As the COVID-19 pandemic rapidly changes healthcare around the globe, the need for smart healthcare that allows for remote diagnosis is increasing. The current classification of respiratory diseases cost high and requires a face-to-face visit with a skilled medical professional, thus the pandemic significantly hinders monitoring and early diagnosis. Therefore, the ability to accurately classify and diagnose respiratory sound using deep learning-based AI models is essential to modern medicine as a remote alternative to the current stethoscope. In this study, we propose a deep learning-based respiratory sound classification model using data collected from medical experts. The sound data were preprocessed with BandPassFilter, and the relevant respiratory audio features were extracted with Log-Mel Spectrogram and Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC). Subsequently, a Parallel CNN network model was trained on these two inputs using stacking ensemble techniques combined with various machine learning classifiers to efficiently classify and detect abnormal respiratory sounds with high accuracy. The model proposed in this paper classified abnormal respiratory sounds with an accuracy of 96.9%, which is approximately 6.1% higher than the classification accuracy of baseline model.
One of the important factors among the smart farm factors is environmental measurement. This study tried to design an environmental measurement monitoring system through Bluetooth wireless communication with LoRa using the open source programs Arduino, App Inventor, and Node Red. This system consists of Arduino, LoRa shield, temperature and humidity sensor (SHT10), and carbon dioxide sensor (K30). The environmental measurement system is configured as a system that allows the sensor to collect environmental data and transmit it to the user through wireless communication to conveniently monitor the farm environment. As libraries used in the Arduino program, LoRa.h, Sensirion.h, LiquidCrystal_I2C.h and K30_I2C.h were used. When receiving environmental data from the sensor at regular intervals, coding using average value was used for data stabilization. An Android-based app was developed using Node Red and App Inventor program as the user interface. It can be seen that the environmental data for the sensor is well collected with the screen output to the serial screen of Arduino, the screen of the smartphone, and the user interface of Node Red. Through these open source-based platforms and programs will be applied to various agricultural applications.

Currently, NFTs have no dominant application except for the proof of ownership for digital content, and it also have small liquidity problem, which makes their price difficult to predict. Real estate usually has very high barriers to investment due to its high pricing. Real estate can be converted into NFTs and also divided into small value fungible tokens (FTs), and it can increase the the volume of the investor community due to more liquidity and better accessibility. In this document, we implement and design a system that allows ordinary users can invest on high priced real estate utilizing Black Litterman (BL) model-based Portfolio investment interface. To this end, we target a set of real estates pegged as collateral and issue NFT for the collateral using blockchain. We use oracle to get the current real estate information and to monitor varying real estate prices. After tokenizing real estate into NFTs, we divide the NFTs into easily accessible price FTs, thereby, we can lower prices and provide large liquidity with price volatility limited. In addition, we also implemented BL based asset portfolio interface for effective portfolio composition for investing in multiple of real estates with small investments. Using BL model, investors can fix the asset portfolio. We implemented the whole system using Solidity smart contracts on Flask web framework with public data portals as oracle interfaces.

Auto-scaling is one of the most important functions for cloud computing technology. Even if the number of users or service requests is explosively increased or decreased, system resources and service instances can be appropriately expanded or reduced to provide services suitable for the situation and it can improves stability and cost-effectiveness. However, since the policy is performed based on a single metric data at the time of monitoring a specific system resource, there is a problem that the service is already affected or the service instance that is actually needed cannot be managed in detail. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a method to predict system resource and service response time using a multivariate time series analysis model and establish an auto-scaling policy based on this. To verify this, implement it as a custom scheduler in the Kubernetes environment and compare it with the Kubernetes default auto-scaling method through experiments. The proposed method utilizes predictive data based on the impact between system resources and response time to preemptively execute auto-scaling for expected situations, thereby securing system stability and providing as much as necessary within the scope of not degrading service quality. It shows results that allow you to manage instances in detail.

The advancement of cloud and big data and the considerable growth of traffic have increased the complexity and problems in the management inefficiency of existing networks. The software-defined networking (SDN) environment has been developed to solve this problem. SDN enables us to control network equipment through programming by separating the transmission and control functions of the equipment. Accordingly, several studies have been conducted to improve the performance of SDN controllers, such as the method of connecting existing legacy equipment with SDN, the packet management method for efficient data communication, and the method of distributing controller load in a centralized architecture. However, there is insufficient research on the control of SDN in terms of the quality of network-using applications. To support the establishment and change of the routing paths that meet the required network service quality, we require a mechanism to identify network requirements based on a contract for application network service quality and to collect information about the current network status and identify the violations of network service quality. This study proposes a method of identifying the quality violations of network paths through ontology to ensure the network service quality of applications and provide efficient services in an SDN environment.

