대학도서관 웹사이트는 도서관의 이용을 원활하게 하고 정보자료에의 접근을 용이하게 하기 위해서 구성된다. 따라서, 웹사이트를 통해 도서관 서비스에 대한 안내, 이용자의 편의를 위한 온라인 참고봉사 서비스, 과거 수동적인 자세가 아닌 능동적인 정보제공서비스 뿐만 아니라 다양한 이용자의 사용행태를 파악하여 이를 통해서 서비스의 질을 높이고, 이용자의 요구사항을 파악하여 도서관 서비스를 개선해나가는 것이 중요한 화두가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 충남대학교 도서관 웹사이트를 대상으로 설문조사(Questionnaire)와 발견적 평가(Heuristic Evaluation)를 통해서 대학도서관 웹사이트의 사용성에 있어서의 문제점을 발견하고 개선점을 제시한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the ways to improve public library community information services in the Internet environment. It first examines the concepts and current contexts of community information flow, illustrates successful cases of public library community information services, and then, suggests public libraries provide gateways to the community information on the Internet. The needs for research to guide public library community information services and continuing education for public librarians are also presented.

LAI(Library Assited Instruction) distinguished from classroom instruction viewpoint of use of school libraries's material and collaborative with teacher librarian. Thus LAI must be emphasized student's information activities and teacher librarian's support activities. This study is supposed to LAI model (information presentation-guide type, information search-organization type. information analysis Interpretation type, information synthesis-representation type, information query-projects type, information query-discussion type) based on student's information activities. The student's information activities were derived from the model of information use process. The Model of proposed LAI is constructed the role of classroom teacher, teacher librarian, student and the process of LAI process.

디지털도서관은 전통적인 도서관의 역할과 함께 새로운 형태의 전자자원과 웹자원을 열람할 수 있는 시설과 기기를 이용자에게 제공함으로써 IT환경에 익숙한 이용자들에게 검증된 어떤 형태의 정보자원도 제공하는 도서관이다. NDL은 국립중앙도서관의 부서이지만 별도의 공간에서 디지털정보자원만으로 도서관 서비스를 제공하여 명실상부한 디지털도서관의 원형을 구현하였다. 이에 따라 이 연구에서는 NDL의 구성원들의 디지털도서관의 운영고도화를 위한 설문을 바탕으로 디지털도서관 운영모델을 제안하였다. 디지털 도서관의 성공적인 운영을 위한 주요 요인은 조직의 전문성을 비롯하여, 제도적 정보자원의 확보, 정보활용교육에 기반한 홍보방안 수립 등이었다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the current state of webzine publications in Korean university libraries. We assess the menu, composition and contents of various types of webzines at thirty six different Korean university libraries. Highlights of our survey include the following: 1) Most university libraries operate several different webzine sites. 2) Categories included in library webzines mainly include 'Notices', 'Academic Database Information', 'Current Books', 'Recommended Reading', 'Utilization of Information', 'Book Review', 'Tips for Using the Library', 'Special Issues', 'Service Information', 'Quiz', 'Column', 'Special Events'. 3) Of these, the most popular categories were: 'Notices', 'Service Information', 'Tips for Using the Library', 'Special Issues', and 'Recommended Reading'.

The prototype of a library is analysed upon the facts that are generalized and recognized as commonsense. On the extension of the prototype, a digital library is considered. Ultimately the libraries' prototype should be steady at any time. A library which is being a digital library to which the best technology at that time applies, should function as the creator of the value by publishing, circulating, and re-production of the information resources.

A system of networked digital libraries will be a primary component of information infra-structure. The general strategy for digital libraries by the American university libraries is summarized as building of information infrastructure, content database construction, and project-based design. This paper describes the present feature and status of digital libray programs being implemented by the libraries of Michigan University, Carnegie Mellon University and Virginia PolyTech & State University.

This study suggests a fundamental contents role model for multimedia school library. The purpose of this study is to review information services in public libraries based on web sites. Four evaluation criteria. interface. searching, contents and communication are usually used to measure web sites. Because interface and searching are contained hardware elements, these are not included to this review. For this study contents and communication are examined into operating at public libraries web sites. Also analyzed is gateway function providing community information services and researchers information.
