A Comparative Study on e-Learning Satisfaction between Korea and China (한국과 중국의 이러닝 만족도에 관한 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of e-learning quality and learner's usage motivation on e-learning satisfaction in Korea and China. In addition, by comparing and analyzing the factors influencing the satisfaction of learners between the two countries, this study aims to suggest the effective use of e-learning. This study surveyed Korean university students at Y and K universities in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Chinese university students at A university in Henan, China. As a result, for Korean university students, it is showed that learning time, learning space, learning process, usefulness, e-learning information quality, and service quality affect e-learning satisfaction. For Chinese university students, learning time, learning process and e-learning system quality, information quality, and service quality were found to affect e-learning satisfaction. Among them, service quality was an important factor influencing e-learning satisfaction in both countries, but the average score of each factor was very low. In the future, we discussed ways to improve service quality.

  • 최근 모바일 비디오 스트리밍 서비스의 이용자 수가 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 모바일 환경에 적합한 DASH 비디오 스트리밍 메커니즘이 연구되었고, 이것을 DQN 기법에 의해 개선한 알고리즘은 모바일 네트워크 환경에서 적절한 비디오 품질 선택을 통해 버퍼링을 크게 줄일 수 있었다. 그러나 이는 모바일 요금제로 비디오 스트리밍 서비스를 이용하는 사용자들에게 안정적인 서비스를 제공하기 어렵다. 이에 본 논문은 기존의 DQN 기법에 의한 알고리즘을 발전시켜 사용자의 모바일 요금제에 적합한 비디오 품질을 선택하는 알고리즘을 연구하고 성능 실험 결과를 분석한다. 또한 이 알고리즘을 전체 모바일 비디오 스트리밍 시스템과 통합하여 이용하도록 제안한다.

The effects of Perceived Risk concerning Korean medical Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction and Revisit Intention of Kazakhstan patients (한국병원 의료서비스품질에 있어 지각된위험이 고객만족 및 재방문의도에 미치는 영향 - 카자흐스탄 고객 중심으로-)

  • Purposes: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of health service quality and perceived risks of Korean hospitals on the satisfaction and revisit of Kazakhstan's customers. Among two classified groups: health service providers and health service receivers, this study aims to identify the effects of health service receivers in Kazakhstan's health service quality and perceived risks on customer satisfaction. Methodology: Hypotheses were developed upon the explanations on health service quality, perceived risks, customer satisfaction, and revisit, advanced by prior literature. A survey was conducted on the effects of health service receivers in Kazakhstan's health service quality and perceived risks on customer satisfaction and revisit. The proposed hypotheses were confirmed by examining validity and reliability of the collected data, followed by regression analysis. Findings: First, the five dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles showed a positive correlation between the impacts of health service quality and customer satisfaction of Korean hospitals. Second, the physical risk, social risk, time-loss risk showed a negative correlation. Lastly, the relation between customer satisfaction and revisit showed a positive correlation. Practical Implication: Health service quality and perceived risks were identified to impose significant effects on Kazakhstan customers. The identified results suggest that Korean hospitals should implement management strategies based on the customers' satisfaction factor.

Identification of Critical Service Quality and Educational Factors Influencing Students' Satisfaction of Liberal Arts Education in Korea (한국 대학 교양교육에 만족을 주는 서비스 품질요인과 교육요인 및 단과대학별 만족도 분석 연구)

  • This study investigated the relation between the liberal arts education service and students' satisfaction. The results of the study show that students are satisfied with all of five service quality factors, students' intention of studying, full time instructors' teaching and high GPA in taking liberal arts classes. However, educational factors such as the quantity of home work, frequency of test and the size of class, which can influence the quality and contents of classes, do not impact the students' satisfaction of liberal arts education. The college students of Korea may tend to be more satisfied with the liberal arts classes which they feel easier to study and to get better grades.

  • In this paper, we show how to provide high quality image service using cloud server and image quality enhancement algorithm. In other words, based on the concept of ViVa (Video Value Addition) proposed in the paper, we propose an improved system compared to the existing streaming service by providing a high-quality video with the transmission bit rate and calculation amount necessary to serve low-quality images.

  • 본 연구에서는 대학급식소의 성공적인 운영과 소비자들의 만족도를 향상시키기 위하여 서울지역의 5개 대학교에 재학중인 남녀 대학생 500명을 대상으로 대학급식소의 음식에 대한 중요도와 수행도, 서비스에 대한 기대도와 인식도를 5점척도로 측정하였다. 음식의 품질에 대한 중요도는 ‘음식의 맛’이 4.39로 가장 높았고 ‘가격’(4.21), ‘음식의 간’(4.17), ‘메뉴의 다양성’(4.14), ‘음식의 온도’(3.96), ‘음식의 양’(3.81), ‘음식의 외관’(3.61)순으로 나타났다. (중략)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationships among service quality, corporate image, and customer satisfaction of a financial institution in J city of Gyeongnam. The results show as follows. First, service quality affects positively corporate image. Second, service quality affects positively customer satisfaction. Third, corporate image affects positively customer satisfaction. Specifically, among the dimensions of service quality, the most significant predictor of corporate image is responsiveness, while the most significant predictor of customer satisfaction is tangibles. Further discussion and managerial implications can be drawn from these findings.

  • This study aims at examining how academic library staffs' service quality affects the user satisfaction and continuance intention, and also seeking practical solutions for improving the satisfaction and continuance intention in academic libraries. Despite the value and importance of human-mediated library services which enable various library services to be more valuable, relatively few prior studies focuses on this topic. This study develops a conceptual framework based on the concepts of service quality, satisfaction, and continuance intention. This framework provides a useful guideline for data collection and data analyses. Values of this study include ensuring the continuance intention by suggesting strategies that may increase users' positive attitude toward human-mediated services in academic libraries, and methodologically, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

  • This research focused on searching the specialized factors which affect the cyber universities' performance. This research was approached from three perspective of professor, graduation and employment, and brand image to embody the cyber universities' performance. We drew five factors of contents variety, contents quality, practical orientation of contents, lecture presence, and learning management as the Influencing factors of cyber universities' performance. We proved our research model by analyzing 170 questionnaires which were completed by college students who were studying at cyber universities in China. The results of analysis are showed as below: 1) The level of contents variety can affect the cyber universities' performance; higher level gains better outcomes. 2) The level of contents quality can affect the cyber universities' performance; better quality gains better outcomes. 3) The level of practical orientation of contents can affect the cyber universities' performance; the higher the better. 4) The level of lecture presence can affect the cyber universities' performance; the stronger the better. 5) The level of learning management can affect the cyber universities' performance; the higher the better.

  • 본 연구는 지역축제에 있어 축제참가자에 대해 긍정적인 영향을 주는 요인이 무엇인지를 알아보고자 한다. 지역축제의 경우 경제적, 환경적, 사회 문화적 영향을 받는다는 기존 연구들의 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서도 이러한 요인들을 반영하여 지역축제에서 필요한 서비스품질은 무엇인지를 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과들의 도출을 우리나라의 지자체에서 시행하고자 하는 지역축제에서 필요로 하는 전략의 방향을 정하는데 도움을 주고 수도권에 비교하여 낙후된 지방의 문화생활 발전에 기여하고자 한다.
