WiBro 유무선통합커뮤니케이션 서비스는 WiBro 뿐만 아니라 유선 초고속 인터넷, 무선랜 등 통합 환경에서 메신저, 영상대화, MMS, e-메일 등 다양한 커뮤니케이션 서비스를 제공하는 서비스로 언제 어디서나 사용자가 상대방과 연결될 수 있는 유비쿼터스 커뮤니케이션을 제공한다. 다양한 단말, 장비기기들 및 사업자간의 상호 운용이 가능하도록 IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) 아키텍처를 기반으로 SIP 표준 프로토콜을 사용하여 구축되었으며 IP 커뮤니케이션을 중심으로 다양한 응용서비스 연동 및 제공이 가능하다.

3D Avatar Gesture Representation for Collaborative Virtual Environment Design (CVE 디자인을 위한 3D 아바타의 동작 표현 연구)

  • CVE(Collaborative Virtual Environment) is the virtually shared area where people cannot come together physically, but wish to discuss, collaborate on, or even dispute certain matters. In CVEs, in habitants are usually represented by humanoid embodiments, generally referred to as avatars. But most current graphical CVE systems fail to reflect the natural relationship between the avatar's gesture and the conversation that is taking place. More than 65% of the information exchanged during a person to person conversation is carried on the nonverbal band. Therefore, it is expected to be beneficial to provide such communication channels in CVEs in some way. To address this issue, this study proposes a scheme to represent avatar's gestures that can support the CVE users' communication. In the first level, this study classifies the non-verbal communication forms that can be applicable to avatar gesture design. In the second level, this study categorizes the body language according to the types of interaction with verbal language. And in the third level, this study examines gestures with relevant verbal expressions according to the body parts-from head to feet. One bodily gesture can be analyzed in the description of gesture representation, the meaning of gesture and the possible expressions, which can be used in gestural situation.

  • The paradigm of communication is changing by the generalization of mobile computers and the extension of network service. In the mobile messenger communication, people are increasingly using character emoticons to substitute linear text. This means that the character emoticons are functioning as narrative characters so that they are becoming the nonlinear techno-code, which can substitute for the alphabet code. As Vil$\acute{e}$m Flusser said, the post-modern communication is arrived. In this kind of communication, storytelling with character emoticons are effective enough to tell various stories. In this point of view, this paper tries to prove the functions of character emoticons and suggests the classification of the character emoticon series. This paper also structures the post-modern communication model as a new paradigm of visual communication.

  • The conversational agent, which is at the forefront of the 4th industry, aims to personalize the user-centered focus in the future and holds an important position to have a hub that can be connected to various IoT devices. It is a challenge for interactive agents to recognize the user's emotions and provide the correct interaction to personalization. The study first I looked at emotional definitions and scientific and engineering approaches. Then I recognized through social perspectives what social function and what factors emotions have and how they can be used to understand emotions. Based on this, I explored how users can be discovered emotional social factors in communication. This research has shown that social factors can be found in the user's speech, which can be linked to the social meaning of emotions. Finally, I propose a model to discover social factors in user communication. I hope that this will help designer and researcher to study user-centered design and interaction in designing interactive agents.

A Study on the Development of Policy Communication Index between Korean Government and People: Focused on the Comparison of Policy Types (한국 정부-국민 간 정책소통지수개발 연구: 정책유형별 비교를 중심으로)

  • This study is aimed at articulating the policy communication concept and developing the policy communication index between the Korean government and the public. Theoretically guided by dialogic communication theory, two step research was employed. In the first stage, the elements of policy communication were derived through literature review and in-depth interviews. In the second stage, online survey was conducted for the general public and reliability and validity were secured through confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis. The finalized policy communication index has two dimensions of mutuality and openness. The mutuality has six sub dimensions and the openness has three sub dimensions. The level of mutuality and openness of the policy communication index differed according to the policy type. In the cultural policy, which represents the traits of distribution policy, the degree of mutuality was strong, but the degree of openness was important in communication of education policy, which represents the traits of redistribution policy. This study is meaningful as an empirical study that verifies and suggests the influence of the policy communication index in the context of the policy communication and practical applicability to strategic public relations by understanding the dimensions of policy communication.

