This study analyzed statistically the determinants that affect the royalties of knowledge technology transfer, which accounts for a considerable portion of university technology transfer. As knowledge technology transfer certainly includes a move from tacit knowledge from one side to the other side per se, the scope of knowledge technology transfer is unclear and numerical information of technology transfer, such as research fund scale, which is used widely in previous studies, cannot be used in the analysis. Therefore, this study focused on the researcher characteristics and included its explanatory variables in the present study. In addition, it included the technical characteristics of the knowledge transferred and the characteristics of the contracting company. The knowledge maturity calculated from the appointment year and contract date positively affects the technology royalties, but work experience and patent activity of the researcher are not statistically significant. Statistically significant differences in the technology royalty according to the type of technology transfer and the company location were observed, but there was no meaningful change in the technology royalty depending on the technical field and company business scale.

The purpose of this study is to review current issues in practices of acquisition, organization and access to the web resources operating at libraries. Literature reviews were conducted to analyze patterns of access to the web resources, such as electronic journals, bibliographic databases and web sites used at libraries. Also analyzed was information seeking behaviors of researchers how they access to web resources.

This study examined research data management practices from the perspectives of university researchers. A survey was conducted for principal investigators of projects in universities selected to be funded by National Research Foundation in 2010 and 2011. Predicated on the analysis of 131 survey responses, there was a great difference in types of research data between Humanities & Social Science fields and Science, Medicine and Engineering fields. Most respondents added value of their data by linking to other types of information or combining data from other sources. For storing data, PC or portable media were generally employed, and around 80% of respondents saw their data having a useful life under 10 years. Data was shared within research team and with outside researchers who requested data. The percentage of respondents who have reused data was higher than that of respondents who have shared data. In order to obtain data for reuse, the majority of respondents drew data from published articles, or contacted data creators. In most cases, mechanisms for managing data did not exist in projects or universities where respondents belong. Since the level of satisfaction with long-term preservation and metadata description of research data was found to be low, it was necessary to develop data archiving services to support the data management procedures.

지난해 인문학 위기를 둘러싼 인문대학 학장들의 논란이 있어왔는데, 이 선언을 바라보는 시선은 냉소적이다. 오늘날은 오히려 인문정신을 더 절실하게 추구하는 시대로 인문대학 학장들의 성명은 현실의 변화를 너무 확대해석한 것이 아닐까 싶다. 인문학의 위상이 떨어지고 있고, 대학이 취업과 직접 연결되는 사회 분위기에서 인문학 전공학과가 어느 정도 구조조정의 대상이 되는 것은 피할 수 없다. 따라서 인문학 고유의 학문 특성을 대학이라는 제도 안에서 구현하기 위해서 인문학은 대학 교양교육에 더 적극적이고 주도적으로 참여해야 하며, 인문학자의 본령이 무엇인지 재정립해야 한다. 또한 인문학자들은 인류가 당면한 현재의 문제에 대해 적극 발언해야 한다. 결국 인문학의 위기는 인문학 연구자 스스로 극복하려고 노력했을 때 진정한 극복의 가능성을 발견할 수 있다.

This study aimed to investigate data management practices of university researchers in Korea, as well as their experiences and perceptions of data sharing and reuse. For this purpose, it performed semi-structured interviews of 13 researchers who agreed to participate in interviews followed by a survey conducted prior to this study. The interview participants created or collected research data with various types and formats, and only a few conducted data documentation while they recognized its significance. The majority of participants perceived the period that data would be useful as the period that data can be employed for publications. However, most participants wanted to preserve data beyond the period that data would be considered useful and it indicates they have no small need for data storage and preservation. Participants usually shared data with those whom they have known, such as a personal research group or a research team. While some completely agree with the principle that publicly-funded data should be open to the public, others partially agreed or disagreed with it. Most participants were concerned about being scooped, plagiarism, and maintaining the first right to publish and incentives to mitigate the concerns would be necessary.

Cyber 대학의 활성화에 따른 연구는 강의 교재의 개발 등 효과적인 학습법 개발에 치중되고 있다. 하지만 Cyber 대학의 성패를 좌우할 수 있는 또 다른 주요 요소는 행정적인 뒷받침이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 Cyber 대학의 행정시스템을 설계 구현하였다. 특히 Cyber대학에서 필요로 하는 멀티미디어 문서를 효율적으로 관리하고 프리젠테이션 할 수 있는 XML문서관리시스템을 계층구조로 구성하였다. 전체 구성도는 XML을 기반으로 한 문서생성, 저장, 검색시스템으로 구성하였으며, 사용자측 구성에서는 문서의 등록, 수정 삭제를 수행하는 문서작성과 검색을 주요 기능으로 하는 일반사용자로 구성하였다. 연구자가 제안한 본 논문의 행정시스템 구현 환경에서는 문서를 등록하고 결재 및 열람하는 사용자로 구현하였다.

