A Study on the Family Recognition and Distress of Dual-Earner Families (맞벌이 부부가족의 가족자원, 스트레스 인지수준 및 디스트레스에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of the stud is to present an model of the distress process for dual-earner couples. For the data set 340 husbands and wives in dual-earner families living in Pusan were chosen. The questionnaire was composed of Family Stressor Scale Family Resources Scale, Distress Scale. The data were analyzed with the SPSS statistical pacakage using t-test the one-rather than husband. And cothestion, adaptability and the level of stress recognition are important factors affecting the level of physical and psychological distress directly.

Premarital Violence : Review of Literature in 90's (혼전 단계의 폭력 : 1990년대 문헌고찰)

  • This article reviews the literature on premarital violence published in between 1991 and 1998. The long-term implications of courtship violence include the possibility of both aggressor and victim embarking on a lifelong pattern of abusive relationships. Courtship violence may be viewed as a precursor to marital/family violence. This article discusses channels of publication, subjects, measures, theoretical models tested, date rape, and violence in the family of origin. Implications for family life education and intervention are discussed.

A Study of the Underground Spaces for Future Housing (미래주거의 지하공간 활용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the possible usage of underground space as a future housing. This study looked into the ancient underground housing at first and also identified the features of underground housing in the positive and negative aspects. Four types of underground housing; chamber type, atrium type, elevation type, and penetration type; were investigated. The current situation of korean underground housing was also reviewed. And last, some possible implications were discussed. This article could be used as the basis for the development of future underground housing.

Exploration of variables related to mother-adolescent conflict (어머니-청소년 자녀간의 갈등에 관련된 변인)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore variables that influence mother-adolescent conflict. Independent variables were adolescent's physical maturation, mother's self-esteem, and mother-adolescent communication pattern. The results were as follows: First, the degree of mother-adolescent conflict perceived by adolescents was low in general, but high in homework and academic achievement. Second, no sex difference was found in the degree of mother-adolescent conflict. Third, the mother-adolescent conflict was not significantly related to both of adolescent's physical maturation and mother's self-esteem. However, mother-adolescent communication meaning that the more open the communication between mother and adolescent was, the less conflict was found between them.

  • This study compared the consumption expenditure patterns and the effects of socio-demographic variables of elderly and nonelderly households in urban areas of Korea. The data were obtained from the 1994 Family Income and Expenditure Survey conducted by the National Statistical Office. The results showed the differences between elderly and nonelderly households in the expenditure levels of each consumption category, the shares of each consumption category of total expenditures, and the effects of socio-demographic variables on expenditures.

Maladjustment and Daily Hassles Perceived by Teen-aged Children (십대자녀가 지각한 일상적 스트레스와 부적응)

  • This study was performed to analyze the trends of teen-aged children's daily hassles, the difference of maladjustment according to daily hassles level and to investigate the influence of variables on maladjustment of teen-aged children. The main results of this study were as follows: 1. The mean score of study-related daily hassles were higher than other daily hassles type. 2. Depression, over-anxiousness and delinquency were significantly different according to daily hassles level. 3. The findings of multiple regression analysis shoed different variables in according to maladjustment type.

Evaluating Comfort of Indoor Environment Based on Residents' Responses (신도시 아파트 거주자의 실내환경 쾌적성 평가)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a model for evaluating comfort of indoor environment based on residents' subjective respones. The questionnaire survey was given to the residents at apartment complex located in Ilsan, Kyunggi-Do. The following are the results obtained in this thesis. The results of path analysis on comfort revealed that direct effects to comfort were the satisfaction on thermal environment, indoor air environment and sound environment, and the cognition on indoor air environment and sound environment. An evaluation formula of comfort by the factors of direct effects was given. This formula is recommended to evaluate comfort for pp.O.E(post occupancy evaluation)by residents.

  • The aim of this study was to analyze the apartment management expenses in the district of Pusan. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Haeundae Gu DB apartment showed the highest APT management expenses. 2. Kumjung Gu KSJK APT showed the Lowest management expenses. 3. The number of household and the period of construction didn’t have significant influences on the management expenses. 4. The method of heating system and the method of management had significant influences over the management expenses.

Video Usage in Early Childhood Programs (유아교육기관에서의 비디오 매체 활용)

  • This study was carried out to analyze video usage in early childhood programs. Two-hundred-ninety-four teachers in half-day and all-day early childhood programs responded to a questionnaire developed by a researcher. Descriptive analysis and chi-square tests were used to answer research questions. The findings were as follows: ① 78% of the programs had at least one video equipment and half of the programs had a video equipment in each classroom. ② Video usage in early childhood programs were differed by leacher’s age, career level, educational level, and type of early childhood programs as well as type of class management.

  • Korean population patters has become so called aged society by this July through the aged composed over 7% in whole population. It is worldly concern how can increase elderly people’s life satisfaction by providing homelike elderly housing facilities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the meaning of home, how to express the homelike characteristics into physical design and identify their housing satisfaction. The results were discussed and design ideas were suggested.
