Recently, open sources for geo-spatial information processing and analysis are being developed, and they are widely adopted for the various application development projects. Open sources in the geo-spatial communities consist in several levels or types: viewer, API-level, engine sources of SDK-level, or toolkits. Among them, spatial database engine of PostgreSQL-PostGIS is used in this study for the portable multi-geospatial information processing toolkit. This work can be extended to target-based applications with domain-specific spatial queries and analyses. Design and implementation are based on C Language Interface (LIBPQ) to PostGIS and OGC library on PostgreSQL database. Conclusively, PostGIS according to this approach is an important alternative to develop most applications dealing with multi-geospatial information due to its availability, extensibility, scalability, and stability.

The data base is a basis for the Management Information Systems (MIS) and Technical Data Packages(TDPs) are one of the key factors in the research and development activities. Most research institutes has been developed their own MIS and also MIS for the IDP has been advanced and applied in the various area. However, MIS and it's operation of the drawings and TDPs generated from researches and developments should be developed further more. In this study, we studied on the creation of data base of MIS related to the drawings, specifications and TDPs based on general concepts and priciple of MIS and data base. And finally, mentioned a design of data base consisting of drawing, specifications and related TDPs which are applied to MIS. To help to understand this system, it is presented, that three master files and six variable files were created, as a experimental data base, according to the "TOTAL" of CYBER computer system and two other user programs and it's outputs after computer run. It is expected that results of this study could be useful for TDP MIS enhancement through improvement of this study and new user program development.

The Web information sources can be regarded as the largest distributed database to the users. By virtually integrating the distributed information sources and regarding them as a single huge database, we can query the database to extract information. This capability is important to develop Web application programs. We have to infer a database schema from browsing-oriented Web documents in order to integrate databases. This paper presents a heuristic algorithm to infer the XML Schema fully automatically from semi-structured Web documents. The algorithm first extracts candidate pattern regions based on predefined structure-making tags, and determines a target pattern region using a few heuristic factors, and then derives XML Schema extraction rules from the target pattern region. The schema extraction rule is represented in XQuery, which makes development of various application systems possible using open standard XML tools. We also present the experimental results for several public web sources to show the effectiveness of the algorithm.

HyperCard used the concept of hypertext not only is the database management program and the educational medium used hypermedia but also provides the environment able to develop the educational software. In this paper, the concept and characteristics of HyperCard are reviewed, and the example applied HyperCard program to library user education are given.

Graphs have provided a powerful methodology to solve a lot of real-world problems, and therefore there have been many proposals on the graph representations and algorithms. But, because most of them considered only memory-based graphs, there are still difficulties to apply them to large-scale problems. To cope with the difficulties, this paper proposes a graph representation and graph algorithms based on the well-developed relational database theory. Graphs are represented in the form of relations which can be visualized as relational tables. Each vertex and edge of a graph is represented as a tuple in the tables. Graph algorithms are also defined in terms of relational algebraic operations such as projection, selection, and join. They can be implemented with the database language such as SQL. We also developed a library of basic graph operations for the management of graphs and the development of graph applications. This database approach provides an efficient methodology to deal with very large- scale graphs, and the graph library supports the development of graph applications. Furthermore, it has many advantages such as the concurrent graph sharing among users by virtue of the capability of database.

In this paper, we implement the multimedia remote control system by using existing internet service or wired online. We also provide user-friendly convenient environment with developed application program named EzPlay and PC-EPG. The multimedia remote control system consists of integrated wireless transceiver of PC and TV connected USB type and the users can easily use lots of contents because EzPlay program provides appropriate UI mode on the PC and TV screen. The unposed system can operate real-time playing, reserved video receding and data storing function using internet mesh based on signal detecting control theory. The PC-EPG system is implemented by server/client web program and the client program based on visual C++/MFC processes data storing in client computer through TCP/IP. It also provides intelligent function that constructs database according to user's preference.

In this study, GNLP(GIS linked non-linear network analysis program) for pipeline system analysis has been developed. This GNLP gets the input data for pipeline analysis from existing GIS(geographic information system) data automatically, and has GUI(graphic user interface) for user. Non-Linear Method was used for hydraulic analysis of pipe network based on Hazen-Williams equation, and Microsoft Access of relational database management system(RDBMS) was used for the framework of database applied program. GNLP system environment program was improved so that a pipe network designer can input information data for hydraulic analysis of pipeline system more easily than that of existing models. Furthermore this model generate output such as pressure and water quantities in the form of a table and a chart, and also produces output data in Excel file. This model is also able to display data effectively for analysed data confirmation and query function which is the core of GIS program.

The digital map data of national basemap which will be basic data of the information age is accomplished to produce and are ready to distribute to public. Generally, the quality of digital map is affected to data history, position accuracy, attribute accuracy, logical consistency and completeness. The quality of digital map Is assured to use basic data for the field of various appication. The purpose of this study is to develop automated qualify control program of digital map through analysis type of errors in digital mapping, to determine method of high quality digital mapping. As a results of this study, The automated quality control program of digital map is developed to assure logical consistency and completeness of digital map which is used to principal data in the field of GIS and is determined the process of high quality digital mapping. Also, the results of this study is contributed to quality assrence and accuracy improvement of national basemap digital mapping database.

본 연구에서는 GIS를 이용하여 산불관련 데이터베이스를 구축하고 효과적인 산불 현황정보 검색시스템을 개발하녀 산불 관리자에게 효율적인 공간분석 도구를 제공함으로서 산불에 관한 종합적인 공간정보를 빠른 시간 내에 분석하여 속성을 갱신·추출 할 수 있도록 하는 효과적인 GUI(Graphic User Interface)를 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 최근 10년간의 산불현황 통계자료를 이용한 전국 시·군단위의 공간분포도를 작성하여 전국 산불 발생현황을 시·공간적으로 분석하고 산불 발생에 미치는 다양한 요인들과의 상관성을 분석 가능하였다. 특히 최근 산불발생이 빈번한 삼척시의 지형도 및 임상도, 위성영상, 현지사진을 이용하여 GIS 데이터베이스를 구축함으로서 산불 발생위험지역에 대한 보다 상세한 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 본 시스템은 응용프로그램 개발을 위한 플랫폼은 IBM호환 PC에서 Windows 98을 운영체 제로 하여 DBMS는 Access 2000을 이용하였고 프로그래밍 언어로는 객체지향언어인 Visual Basic 6.0과 GIS 기능을 구현하기 위해서 Component GIS인 MapObjects 2.0을 사용 하였다. 그 결과 산불관리자는 진화에 필요한 관리구역내의 정보를 신속하게 제공받을 뿐만 아니라 산불방제사업에 대한 효과적인 의사결정지원과 함께 실무자 중심의 산불관리행정을 도모하 고 산림자원관리비가 효율적으로 이용될 것이다.

Theme park automation system is developed by using the RFID sensor reader, IIS web server, ASP.NET and MSSQL database in this paper. Its operation is that park entrance people checked automatically when he who possessed the ta8 passed the reader acquisition bound and its tag information is sent to the host computer through the RS-232 data acquisition system. Tag information and time data will be stored in the RFID database tables and reused to extract and distribute the entrance people for the purpose of each arrangement of each entertainment devices. First of all, we developed interface program between host and reader and then, programmed the related web site and database connection function using ASP.NET with $C\#$ and MSSQ. We also design and make an production of external Ant. to extend the acquisition range up to $30\~40$ cm using copper PCB plate. We confirmed the performance through the RFID test bed site.
