on the case of a few public libraries that hold good local collections, this study attempted to add suggestions to build a local collection containing regional history and locality and to promote related services.

The Purpose of this study is to point out some attributes of intrinsic and social background and status attainment process and a life-style of public library directors in KOREA. The data obtained from 188 respondents in 1999 were used for analysis. Some of the main findings are as follows： $\circled1$ The majority of the directors has a career as a teacher or local public administrators rather than a librarian. $\circled2$ The birth places of the directors are scattered all over the country. and those who were born in rural area account for about of all respondents. In rural area. it might be difficult for them to access information on newly developing profession like librarianship. $\circled3$ Although the educational level of directors themselves is higher than general public. $\circled4$ Library schools which give students high grade knowledge and training of library and information science are not so many, and hence directors are primarily local public administrators rather than qualified librarians. $\circled5$ Many directors did not aspire to become librarians. rather they got the post after they had been working as a teachers or lawyer, local public administrators. $\circled6$ If the library services of better quality are provided all over the country, urban or rural, and library schools in higher education are developed and have much more satisfactory substance, and abler library directors. And then we can expect that the qualified librarians's director system in public libraries will become an accomplished fact.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the pattern of book review in the daily newspaper. Literature and social science are relatively main subject area reviewed at the daily Donga, Hankuk Mail. Each newspaper has different size of page that make much differences in quantity and quality of reviewed books, bookreviewers, and book reviews. Frequency of daily newspapers assure comparatively short timelag-intervals between publication date and review date.

2007년도에는 그 어느 해보다 많은 변화가 예상된다. 각 단체의 새해구상에서도 대부분 언급되고 있듯이, 도서관법 개정으로 대통령 소속 도서관정보위원회 및 문화부 내 도서관 정책기획단 설립, 광역단체의 지역대표도서관 지정과 지방도서관정보서비스위원회 구성 등 정책시스템의 전면개편 등이 이루어질 것이며, 이로인해 정부와 도서관인들의 노력과 열정이 더 한층 요구된다. 디즈니 전 CEO인 마이클 아이스너는 구성원이 갖고 있는 열정과 창의력에 대한 믿음을 "나는 누구든지 자신의 내면에 깊이 숨겨진 새로운 창조의 원천을 찾을 수 있다고 확신한다. 깊이를 짐작할 수 없는 열정의 원천을 건드릴 때, 그 힘은 기업의 성과에 엄청난 영향을 미칠 것이다." 라고 표현했다. 열정은 또 다른 기회를 만들어 주는 강력한 에너지다. 더욱 발전된 도서관문화를 창출할 수 있는 이 기회를 잘 활용해 2007년에는 내실있고 풍성한 결신을 얻을 수 있기를 바란다.

연안여객운송은 도서와 육지의 인적 및 물적 교류가 이루어질 수 있도록 하는 유일한 교통수단으로서 그 중요성이 매우 크다. 그럼에도 불구하고 연안여객선에서의 수익성이 낮다는 이유로 그 중요성을 인식하지 못하고 있는 것이 사실이다. 그렇지만 앞으로의 연안여객 수요에 따라 향후 도서민들에게 안정적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해 선박의 추가 투입 및 시설 확충을 위한 의사결정에서 가장 기본이 되는 것이 연안여객의 수요를 예측하는 것이다. 본 논문 에서는 가장 많은 여객 수요를 가지고 있는 제주지역 중에서도 세월호 이후에 끊긴 인천과 제주 항로에 초점을 맞추어 연구를 진행할 것이다. 2007년 1월부터 2013년 12월 까지 84개의 월별 자료를 바탕으로 예측 기법 중에서도 계량적 기법인 시계열 분석을 통해 여객 수요를 예측하고자 한다. 예측 작업에 있어 항상 우수한 성과를 보이는 단 하나의 모형은 존재하지 않기 때문에 예측에 수반된 불확실성을 줄이기 위해 다양한 예측모형을 사용한다. 여러 방법론 중에서 가장 적합도가 높은 모형을 찾아 여객 수요를 예측하고 결과를 도출하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 국내 문헌정보학 프로그램의 현황과 문제점을 고찰한 후, 이와 개선을 통하여 효율적인 교육과정의 개선방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 질적인 서술방식과 계량적연구를 병행하여 수행하였다. 질적인 연구에서는 기존의 연구결과와 현황에 근거한 문헌정보학의 최근 동향에 대하여 서술하고, 기록보존 관련과목과 사서교사교육과정과 관련된 내용에 대하여 고찰하였다. 계량적 연구의 수행을 위하여는 먼저 문헌정보학을 3개분야 (도서관학, 정보학, 서지학과 기타분야), 15개 세부영역으로 나누어 분류하였다. 이 분류방식에 근거하여 준비된 설문지를 사용하여 대구경북지역 내 도서관 현장근무자 및 재학생들의 요구를 파악하기 위하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 206개의 이용가능한 데이터를 수집하여 여러 종류의 기술적, 추리적 통계분석방법과 SPSS를 사용하여 분석한 계량적 연구의 주요발견사항을 함께 기술하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 급속히 변화되는 사회 및 교육환경에 맞는 문헌정보학 교육과정의 개편에 일조할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

