In this paper, rail vibration and its sound radiation are investigated, then the rail noise measurement by using microphone array is explored theoretically. A concrete slab track for domestic high speed trains is modeled as a Timoshenko beam on elastic support, regarding the moving of the excitation force on the rail. From the radiation characteristics of rail noise generated by a line source, the effect of moving load on sound radiation is obtained. Also it is found that the beam angle of the microphone array is a prominent factor to measure the rail noise level reliably because the rail noise propagates as a plane wave. In this investigation, a proper beam angle for the rail noise measurement by microphone array is suggested.

The main purpose of this paper is to critically examine the intractable problems of Peirce's notion of 'symbol' as a higher and perfect mode of sign, and present a more appropriate account of the higher status of symbol from an experientialist perspective. Peirce distinguished between icon, index, and symbol, and suggested symbol to be a higher mode of sign, in that it additionally requires "interpretation." Within Peirce's picture, the matter of interpretation is to be explained in terms of "interpretant," while icon or index are not. However, Peirce's conception of "interpretant" itself remains fraught with intractable opacities, thereby leaving the nature of symbol in a misty conundrum. Drawing largely on the experientialist account of the nature and structure of symbolic experience, I try to explicate the complexity of symbol in terms of "the symbolic mapping." According to experientialism, our experience consists of two levels, i.e., physical and symbolic. Physical experience can be extended to symbolic level largely by means of "symbolic mapping," and yet is strongly constrained by physical experience. Symbolic mapping is the way in which we map part of certain physical experience onto some other area, thereby understanding the other area in terms of the mapped part of the physical experience. According to this account, all the signs, icon, index, and symbol a la Peirce, are constructed by way of symbolic mapping. While icon and index are constructed by mapping physical level experience onto some signifier(i.e. Peirce's "representamen"), symbol is constructed by mapping abstract level experience onto some signifier. Considering the experientialist account that abstract level of experience is constructed by way of symbolic mapping of physical level of experience, the symbolic mapping of abstract level of experience onto some other area is a secondary one. Thus, symbol, being constructed by way of secondary or more times mapping, becomes a higher level sign. This analysis is based on the idea that explaining the nature of sign is a matter of explaining that symbolic experience, leaving behind Peirce's realist conception of sign as a matter of an event or state of affairs out there. In conclusion, I suggest that this analysis will open up new possibilities for a more appropriate account of the nature of signs, beyond Peirce's complicated riddles.

The purpose of this article is to investigate communal action in the Ox Seeking Pictures of Daesoon Thought as an expression of future prospects. The Ox Seeking Pictures in Daesoon Thought seeks out renewal of thought, renewal of life, and true living. Here, the Ox Seeking Pictures symbolize a world in which good fortune comes true according to faith in Gucheon Sangje. The correlation between searching for the ox and the supporting teachings of the Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth in Daesoon shows the transformation of Daesoon prospects for achieving the renewal of thought. The correlation between Deep Contemplation Leading to Awakening and Finding and Following Heavenly Teachings shows the transformation of Daesoon reason into a practice implemented in daily life. The correlation between a human being's awareness and the heavenly paradise of the Later World shows transformation into true living based on everyday practice and the practical transformation of one's livelihood. In this investigation, we can say that the Ox Seeking Pictures of Daesoon symbolizes the realization of human dignity and respect for lives. No life should be destroyed or violated by another. Heaven, Earth, and Humanity can be changed and born anew. The visions of the realization of the heavenly paradise of the Later World show that this paradise in the world results from Daesoon principles. This provides a unique insight when compared to the bodhisattva ideal conveyed through the Ox Seeking Pictures of Mahayana Buddhism. Daesoon's Ox Seeking Pictures consist of a three-way interlocking of renewal of thought, implementation in life, and the practical transformation of one's livelihood. The communal spirituality based in Daesoon Truth connects and mediates among people and appears in three aspects. Firstly, it is thought to be a vision of the renewal of thought through the 'Virtuous Concordance of Yin and Yang.' Secondly, it is thought to be the vision of a new life based upon the spirit of Mutual Beneficence. Thirdly, it is thought to be a vision of true living through the realization of human dignity. Because of the appearance of the Ox Seeking Pictures of Daesoon Thought, this narrative picture shows the oxherd as searching for an ox which is the symbol of Daesoon Truth and Dao. Even though he catches the ox, he is still holds the rope to tie the ox to himself. He makes an effort to keep the ox steady. Finally, the oxherd's enlightenment becomes the source of responsibility to help unenlightened people in their struggles. In conclusion, it is necessary to interpret these paintings as the start of the Later World.

A semiotic approach to modem visual arts has emerged since French post-structuralism was introduced to Anglo -American academics by "deconstruction" or "postmodemi sm." It views a work of art as a sign, which is its math odical assumption and, at the same time, makes its appli cation more accessible. In the milieu of modem visual arts' effort to be intimate with general audience, modem art photography is now fared with the request to be a familar and universal domain, instead of being left only in photo books as artistic and academic achievements. More specifically, various photo images puter graphics to such megaexhibitions as "Gwangju Biennale,. "Media City Seo ul," and "Pusan International Art Festival," are main objects of study. A coherent and scientific analysis of visual semitotics is still on the way, however, it is an urgent task how to read and interpret a photo image with multiple meanings. This study argues that visual seniotics can be a powerful tool to enhance the understanding of art photography. After all, seniotics is a product of age； we live in the age of legibility, that is, of reading the work of art well as the social events and phenomena. art well as the social events and phenomena.

