  • 현재 정부는 사회간접자본 확충을 통한 물류비용의 절감이라는 궁극적 목표를 위하여 도로터널의 확충 노력을 적극 경주하고 있으며 터널의 규모 또한 급격히 장대화 하고 있다. 또한 환경 및 안전 측면에서의 규제 강화로 인하여 터널환기 시스템이 점점 복잡해져 가고 있는 추세이다. 환기관련 주요 설비는 제트팬, 축류팬, 집진기, 수갱 등으로 대형화 및 자동화에 따라 운영비용 역시 급격히 증가하고 있으며 운영비용 중의 대부분은 현재 일반전기로 분류되어 있는 환기설비에 소요되는 전력비로, 장대터널의 경우 km 당 1 MW를 훨씬 초과하는 경우도 많아 SOC(사회간접자본)사업으로 추진되는 도로터널의 건설 및 운영상의 문제점으로 지적되고 있다.   • 철도 및 도로교통에 의한 건축구조물의 진동, 소음을 저감시킬 수 없는 PO-MAT(Polyurethane Mat) 제품과 다양한 건축물의 진동, 소음이 전달되는 상황에 적용되어 방진효과를 정확하게 예측하는데 사용될 수 있는 설계안을 개발하였다. 개발된 제품은 다공질의 폴리우레탄 탄성체의 조직으로 도로 및 철도의 교통진동의 방진과 연구실, 기계실, 공조실 등의 Floating Floor System 및 건축기초의 내진용으로 사용되고, 실제구조물에 적용하여 진동저감과 충격흡수, 소음저감 효과가 탁월함을 확인하였다.

Analyzing traffic characteristics and estimating capacities for typical tunnel sections (터널부 교통류 특성 및 용량산정에 관한 연구)

  • 도로망 전체구간의 소통 장애와 안전을 저해하는 요소 중의 하나로 터널구간을 들 수 있다. 특히 산악과 구릉지형이 많은 우리 나라의 도로설계에서 터널에 관한 교통특성이 중시되어야하지만 이에 대한 국내외의 기준이 명확히 정립되어 있지 못하다. 이러한 과제를 해결하기 위한 기초적인 시도로 본 논문에서는 영상처리기법에 의하여 양방 2차로와 4차로 의 도로에 포함된 터널부에 대하여 기본적인 교통특성을 조사·분석하였다. 양방 2차로에서 는 용량이 1,500대/시로 기본구간에 비하여 약 6%의 감소를 보이며, 4차로의 경우는 용량 이 2,000대/시로 기본구간에 비하여 10%의 감소를 보였다. 한편 교통밀도와 속도와의 관계 에 있어서는 양방 2차로의 경우 Underwood Edie의 모형이 그리고, 양방 4차로의 경우 Underwood의 모형이 비교적 설명력이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • Urbanization of Korea reaches up to 90% in the year 2003. What that means is that 90% of population live in the city areas. This phenomenon emphasizes importances of urban streets where people feel accessibility and level of environmental amenity, enjoy recreational activity, and live for a life. However, the current Korean manual for designing road is not enough to accomodate various activities of urban streets since its target is basically rural roads. This study proposes the necessity of a new design manual of urban streets via analyzing the practices of the development countries, and aims to recommend what should be prepared and how those are defined for developing a design manual of urban streets in Korea. It is inevitable that the design manual of urban streets be based on the flexibility and diversity. The manual should be made through consensus among the related stakeholders such as designers, residents and officials. And it also should reflect the characteristics of each city. It is somehow true that without the manual, designing of urban streets can be done although it is not fully acceptable. This does not mean that the necessity of the manual can be ignored. Rather, we should remember that the related stakeholders may not want to reveal what are hidden in developing the design manual of urban streets. What are hidden is that developing the design manual of urban streets is difficult problem to solve. It is a wish that this study triggers the on-going research and interests on developing the design manual of urban streets.

