A Study on Visual Communication Design for Effective Trial Presentation (효과적인 법정 프레젠테이션을 위한 비주얼커뮤니케이션 디자인 연구)

  • As oral trial principle and civil participation in criminal trials spread, the environment of Korean courtroom is in need of a systematic introduction of trial presentation which can supplement with the oral trial presentation's weakness. Therefore this study analyzes the definition, types, and effectiveness of trial presentation, considering characters of the Korean court's environment. As for following research step, the most widely used trial presentation softwares in the USA and Korea are analyzed and compared in consideration of the particularity of the trial presentation. Based on this analysis, this study suggested elements to be included in the presentation software optimized for Korean court's environment as follows: 1. Ease of the insertion of various forms and media, 2. Appropriate limitation of the spectrum for graphic style, 3. Ease of use of graphics tools, 4. System functions. Such a suggestion was proposed not only to enhance the clarity, accuracy, effectiveness in developing insistence and delivery of content, but also promote aesthetic quality and consistency of presentation's visual communication aspect.

  • In line with the development of Media, the use of character has been developed in various ways. Specially, it has been emerged the functions of written language of visualization and delivery of emotion in the digitalized environment due to speedy growth of internet and Mobile. The emoticons emerged as a tool for the convenience of communication proved to have taken effective role in the part of communication culture. Particularly, Hangul emoticons which contains the meaning of communication and sharing in tandem with the principle of Hangul invention, provides convenience in combination & use due to its structural and design characteristic for which it plays a significant role of visual element. Hangul emoticon is definitely a part of Hangul culture and in view of globalization of visual language in connection with media development, there is a huge potential being to be used as a international communication tool. In this study, it will be reviewed on the increased utilization of Hangul emoticons and related public issues as being a part of typography media, in view of the generalization of private media as well as change of subjective user.

  • 사회적 소프트웨어인 블로그(Blog) 사용이 급증함에 따라 기업 내에서 블로그를 활용하는 기업들이 늘어나고 있다. 기업에서 블로그가 외부적으로는 고객 관계, 광고, 판매 촉진 또는 파트너와의 커뮤니케이션이나 협력의 도구로 사용되고, 내부적으로는 협업, 지식 관리, 공동체 개발 등의 도구로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 기업들이 내부적으로 블로그를 사용함에 있어 기술적 수용에 미치는 영향에 관하여 조사하였다. 연구 모형은 기술수용모델(Technology Acceptance Model; TAM)을 근간으로 모델을 설정 하였다. 데이터 수집은 설문지 방식으로 기업 블로그를 도입한 국내 주요 기업을 대상으로 실시하였다.

  • In this paper, we have studied the technical contribution of internet as a computer mediated communication(CMC) tool for collection management. A new communication process is appearing due to the development of information technology and telecommunications technology which enable users to have an access to information without the help of librarian. Also, internet makes collection management possible in the absence of vendors. This study found out that internet reinforces the traditional functions of collection management and enables librarians to better perform their roles. The future library manager should become actively involved in the development of technology in order to manage resources of internet focusing on the needs of user. Also, we have concluded that collection management should be modernized and transformed with its emphasis on the new evaluation method and assessment of quality when offering resources of internet in the communication process using computers.

A Study on the describability of landmarks in route communication using virtual reality (가상현실을 이용한 루트 커뮤니케이션에서의 랜드마크의 설명 용이성(Describability)에 관한 연구)

  • The main goal of this study is to find the role of landmarks in route communication process and to explore the describability of landmarks, a linguistic factor of landmarks that was not noted frequently by previous wayfinding studies. Through analysis of landmarks in this study, the describability of landmarks was identified and this study hypothesized that the describability affects to the whole process of route communication. A virtual reality (VR) simulation test was conducted to examine the effect of the describability of landmarks in route communication. The independent variable was the describability of landmarks and landmarks. As dependent variables, the total time to find final destination and the number of errors were measured. Results showed that the describability of landmarks gives positive effect to the whole of route communication processes. Consequently, this study provides the solution of wayfinding problems in route communication and suggests the usage of landmarks as a prerequisite for planning spaces having the efficiency of wayfinding.

  • This study was carried out to seek communication programs of geo-technology R&D outcome. For this, the following questions were set. 1) How much portion do KIGAM as the main body of geo-technology R&D among articles reported by major newspapers? 2) What are strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat factors of geo-technology R&D outcome from the communication view point? 3) What is the communication tasks and the communication ways for them? In conclusion, the communication programs of geo-technology R&D outcome using SMTCR(Sender-Message-Tool-Channel-Receiver) model were suggested.

  • Birdwhistell explains in the whole communication, language conveys only 35% of the meaning and the rest 65% is conveyed by non-linguistic media. Humans do not entirely depend on linguistic communication, but are sensitive being, using every sense of theirs. Human communication, by using facial expression, gesture as well as language, is able to convey more concrete meaning. Especially, facial expression is a many-sided message system, which delivers Individual Personality, interest, information about response and emotional status, and can be said as powerful communication tool. Though being able to be changed according to various expressive techniques and degree and quality of expression, the symbolic sign of facial expression is characterized by generalized qualify. Animation characters, as roles in story, have vitality by emotional expression of which mental world and psychological status can reveal and read naturally on their actions or facial expressions.

도서관 운영에 있어서의 시스팀 접근법의 응용

  • 도서관업무의 복잡성이 가중됨에 따라, 사서들은 실업계에서 다년간의 사용되어 온 각종 경영공학적 도구와 기법을 응용하는 기술을 발전시키지 않으면 안 되게 되었다. 이들 도구 중의 하나인 시스팀 분석법을 사용함으로써 도서관 - 규모의 대소와 기계화 여부를 막론하고 - 은 많은 이득을 가져올 수 있다. 분석단계(혹은 질문단계)에 선행하는 플로우차아트 기법은 시스팀의 개선을 결과케 하며, 새로운 시스팀 설계의 기반을 만들어 준다. 그런데, 무엇보다도 플로우 차아트 기법의 소산인 시스팀의 시각적 표현은 천 마디의 말보다도 가치가 있으며, 도서관에 대한 가일층의 이해를 요하는 모든 인사에 대하여 전반적인 양상을 제시하는 데 가장 중요한 커뮤니케이션 모체가 된다. 시스팀 분석은 일상의 선량한 도서관관리의 일부가 되어야 한다.

  • One of the characteristics in the modem society is the overflow of the communication. The invention of various merchandise and the development of information and comunication changed the society of verbal characterization into that of visible environments. To establish the effective communication in these changes, the package has to understand, specify, and deliver the needs of the consumers by the thorough analysis of the marketing plans and the marketing strategies. In this thesis we considered the conception of the marketing and the change of the marketing environments, studied the close relationship between the marketing and the package and, furthermore, introduced the package process as one of the effective communication methods. The purpose of this thesis is to introduce the marketing strategies. to develope the theoretical processes of the package design as a communication method which can cope with the change of the marketing environments caused by that of the consumer's favorites.