Emulsions are a class of disperse systems consisting of two immiscible liquids. Emulsions are affected by the size of oil drop, the type of continuous and disperse phase, the ratio of continuous and disperse phase, the type of emulsifies and emulsification devices. This study is to observe the viscosity of emulsions with oil polarities and interpret the results by organic conceptual diagram. The emulsions were made with hydrocarbon, ester and silicone oils and then the viscosity of emulsions was measured. As the oil polarity was increased, the viscosity of emulsion was decreased by reducing the amount of emulsifies and emulsion stabilizers arranged at interface. Organic conceptual diagram was used to compare the polarities among oils numerically. The interpretation of organic conceptual diagram and the results of experimental measurement were corresponded except emulsion made with silicone oil.

Route design in topographical plane map brings many problems in efficiency and requires much time and labor by hand Recently, the active studies of efficient route design method using 3-D terrain information are being developed according to increasing concentration on GSIS. In order to analyze terrain information for route design efficiently, this study presents objective and overall datum by applying SQL in construction and analysis of database and the possibility of three-dimensional terrain information analysis, This study generates 3-D base map on topographical map of scale 1:5,000 and acquires terrain information that have various thematic map data; contour, land use, roadway, and drange. This is a study on the application of SQL in route design and construction of the terrain information that linked by graphic datum of completed topographical map and attributed datum of database. As the result of this study, we can produce promptly and efficiently design datum of profile annotation, cross section, and volume computations to the preliminary route for route design and apply this efficient method to route design by understanding visual DTM which is composed of the roadway and the natural scene after design.

위성은 일단 한 번 발사하고 나면 운용궤도상에서 수리 및 회수가 거의 불가능하기 때문에 위성에 들어가는 모든 개발 부품들은 완벽한 설계, 충분한 해석, 고 작업도의 제작, 그리고 다양한 시험이 반드시 수반되어야 한다. 위성시스템에서 전자 소자의 신뢰성에 영향을 주는 인자는 다양하다. 과도한 열은 전자소자의 실패를 유발해서 결과적으로는 전체 위성의 실패를 유도할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 다목적 실용위성 2호의 고전력 소산 전장품의 열부하 완화를 위한 방안을 경우별로 연구 비교하였다. 고전력 소산 전장품의 열부하를 완화하기 위해서는 하우징 두께의 증가가 필요하며, 전력조절기의 다이오드나 트랜지스터처럼 전력소산이 큰 소자에 대해서는 장착위치를 변경하거나 장착 부분의 열전도율을 증가시키는 방법이 필요하다. 또한 전력조절기처럼 장착면이 좁은 경우에는 복사의 영향이 크며, 이러한 전장품의 열부하를 완화하기 위해서는 주위 벽면의 온도를 낮추거나 하우징 표면 방사율을 증가시키는 방법이 효과적임이 알 수 있다.

The orbit ephemeris of Global Positioning System(GPS) is one element to determine the surveying accuracy and there are broadcasting ephemeris and precise ephemeris, IGS rapid orbit and IGS ultra rapid orbit in the orbit ephemeris of GPS. In this study, test area was selected in Uljin, Kyungsanbukdo and GPS surveying was accomplished at 37 points in the test area. Then baseline solution was done on 74 baseline using broadcasting ephemeris and precise ephemeris and analysis by TGO and the results were compared. Comparison results were showed that there were nearly no difference between the two results but in case of relative precision of the baseline, it was slightly better the baseline results of precise ephemeris which showed 0.706ppm than the baseline results of broadcasting ephemeris which showed 0.708ppm.

The first purpose of this paper is to design brand logo sign analysis frame, 'SCoL'(Analysis frame of signification and communication for the brand logo). It has semiotic view and communication function. And the second is to prove propriety of the suggested frame by application to social media brand logos. The SCoL frame is based on 4 features of logo sigh to have analytic consistency. Also, it covers whole semiological process with index, icon, symbol as signification understanding and reach communication step with Jakobson's theory. As the results, the findings are follow; The SCoL frame can be useful to get comprehensive semiotic understandings and communication functions about logo signs. The social media brands build their own meaning area with logo signs and they depend on different communication function.

This study is based on semiotic analysis with a focus on film 'Veteran'. The film is to the reproduced movie in the sign for social problems facing our society. The purpose of this study is to interpreted the implication is that referents and presents of the film to be directed by semiotic. The methodology is the study that the Saussure's semiology as a signifier and signified, and Peirce's semiotic as iconic, index, symbols in contemporary scholars. The Semiotics is analyzed on the basis myth and ideology of Barth. The film director thinks the 'veteran' was replaced by the implications of the role of the actor as a signifier that is the out referent of our society. Thus, the film was sublimated into more than the real as myth in our society desires. So, our society is to implement the right ideas as ideologies process. that is, rewarding the good and punishing the evil, and eventually implement justice society. The implications of this study is going to create a society that is not for specific groups tycoon, is for mutual dependence like the interpretation of the song of the film veteran.
