This study was a descriptive investigation to identify the influence of nurses' moral sensitivity and safety of their environment on compliance with standard precautions. Participants consisted of 214 nurses in one general hospital and data were collected using a questionnaire that consisted of moral sensitivity, safety of environment and compliance with standard precautions from 1-15 August 2017. Data were evaluated by the independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The mean scores of moral sensitivity, safety of environment and compliance with standard precautions were 5.05, 5.76 and 4.50, respectively. Moreover, compliance with standard precautions was significantly positively correlated with moral sensitivity and safety of environment. Additionally, multiple regression revealed an $R^2$ of 0.253 with the department (ER, ICU), age and safety environment serving as the major predictor variables for compliance with standard precautions. However, the influence of moral sensitivity on compliance was not identified. Therefore, to increase compliance with standard precautions among nurses, it is necessary to provide continuous educational programs for new nurses, customized programs considering departmental characteristics and administrative support of institutions to enhance safety of the environment.

This study was conducted to investigate the level of moral sensitivity, critical thinking disposition and perceived ethical confidence, as well as to identify the factors influencing the perceived ethical confidence in nursing students. The study evaluated 170 nursing students in D Province from May 16-20, 2016. Data were analyzed using a t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression. The mean score of the perceived ethical confidence was $3.54({\pm}0.51)$, the moral sensitivity was $4.92({\pm}0.59)$ and the critical thinking disposition was $3.45({\pm}0.39)$. There were positive correlations between the perceived ethical confidence and moral sensitivity (r=0.410, p<0.001) and critical thinking disposition (r=0.523, p<0.001). The significant factors influencing the perceived ethical confidence were moral sensitivity and critical thinking disposition, which explained 33.2% of the variance in perceived ethical confidence. Based on these findings, programs and teaching methods that develop moral sensitivity and critical thinking disposition are necessary for college nursing students to promote perceived ethical confidence.
The present study investigated the relationships between autistic trait and socio-moral judgments. We used Autism Spectrum Quotient, a moral judgment task in which participants needed to consider both the intention and outcomes of a person's actions, a moral judgment task in which participants were asked to evaluate a person's utilitarian choices in moral dilemmas, and Moral Foundations Questionnaire. Autistic traits were negatively correlated with blame for failed attempts to harm others, suggesting that higher autistic traits were associated with difficulty in considering intentions in moral judgments. Also, higher autistic traits were associated with higher endorsement of utilitarian option on personal moral dilemmas, and lower endorsement for no-harm principle of moral foundations. These correlations were confirmed as group differences between high autistic-trait group (AQ >= 26) and a low autistic-trait group (AQ < 26). Our findings suggest that individuals with high autistic trait may have difficulty in considering others' intentions and show lower sensitivity to no-harm principle in moral judgment tasks.

Data were analyzed using the t-test, the ANOVA, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis by SPSS ver. 21.0. There were significant positive correlations among knowledge of standard precaution, awareness of standard precaution, and moral sensitivity on performance of standard precaution. The factors influencing performance of standard precaution of the study subjects were awareness of standard precaution(β=.78, p<.001), and the explanatory power of these variables was 60.5%. Data were collected from 150 small and medium hospital nurses in January 11, 2021 to January 22, 2021 and were analyzed using Descriptive statistics, Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Practice of standard precaution was significantly correlated with safety attitude for patient (r=.539, p<.001) and moral sensitivity(r=.249, p=.002). Practice of standard precaution was associated safety attitude for patient, and work unit with 33.8% of the variance(F=18.47, p<.001). This study was conducted to identify the factors influencing consciousness of biomedical ethics, moral sensitivity and critical thinking disposition with respect to the Code of Ethics of nurses among nursing students. A descriptive correlation research design was used for this study. The subjects were 299 nursing students in two large cities from 1 June to 31 July 2015. Collected data were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and stepwise multiple regression by the SPSS 22.0 program. The results revealed that female subjects comprised 86.65% of the subjects and the mean age was 21.67 years. Awareness of the Code of Ethics for nurses was positively correlated with the consciousness of biomedical ethics(p<0.001), moral sensitivity(p<0.001), and critical thinking disposition(p<0.001). However, there were negative correlations between grade(p=0.017), marital state(p=0.012), and the possibility of increasing ethical problems according to the development of bioscience(p=0.012). Significant influencing factors of the awareness of the Code of Ethics for nurses included grade(p=0.013), marital state(p=0.030), consciousness of biomedical ethics(p=0.017), moral sensitivity(p<0.001), and critical thinking disposition(p=0.001), with apower of explanation of 26.3%. The results of this study show that the consciousness of biomedical ethics, moral sensitivity and critical thinking disposition are factors influencing the code of ethics for nurses among nursing students.
This study was conducted in order to examine how ethical climate, ethical sensitivity, and moral distress influence social workers' job satisfaction, burnout, and turnover intention. First, social workers' perception of ethical climate in their organization enhanced job satisfaction and lowered turnover intention, but its association with burnout was not statistically significant. Second, ethical sensitivity was found to have a positive effect on job satisfaction, and to increase burnout and turnover intention. Third, moral distress, which is induced by social workers' direct experiences, was found to lower job satisfaction and increase burnout and turnover intention.

This study is a descriptive survey study that attempted to confirm clinical nurses' consciousness of biomedical ethics, moral sensitivity, critical thinking deposition, and nursing ethics code of clinical nurses, as well as to identify the factors influencing the recognition of the nursing code of ethics. The general and ethical characteristics of the subject were calculated by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and the difference for each variable according to the general and ethical characteristics was analyzed using SAS 9.4, independent t-test, and one-way ANOVA, and Scheffé test. The average, standard deviation, and the minimum and maximum values were used for the scores of each variable, and the correlation was determined using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Multiple regression was used to identify the factors that influence the recognition of the nurse's code of ethics. All variables showed significant correlations. Critical thinking deposition (p<.05) was the most influential variable in recognizing the code of ethics for nurses. Critical thinking deposition (p<.001), consciousness in biomedical ethics (p<.001), and moral sensitivity (p<.001) were shown to be affected in order, with 27.4% explaining power. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and apply educational programs to clinical nurses that can improve critical thinking, life and bioethics, and moral sensitivity.
