The Development of Traffic Queue Length Estimation Algorithm Using the Occupancy Rates (점유율을 이용한 대기행렬길이 추정 알고리즘 개발)

  • The purpose of this research is how to estimate the traffic queue length in the signal intersection accurately. The current traffic queue length algorithm in COSMOS has been using the congestion diagram which comes from the speed of an average separated vehicle - using average vehicle length and the occupancy time from loop detectors. So some errors were occurred by the speed estimation method using average vehicle lengths. And Operators had been difficult to optimize some variables for measuring the traffic queue length estimation algorithm in COSMOS. Therefore the traffic queue length estimation algorithm on the basis of the relation between distances and occupancy rates from loop detectors was developed in this thesis. This thesis had the advantage of using occupancy rates which came out from loop detectors easily and no need to optimize some variables for the established algorithm in COSMOS. And the results of testing this algorithm in some sites which had installed COSMOS system showed better results than COSMOS system's results. But it was noted that further studies which carry it out in various sites and under various cases are necessary for applying to actual intersections.

Performance Test of the WAAS Tropospheric Delay Model for the Korean WA-DGNSS (한국형 WA-DGNSS를 위한 WAAS 대류층 지연 보정모델의 성능연구)

  • The precipitable water vapor (PW) was estimated using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) from several GNSS stations within the Korean Peninsula. Nearby radiosonde sites covering the GNSS stations were used for the comparison and validation of test results. GNSS data recorded under typical and severe weather conditions were used to generalize our approach. Based on the analysis, we have confirmed that the derived PW values from the GNSS observables were well agreed on the estimates from the radiosonde observables within 10 mm level. Assuming that the GNSS observables could be a good weather monitoring tool, we further tested the performance of the current WAAS tropospheric delay model, UNB3, in the Korean Peninsula. Especially, the wet zenith delays estimated from the GNSS observables and from UNB3 delay model were compared. Test results showed that the modelled approach for the troposphere (i.e., UNB3) did not perform well especially under the wet weather conditions in the Korean Peninsula. It was suggested that a new model or a near real-time model (e.g., based on regional model from GNSS or numerical weather model) would be highly desirable for the Korean WA-DGNSS to minimize the effects of the tropospheric delay and hence to achieve high precision vertical navigation solutions.

  • Currently, the height of ships that can pass under Busan Harbor Bridge is limited to 60m or shorter, so that large-sized ships of 60m or taller cannot use Busan Harbor international passenger terminal. Accordingly, this study has developed a service which measures continuously the change of bridge height by water level changes and provides such in real-time for safe bridge passage of large-sized ships of 60m or taller. The measurement system comprised of high-precision laser distance measurement device, GPS sensor, optical module, and damping structure is used to measure the bridge height change according to tide level changes, and the measured information is provided in real-time through cloud-based mobile app. Also, in order to secure objective bridge height data for changes to height limits and navigation supports, the observation data was analyzed and forecast model was drawn. As a result, it became an objective evidence to revise the passage height rules of the Busan Port Bridge from 60 meters to 63 meters.

  • 가스장 이온원(GFIS: Gas Field Ionization Source)은 전자현미경보다 분해능이 향상된 이온현미경의 광원으로 사용하기 위하여 연구되고 있고, 큰 각전류 밀도, 작은 크기의 가상 이온원 그리고 좁은 에너지 퍼짐을 특징으로 한다. 여러 가지 장점을 가지고 있는 GFIS을 개발하기 위해서는 GFIS에서 발생된 이온빔의 형상을 관찰 것이 매우 중요하며, 이러한 관찰을 위한 시스템에는 주로 마이크로 채널 플레이트 (MCP: Micro Channel Plate)가 사용된다. MCP는 채널내부에 입사한 입자의 에너지에 의해서 생성된 이차전자를 수 천 배에서 수 백 만 배 이상 증폭시켜 형광판에 조사하고 발광시키는 방법으로 작은 신호를 영상으로 관찰 할 수 있도록 한다. MCP의 큰 증폭비는 작은 크기의 신호를 큰 신호로 증폭하여 관찰하는데 용이하여, GFIS 방법으로 생성된 이온빔(이온빔 전류 값은 pA 수준)을 관찰하기에 적합하다. 그러나 MCP를 이용하여도 증폭된 이온빔의 세기가 매우 작기때문에 생성된 이온빔 형상을 정확하게 관찰하기 위해서는 MCP의 형광판을 촬영하는 카메라 노출시간을 길게하여 데이터 수집 시간을 늘려야 하는 문제가 있다. 본 발표에서는 이온빔 형상 관찰에 소요되는 시간을 단축하기 위하여 MCP의 잡음이 GFIS의 이온빔 이미지 관찰에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 이를 제거 방법을 소개한다. 본 연구에서는 GFIS 방출 이온빔의 이미지에 포함된 MCP 잡음 특성을 장(전계)이온현미경 (Field Ion Microscope)실험을 통하여 분석하였고, 디지털 이미지 처리 방법을 이용하여 방출 이온빔 이미지에서 MCP 잡음을 제거하여 방출 이온빔 이미지만 추출할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법을 GFIS 방출 이온빔 관찰시스템에 적용함으로써 기존 방법에 비해 노출시간을 단축하여 방출 이온빔을 관찰 할 수 있었으며, 노이즈 제거 효과로 향상된 이온빔 형상을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구결과의 관찰시간 단축과 향상된 이온빔 형상 획득은 이온현미경 개발에 필수적인 단원자 이온빔을 보다 효율적으로 개발할 수 있으며 디지털 이미지 처리로 GFIS 이온빔 생성을 자동화하는데 응용할 수 있다. 더불어 기존방법에 비해 이미지 획득을 위한 MCP의 노출시간을 단축할 수 있으므로 실험장비 수명 단축 방지 및 관리에 큰 장점이 있다.

