An Indoor Positioning Algorithm Based on 3 Points Near Field Angle-of-Arrival Estimation without Side Information (청취자 거리정보가 필요 없는 도달각 기반 실내 위치 추정기법)

  • In this paper, we propose an indoor positioning algorithm based on 3 points near field angle-of-arrival estimation without side information. The conventional angle-of-arrival based positioning scheme requires the distance between the listener and the center of two points which is obtained by a received signal strength based range estimation. However, a received signal strength is affected by structure of room, placement of furniture, and characteristic of signal, these effects cause a large error to estimation of angle. In this paper, the proposed positioning scheme based on near field angle-of-arrival estimation can be used to estimate the position of listener without a prior distance information, just using time-difference-of-arrival information given from 3 points microphones. The performance of the proposed scheme is shown by cumulative distribution function of root mean squared error.

  • In recent days, some techniques to prevent from radar detection have been applied on aircraft system. RWR(Radar Warning Receiver) can be used for estimating the source location of the aircraft which emits radar pulse. Current existing method of localizing radar pulse emission source is using AOA(Angle Of Arrival) and most techniques are focused on finding exact AOA to find exact location. In this case, however, the exact AOA does not always result in finding exact source location while target aircraft is moving fast. In this paper, a localization method using the phase delay of the radar pulse's low frequency applies and so a scanning method for the interest area does in order to estimate exact source location by using phase delay.

  • 본 논문에서는 해저 고정형 선배열센서를 이용하여 다중경로 신호를 이용한 근거리표적의 위치 추정 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 다중경로를 통하여 근거리 표적의 신호가 센서에 도달하는 경우 각 신호의 원추각이 다르므로 신호들의 원추각과 시간차를 추정해서 3차원 표적의 위치를 추정할 수 있다. 원거리표적으로 가정하고 추정한 원추각과 신호들의 시간차에 대한 관계식을 유도하였으며 이들을 연립하여 표적의 위치를 추정하였다. 그러나 표적이 위치한 기하학적인 위치에 따라 신호들의 원추각이 거의 같아지는 지점이 존재한다. 이 경우 부가적인 1차원 탐색으로 표적의 위치를 추정하였다.

Cross-Correlation Eliminated Beamforming Based on the DOA Estimation of Interference using Correlation Matrix (상관행렬로부터 간섭신호 도달각을 추정하여 상호상관 성분을 제거하는 빔형성 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose new beamforming algorithm which overcomes signal cancellation effect even high cross correlation existing between target and interfering signal. Using the proposed method, we show that direction of arrival (DOA) of interfering signal can be estimated using correlation matrix and the cross-correlation can be eliminated in the correlation matrix of input signal. The proposed method gives high performance enhancement compared with the spatial averaging method in our computer simulation results.

  • 일반적으로 도달시간은 지표면 유출의 흐름상태에 의존하며, 대개 중력흐름으로 가정하여 도달시간을 산정하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 흐름상태를 중력흐름과 표면장력흐름으로 구분하고 각 흐름을 판단할 수 있는 임계치를 추정하였다. 도달시간 산정을 위해 유역경사와 지표면조고의 영향을 고려할 수 있는 무차원수를 도입하였으며, 이 임계치의 범위에 따라 중력흐름과 표면장력흐름을 구분하고 두 조건의 흐름상태에 따른 도달시간 산정식을 각각 개발하였다. 중력흐름에 의한 도달시간 산정식과 표면장력흐름에 의한 도달시간 산정식을 개발하고 검증하기 위하여 기존 외국에서 실험한 자료를 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과를 통하여 이러한 흐름특성을 고려한 도달시간 산정식을 모형에 적용할 경우 유출모형을 통한 유출량산정의 정확도 향상에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

Near-field Target Localization Using Bottom-mounted Linear Sensor Array in Multipath Environment (다중경로환경에서 바닥고정형 선배열센서를 이용한 근거리표적의 위치추정기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a near-field target localization algorithm using a bottom-mounted linear sensor amy in a multipath environment. In a multipath environment, the conic angles of a target signals through each path are different, and the position of the target can be estimated using these conic angles and the time difference of these signals. We derive equations on the relation of time-difference of signals and conic angles estimates under the far-field assumption, and estimate the position of target by simultaneously solving these equations. For a certain geometry of a target and the sensor array, there exist cases when the conic angles are very close. In such a case, we estimate the position of the target using an additional 1-D search.

