We propose an algorithm for video effects of sports broadcasting that informs TV viewers of a sports player's sequential performing forms and locus in detail when gymnastic game such as 'vault' is broadcasted. It records the image sequences while a player is performing, extracts only the player's performing forms from background scenes by a proposed algorithm, superposes them sequentially on a background scene, and broadcasts them with slow speed. This system named as 'Multi-Motion' has ever been used in NHK live broadcasting for 1995 World Gymnastics Championships held in Japan.

The critical current of the HTS(High Temperature Superconductor) tape is governed by cooling temperature, magnetic field and its angle to HTS tape originated from its geometrical structure. At the HTS coil design stage, the critical current of the coil is calculated by considering the Ic-B characteristics of the 2G tape and the operating current is determined based on the critical current. The operating current and the structure of the 5 T coil are suggested through the FEM (Finite Elements Method) analysis and calculation. As a part of our on-going research on a 20 T LTS/HTS magnet, we have designed and constructed a 5 T HTS insert coil and tested it in liquid helium temperature.

To improve the growth of mouse hybridoma 2c3.1 secreting anti-Hepatitis B surface antigen monoclonal antibody (anti-HBsAg MAb), we had constructed an enriched medium and observed the effects of fetal bovine serum and serum-free supplements including human serum albumin, 'insulin and transferrin', and monoethanolamine. For further enhancement of growth, the concentrations of two major energy sources, glucose and glutamine, were strengthened with various ratios in the enriched medium. Maximum cell growth and monoclonal antibody production obtained in various ratios of glucose/glutamine with an inoculation concentration of 2$\times$105 cells/ml were 0.73$\times$106-4.62$\times$106 cells/ml and 65.1-422.6 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml, respectively. Glutamine was round to be a major energy source and a limiting nutrient in comparison to glucose for 2c3.1 cell cultivation in enriched media with low serum.

We already fabricated a proto-type HTS charging system with photovoltaic (PV) system and obtained design parameters for DC converter and HTS charging system. In order to develop the real scale charging system efficiently, we suggested a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller using a perturb and observe (P&O) MPPT algorithm for PV system. In this paper, we designed and simulated the MPPT controller for the real scale HTS charging system. As well as, the PV module has been analyzed by solving solar cell equivalent equations. The simulated and theoretical results presented here are being considered the next study which addresses the design and fabrication parameters.

The tomato plant, Lycopersicon esculentum Mill, was inoculated with tumor inducing strain, $A_6K_1$, of Agrobacterium tumefaciens and its produced tumors were examined with the electron microscope. A number of bacteria are usually detected in the intercellular region of the host plant, and it is observed that the host cytoplasm is readily destroyed in the region where the bacterial invasion occurred. Some of the bacteria in the host tissues are enclosed with the single unit membranes, in other locations lots of bacteroids were examined and the bacterial lysis is generally observed in those bacteroids. The bacterial movement in the tumor tissue and some peculiar relationships between the pathogens and the host plant are discussed.

This study was performed to determine optimum approaches for control of microorganisms in school refectories and kitchens. A reduction of more than 5.0 log CFU/mL was noted for Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella Typhimurium, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus mutans after treatment with 5 ppm ozone water for 60 s. Treatment of different vegetables with ozone water for 5 min showed bactericidal effects with 2-4 log reduction of viable cell number; the bactericidal effects differed according to the kinds of vegetables. The viable cell number on kitchen apparatus and tableware was not detected by ozone water treatment for 60 s. In addition, the count of the bacteria floating in the air in refectories and kitchens decreased 2.0 log CFU/1,000 L air to 0-1 CFU/1,000 L air on treatment with 45 ppm ozone gas for 12 hr. Therefore, ozone water and ozone gas may be good candidates as antimicrobial agents that can be used to improve sanitary conditions in school refectories and kitchens.

This survey was performed to investigate the actual holding conditions of the electric tools, gas tools and small cooking tools in the four Korean big cities; Seoul, Pusan, Kwangju and Taejon. The results were as follows; 1. Each family had more than 8 items on the average, of 24 kinds of electric tools under investigation. The holding ratio of refrigerators was the highest (99.6%), and that of dish washers was the lowest (3.4%). 2. The holding ratio of gas-ranges was the highest(92.2%) and that of gas-ovens was the lowest (2.2%) of 4 kinds of gas tools under investigation. 3. Each family had more than 45 items on the average, of 86 kinds of small cooking tools under investigation. The holdings ratios of openers and wicker baskets were very high (98.2% and 96.6%, respectively), and those of noodle tools and Shinsonros were very low (13.8% and 13.6%, respectively). 4. The holding ratios of various kinds of cooking tools had interrelations with the size of city, housewife's educational background, family income, house style, private residence, etc.

This survey was performed to investigate the holding amount of the various kinds of cooking tools of the farm and fishing villages in Chungnam area. The results were as follows: 1. The holding ratio of refrigerators was the highest (97.9%), and that of toasters was the lowest (1.9%) among the electric tools. 2. The holding ratio of gas-ranges was the highest (95.7%) and that of gas oven-ranges was the lowest (1.2%) among 4 kinds of gas tools under investigation. 3. The holding amount of pans was the highest among the cooking tools and that of wicker baskets was very high among the small cooking tools. The holding ratios of egg-cutters and lemon-squeezers were very low (4.1% and 2.9%, respectively). 4. The holding ratios of various kinds of cooking tools were related to the housewife's educational background and family income.
