In this paper, we propose a general cross-chain solution based on the idea of modularity, abstraction, and layering, which decoupling the cross-chain function from the consensus algorithm and specific application logic, and utilize a Merkle proof to ensure the validity and legality of cross-chain operations. Since the underlying implementations of homogeneous and heterogeneous blockchains are different, we treat them separately. For homogeneous blockchains, we suggest a TCP-like cross-chain transport protocol (CCTP). While for heterogeneous blockchains, we present a method to construct the relay chain to realize the cross-chain function. The proposed scheme can enable the correct, effective, reliable, orderly, and timely transmission of cross-chain data. However, the essential difference between the operations within a single blockchain and the interoperability between different blockchains is that the trust domain is different. Cross-chain interoperation itself breaks the completeness of the blockchain, therefore, some efficiency and safety must sacrifice to trade-off.

This paper is intended to study how well the routing protocol supplied in wireless mesh networks can evade interference path along the applied routing metric. Wireless mesh networks, unlike existing network techniques, has the characteristics that node movement is less and energy effect is limited. Therefore. this type of network requires path configuring technique to reflect such network characteristics and new routing metric to determine proper path. Routing metric proposed recently is designed to produce link quality accurately, but it configures path not considering the traffic situation of adjacent nodes. Thus. this technique has the problems of reduced transfer rate and delay between terminals occurring due to frequent traffic chaos by the interference of adjacent nodes. Therefore, this paper proposes metric that configures routing path by finding like metric that can transfer data effectively by considering the traffic situation of adjacent nodes. We confirmed through simulation that the proposed routing metric reduces the delay between terminals via the path that evades the traffic interference of adjacent node.

To improve security in the data communication field, many studies on the application of chaotic signals to encryption have been conducted in recent years. In this study, a new security protocol where the initial value sensitivity and noise similarity of chaotic signals have been applied to an RFID communication channel was designed. In the case of chaotic systems, if the initial values become identical, the same signals are generated at the same time after that point even though the two systems have been calculated independently. Therefore, an unpredictable security channel can be produced based on such characteristics. However, a security channel can be produced only when an initial value is shared in advance, and thus there is a potential problem of infringement during the transmission of the initial value. To resolve this problem, a method in which a certain proportion of new chaotic signals are applied to two chaotic systems for communication and are then synchronized after some time was proposed. This new method can conceal the initial value, and thus can resolve the problem of the existing communication method using chaotic signals. The designed method was verified with the encryption and decryption of images. It is expected that a more secure RFID system could be established by applying the communication protocol proposed in this study to insecure RFID communication channels.

Recent researches on radio frequency energy harvesting networks(RF-EHNs) with limited energy resource like battery have been focusing on the development of a new scheme that can effectively extend the whole lifetime of a network to semipermanent. In order for considerable increase both in the amount of energy obtained from radio frequency energy harvesting and its charging effectiveness, it is very important to design a network that supports energy harvesting and data transfer simultaneously with the full consideration of various characteristics affecting the performance of a RF-EHN. In this paper, we proposes an interference-based charging aware routing protocol(ICARP) that utilizes interference information and charging time to maximize the amount of energy harvesting and to minimize the end-to-end delay from a source to the given destination node. To accomplish the research objectives, this paper gives a design of ICARP adopting new network metrics such as interference information and charging time to minimize end-to-end delay in energy harvesting wireless networks. The proposed method enables a RF-EHN to reduce the number of packet losses and retransmissions significantly for better energy consumption. Finally, simulation results show that the network performance in the aspects of packet transmission rate and end-to-end delay has enhanced with the comparison of existing routing protocols.

With the development of water internet technology, data communication between objects is expanding. Research related to data communication technology between vehicles that incorporates related technologies into vehicles has been actively conducted. For data communication between mobile terminals, data stability, reliability, and real-time performance must be guaranteed. The 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, which is advantageous in bandwidth, communications speed, and wireless saturation of the wireless network, was selected as the data communications network between vehicles. This study analyzes how to design and implement a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network in a vehicle network. Considering the characteristics of the mobile communication terminal device, a continuous variable communications structure is proposed to enable high-speed data switching. We simplify the access point access procedure to reduce the latency between wireless terminals. By limiting the Transmission Control Protocol Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)-based Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server function and implementing it in a broadcast transmission protocol method, communication delay between terminal devices is improved. Compared to the general commercial Wi-Fi communication method, the connection operation and response speed have been improved by five seconds or more. Utilizing this method can be applied to various types of event data communication between vehicles. It can also be extended to wireless data-based intelligent road networks and systems for autonomous driving.

The IEEE 802.15.4 offers standard about PHY and MAC layer and features low power, low bandwidth, and low speed data communication. Because of this reason, IEEE 802.15.4 is only within a limited range such as sensor detection and home network; nevertheless, the research about transmission multimedia data like voice packet through wireless sensor networks is conducted widely. In this paper, we proposed the group communication system based on the sensor network. TDMA/TDD MAC based on the IEEE 802.15.4 PHY for voice communication on the sensor network is designed by improvement existing peer-to-peer voice communication on the sensor network and hardware is implemented for group communication. To measure the quality of designed system, mean opinion score (MOS) is obtained from the experiment and verified by using sine wave method. As a result of an experiment, we expect that a many cases of application solution can be developed using presented system.

In this paper, we propose a new location service and location-based routing for data dissemination from a source to a mobile group sink in less energy consumption of the sensor node. Unlike the existing protocols, the proposed protocol uses a leader sink instead of a group area as the location information to represent a mobile sink group. The proposed protocol also uses grid leaders on virtual grid structure to support sink mobility in location service. By using a leader sink as a representative and grid leaders for mobility supporting, the proposed protocol can exploit an efficient hierarchical location service and data dissemination method without using flooding. Accordingly, the proposed protocol carries out upper layer location services and data dissemination between a leader sink and a source and lower layer location services and data dissemination between the leader sink and member sinks. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed protocol achieves energy-efficiency.
Lately, the MANET research has focused on providing routing services with security and previous schemes have been proposed for detecting malicious nodes in a MANET. However, they still include some problems which malicious nodes cannot be found when they falsely report other nodes as malicious. Accordingly, we propose a novel and efficient scheme for detecting malicious nodes using report messages and a report table which is consisted of node ID both for suspecting and reporting when the malicious nodes behave normally during the route discovery, but the other hand they drop and modify packets, or falsely report other nodes as malicious during the data transmission. Our proposed scheme is applicable to not only DSR but aiso AODV. And we provide some simulation results of our proposed scheme by comparing general AODV with our proposed scheme. Simulation results show that our Proposed scheme outperforms general AODV in terms of average packet loss ratio and packet delivery ratio.

As the need for security of SCADA systems is increasing, significant progress has been made in research on security of control protocol. However, very few security solutions were adapted to legacy SCADA system. The reasons for non-adoption are latency, cost and key management problem. We propose a low latency, economic security Solution to solve these issues. The proposed solution performs security function in data link layer and has minimum overhead to minimize latency. Furthermore, we try to solve the key management problem by providing systematic security keys and key distribution method.