최근 해양에너지플랜트 및 도서지역을 연결시키기 위한 해저 파이프라인 및 통신, 전력 케이블 매설공사가 빈번하게 이루어지고 있다. 특히, 연안항로를 가로지르는 해저케이블 매설공사에는 준설장비를 동원하여 해저부를 굴착하고 케이블을 부설한 후 상단을 덮어 보호하는 일련의 작업과정이 행해지며 이 과정에서 해저저질의 상태, 준설심도, 조류 또는 연안류의 흐름강도, 수심, 통항선박 등 다양한 조건에 따라 단면의 굴착심도 및 폭이 결정되며, 작업의 순서 또는 방법에 따라 여굴의 정도도 변하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 서해안 실제해역에서 연안 도서를 연결하는 전력, 통신망의 개통을 위한 해저케이블 부설과 관련한 굴착단면의 실태를 실제 현장여건과 관련해서 적정단면과 준설물량의 산정을 다루어 해저환경변화에 대처하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 대상해역에서 주요설계 지침에 따른 해저부 굴착단면의 평가와 적정단면을 검토하였으며, 이 단면에 따른 준설 적정물량을 산정하여 작업공정에 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.

This study was carried out to analyze Pinus densiflora forest in islets of southwestern coast of the Korean peninsula by the phytosociological methods. As a result of the investigation of 26 quadrats, the pine forest was classified two communities and six subcommunities : Ardisia japonica - Pinus densiflora community and lsodon japonicus - Pinus densiflora community, and Farfugium japonicum subcommunity, Quercus serrata subcommunity, Typical subcommunity of Ardisia japonica - P. densiflora community, Juniperus rigida subcommunity, Pourthiaea villosa subcommunity and Typical subcommunity of lsodon japonicus - P. densiflora community. The subsidiary knowledges from this study provide practical information to clarify the syntaxonomy of natural pine forest of the Korean peninsula by the phytosociological methods.

이 대담 시리즈는 학교도서관에 대한 도서관계 안팎의 관심을 높이고 현단계 학교도서관 운동이 나아갈 길을 모색해보려는 취지에서 시도된 것이다. 과거 학교도서관 운동을 주도하였거나 오랫동안 학교도서관 현장을 지켜온 인물들을 찾아 그들의 경험과 의식속에 쌓여 있는 역사를 끌어내어 오늘을 비추어 보고 내일을 전망하는 계기로 삼을 것이다. 이번 대담에서 만난 사람은 도서관에 기반을 둔 하교 교육의 실현을 위해 40여 년의 세월을 교육 현장에 바쳐온 박태신 선생이다. 선생은 일찍이 1950년대부터 학교도서관과 인연을 맺어 부산 경남 지역을 중심으로 학교도서관 운동을 선도하였으며, 교감(1966-1972), 부산시교육위원회 장학사(1973-1975), 교장(1976-1990) 등의 역할을 통하여 학교도서관이 있는 인간교육의 실천을 몸으로 보여왔다. 그리고 지금도 변함없이 도서관과 교육 문제에 대한 깊은 열정과 왕성한 활동을 지속하는 젋은 도서관인이다. 대담 일시 : 1998년 2월 13일 오후 2시-4시 30분 대담 장소 : 부산교육대학 앞 [늘노래선교단] 사무실

빅데이터가 일상이 된 현대 사회에서 책 시장의 증가와 책 양의 증가로 인하여 책을 개인에 맞게 선택하는데 어려움이 있다. 그래서 개인 맞춤 추천 시스템이 필요하다. 개인 맞춤 추천 시스템에서 가장 많이 사용하는 방법은 협업 필터링 방법이 있다. 협업 필터링은 희박성 문제를 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 협업 필터링 방법에 희박성 문제를 해결하기 위하여 지역, 나이, 성별, 장르 등 개인 성향을 이용하고, 기존의 책 리뷰를 오피니언 마이닝 기법을 적용하여 개인 맞춤형 도서를 추천하는 추천시스템을 제안한다.