  • 이 논문에서는 등간격 선배열 감지기를 사용하여 근거리 표적의 위치 추정을 하는 연산량이 적은 효과적인 대수적 경로 추종 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 원거리 표적의 방위각 추적 알고리듬으로 근거리 표적의 방위각을 추정하면 추정된 방위각은 실제 근거리 표적의 방위각과 거리의 대수적 관계식으로 주어짐을 보였다. 2차원 MUSIC스펙트럼의 극대값을 찾기 위하여 두 개의 결합된 2차원 다항식으로부터 구한 경로를 추종하는 기존의 방식대신 에 이 대수적 관계식을 경로로 사용한다. L개의 감지기에 M개의 표적 신호가 도달하는 경 우, 제안한 알고리듬은 대수적 경로를 따라 M번의 1차원 탐색을 하므로 2차원 다항식으로 부터 경로를 구하여 2L-2번의 1차원 탐색을 하는 기존의 경로 추종 알고리듬보다 연산량을 줄일 수 있다.

Efficient Sound Source Localization System Using Angle Division (영역 분할을 이용한 효율적인 음원 위치 추정 시스템)

  • Sound source localization systems in service robot applications estimate the direction of a human voice. Time delay information obtained from a few separate microphones is widely used for the estimation of the sound direction. Correlation is computed in order to calculate the time delay between two signals. Inverse cosine is used when the position of the maximum correlation value is converted to an angle. Because of nonlinear characteristic of inverse cosine, the accuracy of the computed angle is varied depending on the position of the specific sound source. In this paper, we propose an efficient sound source localization system using angle division. By the proposed approach, the region from $0^{\circ}$ to $180^{\circ}$ is divided into three regions and we consider only one of the three regions. Thus considerable amount of computation time is saved. Also, the accuracy of the computed angle is improved since the selected region corresponds to the linear part of the inverse cosine function. By simulations, it is shown that the error of the proposed algorithm is only 31% of that of the conventional a roach.

원거리 지진자료로부터 유추된 한반도의 P파 도달시간 이상에 대한 연구

  • P wave travel-time delays have been analyzed and average travel-time anomalies due to lateral variation of the crustal structure have been calculated at the broad-band earthquake observatories of Korea Meteorology Administration (KMA) using the teleseismic deata collected during the period from 2000 to 2001. Maximum variation in the relative travel-time residuals is almost 1.5 seconds Azimuthal variation in the travel-time residuals is observed to indicate the existence of lateral P velocity heterogeneity beneath the stations with velocity contrasts of -4~4%. The estimated average travel-time delays are ranging from 0.05 to 0.3 seconds at the stations including Seoul, Chuncheon, Kanneung, Uljin, and Ulleung Island showing slow velocity contrasts of 0~4% P through the crust. Faster velocity contrasts of 0~4% have been observed at the stations including Seosan, Taejeon, Daegu, Seoguipo, and Busan showing average travel-time delays ranging from -0.05 to -0.3 seconds.

  • This paper proposes an algorithm that estimates three dimensional array shape calibration about the bottom-mounted sensor array. under the assumption that the active sources are in the far-field with unknown positions. Under some assumptions. we calculate the sensor positions via an algebraic solutions of a least squares problem that the linear equations are related to the sensor positions and directions or arrival. We give examples of algorithm performance from both computer simulations and sea test. We also illustrate the performance of sensor positions estimation as a function of time delay estimation variance and the distribution of the localizing sources.