  • 위험물 차량사고는 일반차량의 교통사고시 발생하는 인명피해, 재산피해, 교통지체 외에 부가적으로 환경적 영향에 의한 엄청난 인명 및 재산손실을 유발시킬 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 위험물차량사고를 예방하고 피해를 최소로 줄이기 위해서는 위험물수송경로의 신중하고 체계적인 결정이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 외국의 경우, 위험물의 방출이 미치는 환경적 영향에 대한 인식이 확대되면서 위험물 수송시 응급처리에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송에 따른 위험도 평가에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송시 고려해야할 여러 조건에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송경로 설정에 관한 연구 등이 진행되고 있다. 반면에 우리 나라는 위험물차량관리와 사고처리에 대해 실시간적인 관리를 목표로 하는 국가차원의 계획을 수립하고는 있지만, 현재 이와 관련된 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 앞으로 산업발달에 따른 위험물수송량의 증가와 환경의식의 변화에 따라 위험물수송 및 사고처리 등에 관한 연구가 필요할 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 위험물차량의 운송경로를 결정할 때 고려해야 할 여러 가지의 기준 및 목표에 따라 위험물수송경로를 설정하는 모형을 제시함으로써 위험물수송에 수반되는 위험을 최소화하면서 위험물차량의 통행시간, 거리, 비용 등을 최적화하여 위험물수송의 안전 및 운영효율성을 향상시키고자 한다. 먼저, 위험물 수송경로의 기준지표로 사용될 위험도를 산정하기 위해 링크 주변노출인구, 밀도 등을 변수로 하는 모형식을 제안하고, 두 번째로 산정된 위험도를 기반으로 최적경로를 결정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 가상 네트웍에 본 연구에서 제안된 모형을 적용하고 현재 일반적으로 사용되는 최단경로와 비교·분석하였다.것은 운송거리와 운송비용이 각각 주요한 변수라는 것이다. 모형의 타당성을 검증하기 위해서는 logilikelihood 값을 구하여 $\rho$^2분석을 시행하였다. 여기서는 각 품목별로 $\rho$^2값이 약 0.15~0.3의 비교적 높은 수치를 보여주고 있으므로 모형의 설명력이 어느 정도 있다는 것이 아울러 증명이 되었다. 상관관계에 대한 분석에서는 영업용 차량간의 상관관계가 높게 나타났으며, 이는 곧 영업용 화물차량을 적재중량별로 구분하는 것이 별 의미가 없음을 의미한다. 다시 말하면 자가용 차량을 보유하고 있지 않은 회사는 다른 운송전문업체에 화물운송을 의뢰하게 되므로 출하중량에 따라 화물차량을 구분하는 것에 대해서 그다지 큰 고려를 하지 않는 것으로 해석할 수가 있다.적합함을 재확인함. 6. 혼잡초기를 제외한 혼잡기간 중 대기행렬길이는 밀도데이터 없이도 혼잡 상류부의 도착교통량과 병목지점 본선통과교통량만을 이용하여 추정이 가능함. 7. 이상에 연구한 결과를 토대로, 고속도로 대기행렬길이를 산정할 수 있는 기초적인 도형을 제시함.벌레를 대상으로 처리한 Phenthoate EC가 96.38%의 방제가로 약효가 가장 우수하였고 3월중순 및 4월중순 월동후 암컷을 대상으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한 시추공 내 물리검층과 정압

Soil Properties and Growth Characteristics by Production Periods of Zoysiagrass Sods (뗏장 재배기간에 따른 Zoysiagrass의 생육과 토양의 특성)

  • In order to establish the efficient sod production and soil management, there is a need to perform research on the growing condition of zoysiagrass on soil environments. With an attempt to identify the growth of zoysiagrass and the chemical characteristics of soil according to different growing seasons, this study was carried out in separate areas where zoysiagrass has been grown for 1 year, 10 years, 20 years, and 30 years. As the growing season became longer, bulk density of the soil was increased, porosity and gaseous phase were decreased. The level of pH was highest in the area where zoysiagrass has been produced for 30 years, whereas total nitrogen and organic matters were found to be the greatest in where zoysiagrass has been produced for 1 year. Accordingly, the chemical properties of soil were deteriorated more in the area with continuous cropping than in the area with 1 year of cropping. As the time period of producing zoysiagrass became longer, growth of shoot and root were decreased. In this study, it is required to produce zoysiagrass through soil improvement in areas that have been used for production for over 10 years.