  • 최근 인터라넷 환경에서 특정 그룹내 사용자간의 커뮤니케이션을 위한 별도의 메시징 시스템이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 공학의 개발 절차에 따라 비쥬얼 C++ 프로그래밍 언어와 마이크로소프트사의 액세스를 이용하여 윈도우 환경에서 특정 그룹 내 사용자의 커뮤니케이션을 위한 메시징 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 이 시스템에서는 접근 제어를 위한 로그인, 메모 전달을 위한 쪽지 전달, 서로 메시지를 전달하는 대화, 파일을 송수신하는 파일 전송 모듈을 제공하고 있다.

  • The attribute of cartoon and comics has been known the combination of image and text. It is improved the we find the shape of comics at the first comics on the newspaper. But we can read the comic without word. These works don't give the difficult to read and it may transfer to readers by the image of figure on comics. Therefore how can the image reach the readers by the communication. This study is the research of the visual image communication and the attribute of wordless comics.

  • 최근 스마트폰의 사용률이 증가하고 다양한 어플리케이션이 등장하고 있다. 그 중에서도 스마트폰을 활용하여 사용자간 커뮤니케이션을 나눌 수 있는 어플리케이션에 대한 관심이 급증하고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 스마트폰 상에서 채팅방을 생성하여 관심사가 같은 여러 사용자들과 보이스 채팅을 나눌 수 있는 보이스 커뮤니케이션 시스템을 제안한다. 안드로이드 플랫폼 기반의 스마트폰에서 채팅방을 생성하고, 이곳에 제한된 인원이 모여서 대화가 가능하다. 본 시스템을 통하여 사용자들은 마음이 맞는 사람들과 음성으로 간편하게 커뮤니케이션할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Reflexion for Communication: A System Theory Perspective (소통을 위한 성찰: 체계이론의 관점으로 살펴본 성찰적 커뮤니케이션 이론 연구)

  • This paper seeks to deal with the point that in order to perform meaningful communication, a conscious act of reflexion must be involved. In other words, performance of communication inevitably requires self-reflexion. It is known that rationality and dialogism function as necessary preconditions and as goals of communication. But these concepts are very ambiguous because the communicational paradox is not considered. The interaction model could be thought to solve the paradox problems, but such solution can ultimately be seen as a result of ignoring the point that personal reflexion is necessary or covering up the logical problem by depending on concepts such as 'legitimation' or 'ideal discourse situation.' Therefore this paper views that the theory of communication based on Luhmann's system theory and constructivism has a more meticulous logics, and considers that the concept of reflexion specifically supplements the interaction model also by examining Schmidt's concept of fiction and Grant's concept of porous communication.

Effects of Organizational Communication Satisfaction of Teacher Librarians on Informational and Educational Services in School Libraries (사서교사의 조직 커뮤니케이션 만족도가 학교도서관의 정보·교육봉사에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of organizational communication satisfaction of teacher librarians on the informational and educational service and to draw implications for improvement of the school libraries' educational role. According to the results of the analysis, teacher librarians have preferred informal communication by conversation and face-to-face talk with superiors or co-workers and horizontal communication during their performance. Characteristics of teacher librarians, such as career, gender and school levels, have influential effect on user education, libraryassisted instruction, reading and information literacy instruction. The more teacher librarians felt satisfaction of the informal communication, the more textbook-related reference lists are offered. Horizontal communication have a positive influence on information literacy instruction. However, teacher librarians should utilize cooperative statements, committees and councils and actively participate in those horizontal communication methods to share the vision and aims of school libraries with the larger school community. Teacher librarians also should put more efforts into developing their leadership role and marketing strategies in order to overcome the weaknesses of informal communication.