The working time for loading and transporting containers in the container terminal is one of the factors directly related to port productivity, and minimizing working time for these operations can maximize port productivity. Among working time for container operations, the working time of yard tractors(Y/T) responsible for the transportation of containers between berth and yard is a significant portion. However, it is difficult to estimate the working time of yard tractors quantitatively, although it is possible to estimate it based on the practical experience of terminal operators. Recently, a technology based on IoT(Internet of Things), one of the core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution, is being studied to monitoring and tracking logistics resources within the port in real-time and calculate working time, but it is challenging to commercialize this technology at the actual port site. Therefore, this study aims to develop yard tractor working time prediction model to enhance the operational efficiency of the container terminal. To develop the prediction model, we analyze actual port operation data to identify factors that affect the yard tractor's works and predict its working time accordingly.

Absolute radiometric calibration is a crucial process in converting the electromagnetic signals obtained from satellite sensors into physical quantities. It is performed to enhance the accuracy of satellite data, facilitate comparison and integration with other satellite datasets, and address changes in sensor characteristics over time or due to environmental conditions. In this study, field campaigns were conducted to perform vicarious calibration for the multispectral channels of the CAS500-1. Two valid field observations were obtained under clear-sky conditions, and the top-of-atmosphere (TOA) radiance was simulated using the MODerate resolution atmospheric TRANsmission 6 (MODTRAN 6) radiative transfer model. While a linear relationship was observed between the simulated TOA radiance of tarps and CAS500-1 digital numbers(DN), challenges such as a wide field of view and saturation in CAS500-1 imagery suggest the need for future refinement of the calibration coefficients. Nevertheless, this study represents the first attempt at absolute radiometric calibration for CAS500-1. Despite the challenges, it provides valuable insights for future research aiming to determine reliable coefficients for enhanced accuracy in CAS500-1's absolute radiometric calibration.

Accurate and timely estimation of crop yields is crucial for various purposes, including global food security planning and agricultural policy development. Remote sensing techniques, particularly using vegetation indices (VIs), have show n promise in monitoring and predicting crop conditions. However, traditional VIs such as the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and enhanced vegetation index (EVI) have limitations in capturing rapid changes in vegetation photosynthesis and may not accurately represent crop productivity. An alternative vegetation index, the near-infrared reflectance of vegetation (NIRv), has been proposed as a better predictor of crop yield due to its strong correlation with gross primary productivity (GPP) and its ability to untangle confounding effects in canopies. In this study, we investigated the potential of NIRv in estimating crop yield, specifically for corn and soybean crops in major crop-producing regions in 14 states of the United States. Our results demonstrated a significant correlation between the peak value of NIRv and crop yield/area for both corn and soybean. The correlation w as slightly stronger for soybean than for corn. Moreover, most of the target states exhibited a notable relationship between NIRv peak and yield, with consistent slopes across different states. Furthermore, we observed a distinct pattern in the yearly data, where most values were closely clustered together. However, the year 2012 stood out as an outlier in several states, suggesting unique crop conditions during that period. Based on the established relationships between NIRv peak and yield, we predicted crop yield data for 2022 and evaluated the accuracy of the predictions using the Root Mean Square Percentage Error (RMSPE). Our findings indicate the potential of NIRv peak in estimating crop yield at the county level, with varying accuracy across different counties.

Recently, many problems are occurring in the bee ecosystem due to rapid climate change. The decline in the bee population and changes in the flowering period are having a huge impact on the harvest of bee-keepers. Since it is impossible to continuously observe the beehives in the hive with the naked eye, most people rely on knowledge based on experience about the state of the hive. Therefore, interest is focused on smart beekeeping incorporating IoT technology. In particular, with regard to swarming, which is one of the most important parts of beekeeping, we know empirically that the swarming time can be determined by the sound of the queen bee, but there is no way to systematically analyze this with data. You may think that it can be done by simply recording the sound of the queen bee and analyzing it, but it does not solve various problems such as various noise issues around the hive and the inability to continuously record. In this study, we developed a system that records queen bee sounds in a real-time cloud system and analyzes sound patterns. After receiving real-time analog sound from the hive through multiple channels and converting it to digital, a sound pattern that was continuously output in the queen bee sound frequency band was discovered. By accessing the cloud system, you can monitor sounds around the hive, temperature/humidity inside the hive, weight, and internal movement data. The system developed in this study made it possible to analyze the sound patterns of the queen bee and learn about the situation inside the hive. Through this, it will be possible to predict the swarming period of bees or provide information to control the swarming period.