진동.소음이 구조물 및 근무환경에 미치는 영향

  • 산업이 고도화 되면서 기계장비의 중량화와 고속화가 가속되어지고 있으며, 이로 인하여 과다한 진동과 소음을 유발시키고 있다. 특히 교통량이 많은 도로변의 건물 및 주택가에 소음공해가 심하며, 고속도로 및 철도연변의 건물 및 주택가는 비록 차음벽을 설치하여 많은 소음을 차단해 주지만 미흡한 상태다. 또한 철도 진동이 주위 건물 기초로 전파하여 건물의 진동을 유발하여 건물벽체가 갈라짐의 원인이 될 수 있다. 따라서, 교통 소음이 심한 장소에서는 차음율이 높은 재료를 사용하여 공기음을 차단하며, 건물의 유리창은 가능한 한 2겹유리(pair glass)를 사용한다. 또한 철도 연변의 건물기초는 베어링 페드를 사용하여 지반으로 전파되는 진동을 차단하여 줌으로써 안락한 주거환경 및 근무환경을 조성하리라 생각한다.

  • Sliding accidents on the road have a high percentage by road freezing, especially, they often have appeared at bridges and Tunnel of freezing areas. Thus, the stability of road operations is enhanced by preventing partial freezing phenomenon. According to the geothermal snow melting system analysis, a pattern of thermal conductivity is found out; pavement materials of concrete and asphalt where the system is buried. The heat transfer simulation is essential when the geothermal snow melting system is applied according to heating exchanger pipe placed in the lower pavements. The model tests are conducted on low temperature in freezer using the manufactured test model which is equal to pavement materials. Many variables are discovered from numerical analyses under the same conditions with model test.

  • This research presents the structural performance and an improving technique for flexural capacity of road safety facilities based on the damage cases by wind pressure. Among road safety facilities, a support frame of soundproofing walls is considered as a prototype structure and its corresponding structural behaviors and section design are performed mainly by analytical and experimental studies. On the basis of analytical results, glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP) with an epoxy matrix which is high stiffness-to-weight ratio was used for applied one of strengthening techniques and their results shows that support frame strengthened by GFRP is the most effective compared to other cases proposed in this research for advancing its flexural improvement, Finally, optimum section design was performed analytically to evaluate wind-resistance capacity and its result would be very useful for developing a practical design guideline for Road safety facilities under strong wind.

  • In this study, a road pavement crack deterioration model was developed for a pavement road sections of the Sejong-city. Data required for model development were acquired using a deep learning-based road asset monitoring system. Road pavement monitoring was conducted on the same sections in 2021 and 2022. The developed model was analyzed by dividing it into a method for estimating the annual average amount of deterioration and a method based on Bayesian Markov Mixture Hazard model. As a result of the analysis, it was found that an analysis results similar to the crack deterioration model developed based on the data acquired from the Automatic pavement investigation equipmen was derived. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data by local governments to establish road management plans.

  • This study is performed to apply a standard to evaluate fire protection assessment for tunnel structures when a fire breaks out in the road tunnel. Recently, a number of road tunnels have been rapidly increased and fire risk also multiplyed according to extend tunnel length, due to natural features and environmentally-friendly road construction in Korea. But we have not yet been prescribed appropriate time-temperature curve for tunnel fire. Therefore, we presented fire design model and investigated time-temperature curve proposed by a foreign country considering traffic, a kinds of vehicles which are a basis of heat rate. At the end, Hydrocarbon modified curve applied as design fire model by using numerical analysis and presented design fire model and examined the effects of tunnel structures.

Calculation of the Earthquake Vulnerability of the Bridge Foundation Considering the Characteristics of the Ground (지반의 특성을 고려한 교량기초의 지진취약도 산정)

  • The ground-structure interaction of the bridge foundation has been pointed out as a major factor influencing the behavior of the bridge during earthquakes. In this study, the effect of characteristics of ground and bridge foundation on the earthquake vulnerability is investigated. From the pseudo-static analysis, it is confirmed that non-linearity becomes lesser and horizontal load becomes greater when surcharge is considered. It is also found that as the ground worsens and the size of foundation decreases, horizontal load reduces. To derive reasonable structural model for bridge foundation, fragility curve is obtained considering four conditions (fixed condition, equivalent linear condition, non-linear without surchage condition, non-linear with surcharge condition) and compared. Seismic analysis is performed on single pier with Opensees. From the earthquake vulnerability analysis, it is found that shallow foundation can be assumed as fixed condition. In conservative approach, stiffness of spring can be obtained based on Korean highway bridge design code for pile foundation which can consider the ground condition.