Edge Response Analysis of UAV-Images Using a Slanted Target (경사 타겟을 이용한 무인항공영상의 경계반응 분석)

  • UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) photogrammetry has recently emerged as a means of obtaining highly precise and rapid spatial information due to its cost-effectiveness and high efficiency. However, current procedures or regulations for quantitative quality verification methods and certification processes for UAV-images are insufficient. In addition, the current verification method for image quality is not evaluated by an MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) analysis or edge response analysis, which can analyze the degree of contrast including image resolution, and only relies on the GSD (Ground Sample Distance) analysis. Therefore, in this study, the edge response analysis using a Slanted edge target was performed along with GSD analysis to confirm the necessity of analyzing edge response analysis in UAV-images quality analysis. Furthermore, a Matlab GUI-based software tool was developed to help streamline the edge response analysis. As a result, we confirmed the need for edge response analysis since the outputs of the edge response analysis from the same GSD had significantly different outcomes. Additionally, we found that the quality of the edge response analysis of UAV-images is proportional to the performance of the camera mounted on the UAV.

Evaluation of dietary intake in Korean adults according to energy intake from eating-out: Based on 2013~2014 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (성인 남녀에서 외식을 통한 열량 섭취 정도에 따른 영양소 및 식품군별 섭취 상태 평가 : 2013~2014 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여)

  • Purpose: The objective of the present study was to evaluate nutrient and food group intakes in Korean adults according to energy intake from eating-out. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study based on the 2013~2014 Korea National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey, and study subjects were 5,186 males (2,151) and females (3,035) aged 19~64 years. Energy intake from eating-out was analyzed using the 24-hour dietary recall method, and groups were classified by quartile according to energy intake from eating-out. Results: Subjects who had more energy intake from eating-out tended to be younger, highly educated, have a higher income, and have higher alcohol consumption. Total energy intake and fat intake density of the highest quartile group of energy intake from eating-out were higher than those of the other groups. However, fiber, vitamin $B_1$, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron intake density levels were significantly lower in the highest quartile group of energy intake from eating-out. The highest quartile group of energy intake from eating-out consumed significantly more meat and beverages compared to the other groups. In addition, regarding diet quality (Index of nutritional quality), significantly lower vitamin $B_1$, calcium, phosphorus, and iron levels were observed in the highest quartile group of energy intake from eating-out compared to those in the other groups. Conclusion: In conclusion, in Korean adults, consumption of eating-out decreased dietary quality, including vitamin $B_1$, calcium, phosphorus, and iron levels. Further studies are needed to confirm these findings.

The Effects of Sampling Flow Rate on the Concentrations of Dry Acid Deposition Components (산성 건성침적물 샘플링에 따른 유량변수가 그 대기중 농도측정에 미치는 영향)

  • One of the most critical problems associated with filter-pack data comparisons from various field networks is the use of different sampling flow rates. In this field study, the effects of various filter-pack(FP) sampling conditions were examined. Experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of varying sampling flow rates (1.5 to 10 sLpm) on measured concentrations of dry acid deposition species. Collocated FP samples were also collected to determine sampling and analysis data reproducibility. Ambient air samples were collected simultaneously for the seven day durations at varous flow rate. The chemical species measured were sulfur dioxide ($SO_2$), particulate sulfate(P-$SO_{4}^{2+}$), nitric acid ($HNO_3$), and particulate nitrate (P-$NO_{3}^{-}$). The results indicated that the collocated samples can be measured reproducibly and that sampling bias for the species measured is not significant. It was concluded that variations in the flow rates (1.5 to 10 sLpm) did not significantly affect the concentration of the species of interest. Although the results were not significantly different between different flow rates, artifacts were more likely to occur at high flow conditions (>5 sLpm) (e.g., via volatilization of particulate nitrates) than at low flow conditions(<5 sLpm).

Evaluation of at Rest Lateral Stress Coefficient Influenced by Particle Condition (입자의 조건에 따른 정지토압계수 평가)

  • At-rest lateral stress coefficient that is used for the evaluation of geotechnical structures such as foundations and retaining walls plays a significant role in the analysis and design, as a state variable of in-situ stress condition. In the widely applied Jaky's Ko equation stress condition can be inferred from the internal friction angle obtainable from the laboratory experimentation whereas the eguation mares it challenging to evaluate the influences and criteria of particle characteristics which is essential for the application of friction angles in practices. Thus, this study experimentally explored the behaviors of Ko depending on the relative density, particle shape, and surface roughness effect during a range of loading stages. The Ko values of Jumumjin sand, glass beads, and etched glass beads were measured using a customized Ko device housing strain gauges during loading-unloading-reloading steps, and the effect of dominant factors on Ko is analyzed. Results show that the high Ko prevails for both round and angular specimens with low relative density and the surface roughness has a nominal effect. The angular particles exhibit low Ko for specimens with similar relative density. The characteristics of relevance between Ko and friction angles with varying relative density are also investigated based on the experimental results using empirical correlations and previously reported values.