최근 들어 미국, 유럽, 인도 등과의 FTA체결 등을 통해서 대한민국의 경제시장이 날로 증가해가고 있으며, 이제 해외와의 협력은 우리에게 선택이 아닌 필수가 되어가고 있다. 얼마 전 한 신문에 국내기업과 일본기업의 경쟁력을 비교하는 흥미로운 기사가 소개되었다. 이 신문에서는 국내기업들이 한정된 내수시장을 극복하기 위해 해외로 적극적으로 진출하였기 때문에 우수한 경쟁력을 확보하였으며, 반면 일본기업의 경우 안정된 내수시장이 오히려 해외로 진출할 기회를 가로막아 스스로와 경쟁력을 감퇴시켰다고 분석하였다. 이러한 사례는 우리 대학들에 시사하는 바가 크다. 우리 대학들의 주요한 연구성과라 할 수 있는 논문의 경우 이공계를 보면 대다수의 논문이 이미 해외의 각종 유명 학술지에 게재되고 있다. 특히 우수한 연구성과의 산물이라 할 수 있는 SCI논문의 경우 2008년기준으로 경제규모에 걸맞은 세계 12위에 랭크되어 있다. 또한 특허의 경우 이미 세계 4위의 출원대국이다. 이러한 성과로 인하여 국제공개어에 한글이 채택되는 성과까지 거두고 있는 상황이다. 또한 MB정부가 들어서면서 매년 R&D연구비를 10%이상 증가시킬 계획에 있으며, 이러한 노력을 통해 연구성과물의 수준도 향상되어 SCIENCE, CELL, NATURE등의 저명학술지 게재가 늘고 있는 등 연구성과가 세계적인 수준으로 접근해가고 있다. 반면에 이러한 성과에도 불구하고 아직 대다수 대학들의 글로벌 산학협력은 미비한 수준이다. 교육분야에 대한 글로벌화는 최근 들어 많은 변화가 이루어지고 있지만, 산학협력부분에 대한 글로벌화는 활성화 되지 못한 것이 현실이다. 그러나 앞으로 해외와의 산학협력은 대학과 연구자에게 선택이 아닌 필수가 될 전망이다. 정부에서는 현재 국제협력 분야의 R&D연구비를 급증시키고 있으며, 우리나라의 기업이 해외로 활발하게 진출하는 상황에서 이제 연구수준도 국내가 아닌 해외에서도 인정받을 수 있는 수준을 요구 받고 있다. 이와 같이 급변하는 상황에서 이제 해외와의 산학협력은 대학과 연구자들에게 새로운 도전이며, 경쟁력을 업그레이드 할 수 있는 기회로 다가오고 있다. 이에 최근 한양대학교의 해외와 기술이전, 사업화, 공동연구, R&D센터유치와 관련된 산학협력 사례 소개를 통해 우리나라 대학의 산학협력을 업그레이드하는 방향을 모색해 보고자 한다.

The objective of this study lies in researching what kind of literature is mainly used by researchers in the related field by analyzing the research pattern of researchers who major in the same field of science. and to propose a list of literature that is indispensable for college libraries to prepare. Based on such analysis results of cited literature. this study is to propose necessary standards for selecting and reading journals in the field of Library and Information Science(LIS) in the libraries of Korean colleges where a LIS department is established.

본 연구는 1주기 전문대학혁신지원사업에 참여한 전문대학 중에서 주요 대학의 혁신 사업목표 및 프로그램의 주요 핵심어들을 분석하여 향후 혁신지원사업의 방향과 성관관리 방안을 도출하는 것이다. 2주기 혁신지원사업은 학령인구 급감과 사회변화에 대응하여 대학의 경쟁력을 추진하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 1주기 전문대학혁신지원사업 자율협약형 전문대학들 중 50개 대학의 사업목표 및 프로그램의 핵심어 및 연결성 등을 분석하여 워드클라우드로 제시하였다. 본 연구자는 본 연구결과에 기초하여, 각종 정부재정지원 사업 계획서를 분석하여 그들간의 중복성과 연계성 등에 대한 후속 연구를 진행할 계획이다.

보다 높은 공간분해능과 광검출능을 가지면서 분자의 고속 시간 응답 또는 거동 관측을 할 수 있는 Imaging 장치는 여러 가지 Nanotechnology를 포함한 요소기술의 진보에 따라 매일 새로워지고 있다. 그 중에서 분자관측에 의해 비로서 분명해지는 생체활동의 해명, 의료적으로 중요한 새로운 지견, 신규 유기재료 개발 등이 가능하게 되었으며, 얼마나 요소기술을 미묘하게 조합해 갈 것인지가 중요한 점이다. 이것은 분자관측을 목표로 하는 연구자뿐 아니라 이들 장치를 개발하는 기술자 또는 기업의 제휴가 필요하다는 것을 말한다. 이후에는 이들 연구자나 장치 제조사를 연결하여 상세한 대응을 하는 사업도 중요해질 것이다. 본고는 <광기술컨텍트 2009년 1월호>에 게재된 Takiguchi Yoshihiro 교수(Hikari Sangyo Sosei(광산업창성(光産業創成))대학원대학)의 기고문을 발췌, 번역한 것이다.
