To ensure the safe operation of offshore plants, a system is needed for evaluating the equipment performance and for monitoring the results. Currently, owing to the operating environments of of shore plants situated far from the land, measurement data must be periodically stored in storage devices and carried on the land for evaluating the equipment performance. Consequently, it is difficult to prevent equipment failure because the performance evaluation cycle is long. Furthermore, until the next performance evaluation is conducted, it is difficult to determine the equipment's degree of performance degradation. Hence, it is necessary to install an onboard equipment performance monitoring system within the offshore plant. In this study, to evaluate and visualize the results of equipment performance within an offshore plant, a database was designed as the initial step towards the development of an equipment performance monitoring system. The tag data of major equipment were selected and analyzed. Furthermore, in order to store and manage the data measured in real time within the offshore plant, a database was developed for the onboard equipment performance monitoring system.

In this paper, we propose an Arduino-based plant monitoring system. The proposed system is based on the Arduino platform, using an environmental sensor and a pressure sensor for measuring temperature, humidity and illuminance in order to monitor the state of the environment and the facilities of the plant. Monitoring data are transmitted to a ZigBee coordinator connected to a server through a radio frequency transceiver. When using a pressure sensor and the environment sensor data stored on the host server, checking the pressure in the environment of the plant and equipment is intended to report any alarm status to the administrator. Using a grid line-based key distribution scheme, the authentication node dynamically generates a data key to protect the monitoring information. Applying a ZigBee wireless sensor network does not require additional wiring for the actual implementation of a plant monitoring system. Possible working-environment monitoring of an efficient plant can help analyze the cause of any failure by backtracking the working environment when a failure occurs. In addition, it is easy to expand or add a sensor function using the Arduino platform and an expansion board.

Because the behavior of cable bridges is dominated by dynamic response and is relatively complex, short- and long-term field monitoring are often required to evaluate the bridge condition. If a permanent SHMS (Structural Health Monitoring System) is not installed, a portable monitoring system is needed for the checking of bridge condition. In this case, it can be difficult to operate the portable monitoring system due to limited conditions such as power and communication according to the location and type of the bridge. In this study, the portable-based smart structural response monitoring system is developed that can be effectively used for short- and long-term monitoring of cable bridges in Korea and Southeast Asia. The developed system is a multi-channel portable data acquisition and analyzer that can be operated for a long time in the field using its own power supply system, and is included with the automated analysis algorithm for the dynamic characteristics of cable bridges using real-time data. In order to evaluate the field applicability of the developed system, field demonstration was conducted on cable bridges in Korea and Vietnam. Through the demonstration, the reliability and efficiency of field operation of the developed system were confirmed, and additionally, the possibility of application to overseas markets was confirmed in cable bridge monitoring field.
Assessing landcreep requires long-term monitoring, because cracks and steps develop over long periods. However, long-term monitoring using wire extensometers and inclinometers is inefficient in terms of cost and management. Therefore, this study selected an area with active landcreep and evaluated the feasibility of monitoring it using imagesing from terrestrial LiDAR and drones. The results were compared with minute-by-minute data measured in the field using a wire extensometer. The comparison identified subtle differences in the accuracy of the two sets of results, but monitoring using terrestrial LiDAR and drones did generate values similar to the wire extensometer. This demonstrates the potential of basic monitoring using terrestrial LiDAR and drones, although minute-byminute field measurements are required for analyzing and predicting landcreep. In the future, precise monitoring using images will be feasible after verifying image analysis at various levels and accumulating data considering climate and accuracy.

In the fourth industrial revolution, which has become an issue now, we have been able to receive instant analysis results faster than the existing slow speed through various Big Data technologies, and to conduct real-time monitoring on mobile and web. First, various irregular sensor Data is generated using IoT device, Raspberry Pi. Sensor Data is collected in real time, and the collected data is distributed and stored using several nodes. Then, the stored Sensor Data is processed and refined. Visualize and output the analysis result after analysis. By using these methods, we can train the human resources required for Big Data and mobile related fields using IoT, and process data efficiently and quickly. We also provide information that can confirm the reliability of research results through real time monitoring.

This paper contains the results of the development and performance evaluation of the environmental data monitoring system for the fish farm. For the hardware development, the analogue sensor is used to collect dissolved oxygen, pH, salinity, and temperature of the fish farm water, and the digital sensor is used for collecting ambient temperature, humidity, and location information via a GPS module to be sent to cloud-based Firebase DB. A set of LoRa transmitters and receivers is used as a communication module to upload the collected data. The data stored in Firebase is retrieved as a graph on a web and mobile application to monitor the environmental data changes in real-time. A notification will be delivered if the collected data is outside the determined optimal value. To evaluate the performance of the developed system, a response time from hardware modules to web and mobile applications is ranging from 6.2 to 6.85 seconds, which indicates satisfactory results.

Techniques for processing continuous queries are required to developing the various types of application services (monitoring services) in ubiquitous environment where the real-time data acquisition from a lot of sensors, analysis, and processing are required. In the previous works of the continuous queries, they have represented all of the continuous queries as the interval queries or region queries, and proposed some methods for processing theses queries. The types of continuous queries, however, are very various, and could be presented by combining the attribute conditions, spatial conditions, and temporal conditions. In this paper, I have classify the types of continuous queries, and have proposed the continuous query model which could be presented by combining those conditions. The contributions of this paper include that it proposes the query model representing the continuous queries and suggests future research directions.
